  • Korrig Harbor City | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Korrig Harbor City Korrig Harbor City Year 10,012 Month of Stirps The once welcoming shores of Korrig Harbor City have been....destroyed. An undead army has come from the seas, wiping out people and structures and enslaved all of those left behind from the initial massacre. Those who entered can no longer leave...at least the ones left alive. His name is Sidisi, and he has come to claim what he thinks is rightfully his. His true intentions? No one quite knows. All the people know is second hand from the VERY RARE that managed to escape after the onslaught began. Will he stay? Will he continue his rage? Is there any hope? Year 10,012 Month of Ceres With the mess created, it seems Timothy Slade has taken notice. Coming to the city himself, the town has been cleared. Leaving a rather large crater to the middle. Those who witnessed the event have rumored that it was Timothy himself that destroyed what was left, leaving those alive still breathing. Others have whispered that it was a "weapon" of his. No one is quite sure, but silently and reluctantly give thanks to the once revered mad man for "saving" them from something worse. The King, having heard of the eradication of Sidisi, has put out a notice of aide. He has sent some of his mages to the city to help rebuilding, offering anyone who does rebuild, a home. Years 10,012 Month of Nivalis Quick work has been made to Korrig. It did not take long for those looking for new homes and those who had once called the harbor city home to rebuild and restore Korrig. It is not functioning and home to old and new. Year 10,017 Month of Bruma BREAKING NEWS (From Simul Quarterly) Yet another sad story. This one out of Korrig Harbor City. It was reported two hours ago that a group of four people (Three men and one woman) were witnessed setting a blaze to three docks on the ocean. Not only were the docks destroyed, but various ships, costing the victims hundreds of thousands of coin. Authorities have no announced how many casualties, if any, but there have been reports of upwards of fifteen people missing or not accounted for. After putting together all witness statements, our crew has drawn, to the best of their abilities, what the perpetrators may have looked like. It is asked, if anyone has any other information, to contact your local authorities. All donations or any able bodied individuals who would like to help, please visit Korrig and head on over to Dock's Harbor. The owner has been organizing relief efforts and can instruct you on how to best aide. This is Flynn, signing off... Dissilio 5th, 10,1017 Taken from BREAKING NEWS: It is my displeasure to bring the most current news to Simul. As much as I would love to not have to relay this information, it is my duty to keep you all informed and as safe as I can. With that, I must weave together the details of last night’s horrors. Before the sun began to descend, something else fell upon our great kingdom. From what we can gather, the first attack was in Korrig. Despite the docks already having taken a major hit, it appears the assailants decided they needed to come back to finish the job. Unfortunately, the structures are a complete loss. Even worse, it has been reported that more than 20 people are still missing while the casualties are nearing the same number and injuries have topped 33. From what we can tell, the next attack was shortly thereafter in Timberholde. Every city entrance was reportedly blown apart and virtually sealing the city inside of itself. This also included grave damage to the newest addition, the train. The station and surrounding area have been destroyed beyond repair. Casualties have reached 67, more than 40 have been injured and another 17 are still missing. Another attack mere hours after came in the form of another explosion. This one took out the entirety of the bridge from the mainland to Curet Insula. No fatalities have been reported, but it has only been a few hours since receiving the news and searches are still in effect. I wish I could say that I have reported everything. I wish I could tell you great people that we can recover from this. I wish I had the magic words…something to give you all hope. Unfortunately, with this last piece of information I have to bear, I cannot fathom how we are to unite. At just past 8 last night, Eleutheria and our royal family was attacked. According to the guards and surviving staff, nothing was out of the ordinary until they heard Hilda scream and then what sounded like a man being tortured. This man is assumed to be King Alfred. Apparently, shortly after, a fire broke out, causing many of the people who also lived in the castle to flee with little to nothing to the second story of the city. Still, 13 are missing and feared dead. The royal family was never located, even after the fire was quelled. There was but a note left at the scene. This note had a confession and confessions to more crimes that were, unfortunately, confirmed this morning. The entire Fortescue bloodline has been murdered. Sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandfathers and grandmothers… all of the bloodline has been taken from Simul in the most horrid of ways. I cannot even begin to write what information I have been given. Simul…please. PLEASE be safe. I know we are now living in a very uncertain time. I have faith that we will be okay. Please, look after yourselves, your families, your neighbors and your cities. This is Flynn, signing off. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

Every year, tens of thousands of Similuams look forward to one of our most coveted holidays: Lux Amare. This year, something awful has happened. Various witnesses have come forth to describe a horrid scene of assailants murdering the Cor. Not just killing them, but petrifying them, only halfway. Many of the statements we cannot repeat here at Coexisting Connections. We do have a photo submitted by a long time listener and an unfortunate witness to the events. Please, look on only if you must. This image contains a spoiler Reveal Image According to stories, a darkly shrouded individual ran through the forest that is Tranquillum, stopping at every Cor they saw, and used some sort of magical fog emit from their fingers. Once this 'fog' reached the innocent animals, they were...'frozen'. This can only be described as a 'half attempt at turning them into stone'. Now, we have no proof that all of these instances are connected in any way, but by the sounds of some of the statements, it may just be possible. Please folks, stay safe out there. • Astu Aether | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Astu Aether Astu Aether Year 10,011 Month of Ver The city fell out of the sky, almost literally. Calls for aide were sent out in a hurry. The people of Astu Aether had something wrong with them. What was it, you ask? Little did the people of Simul know, that the floating city sitting above the southern waters was infested with a strange and nearly terrifyingly....hilarious problem. In a desperate and rushed decision, the people of Astu Aether decided to move their last remaining city to a whole new realm, hoping to find a solution to their problem. They had no idea where it would end up, but luckily for them, they came to the right place. With the King's blessing, Astu Aether's plea for help has been spread across the land. With the recent attacks, The leader of Astu Aether has been requested to move the city itself to a safe location. With the help of the mages sent by the King, Astu Aether has successfully relocated their city to the Western Coast. Year 10,011 Month of Dissilio The giggle plague has been eradicated! The king personally thanks all who contributed to killing the little fuzz balls from the land. All are safe and welcome to come by Astu Aether! BREAKING NEWS (Taken from Simul Quarterly) Ver 21st, 10,017 It does not bring any ounce of joy to report on this story today, Simul. We just got word that there was yet ANOTHER random attack on our great kingdom. Astu Aether's portal tree, that sits on the southern coast of Simul, that also allows for easier travel to the floating city, has been the victim of arson. From what information we have gathered and statements provided by witnesses, it seems that a singular man, heavily robed in dark clothing had come in the night to set the bottom of the tree on fire. Some sort of fluid had been used which is what caused most of the damage. The only good news is that there WERE witnesses that were able to extinguish the flames before the tree was unsalvageable. The city leader of Astu Aether has put out a statement regarding the issue: "My people and my city are my first priority when it comes to safety. For the foreseeable future, we will be positioning guards at the tree that will take personal information for all those coming and going from Astu Aether. Please have a little patience. We are doing this for the safety of everyone." We here at Coexisting Connections send our best. This is Flynn, signing off. Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice." Library of Shit Events and Holidays Crustacean Infestation Crustacean Infestation Calor 11th-16th: Read more here 6/28 - 7/2 Simul: A kingdom of peace and coexisting. A kingdom where very few large problems occur. A kingdom where hundreds of thousands call home. But...it has one little problem. And by little problem, I mean it has a yearly issue. Simul gets crabs. TONS of crabs. Big crabs, small crabs, pinchy and mean crabs. Now, you might be asking, why are crabs during the summer a problem? Because it is not just some crabs. There are SO MANY CRABS. They take over the east and west coasts. They eat up the wildlife including, but not limited to, plants, trees, rodents, birds, crops, and even larger communities of them have been known to take out whole livestock. What does Simul do about this little yearly problem? It sends its best warriors to hunt them, of course! An extra to the hunt? You get to keep your kills. Feed your friends and family. Feed the poor. Feed everyone! And it's crab meat...so it's worth its weight in gold. Even better? Every year, the person who brings home the largest and juiciest amounts of crab gets bragging rights and the title of "Crab Commando" until they are dethroned (Meaning that if someone gets more meat in weight, they will hand the title over). Rules: 📌Each individual character can only be in one channel. Either East or West coast 📌You can have as many characters as you like join the event, but you must keep track of each of their numbers. 📌You can post every 30 minutes (Must have 30 minutes between posts) 📌There is no post minimum (You can literally just roll every time) 📌You must roll in the channel you select How to Roll: 📌You roll 1d20 for each character 📌That number is how many pounds the crab caught weighs 📌The total will be added at the end. The most weight wins! Crabs: (This is not actually what they look like. I mean, kinda, but minus the tail and horns. Those are because they are evil little bastards) 2025 Winner Muse's Stacy takes the winner's place this year with a score of 535 Honorable Mention Tiramisu's Kamal with a whopping 469 pounds of crab Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

  • Wingston | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Wingston Wingston Messis 2, 10,017 Read more in BREAKING NEWS Laughter and merriment could be heard throughout the kingdom as the farmers were once again celebrating another good harvest. Food and drink flowed freely as the unsuspecting people of Simul were watched from the shadows. Hooded figures lurked just outside of anyone's sight, their eyes set on one target; the very food the farmers were celebrating . Not just what they had harvested already, but all of their fields. Every piece of wheat, bean, or ear of corn was doomed. The robed figures kept watch just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They waited until almost everyone had gone to sleep. Those that remained in the fields or the barns were too drunk to notice anything. Even if they had been sober, they would not be able to stop what was about to happen. Once the robed figures felt it was time to move, they did . Flames roared to life around them to burn every last plant to cinders. Nothing was spared. Nothing. Anything and everything that stood in their way burned with the precious crops. Enough food for dozens of families turned to ash before anyone realized what was going on. The smell of smoke and the sound of roaring flames pulled everyone from their beds. Horror and panic hit everyone who witnessed it. Men, women and children all did what they could to put out the flames...though, their efforts were in vain. The heat from the fires evaporated the water before it could even reach the flames. Screams for water...screams for help. Many could even be heard calling out to the mages they had shunned. Asking... no, begging for help. Those that could have helped cowered behind their locked doors, fearful of what could happen if they rendered aide. Great numbers of magical and non-human beings fled from their homes as registrations became more common, alongside the growing racism against them, leaving the human communities more vulnerable than they had ever dreamed. This was not an isolated incident; farms across the kingdom were burned. Dry Gulch, SkyHaven, Subury, Wingston, Timberholde, Ferax Villum, and even Concordia were hit alongside multiple other villages and farming areas. It was almost the same story at every farm that was burning: Those that could have helped refused. A small few cities managed to save food. Their mages were quick to respond and quell as many of the fires as they could. However, even with their quick actions, much of their food was destroyed. What could be salvaged was inventoried and stored in the safest places people could find. Alongside the massive loss to the winter food supply, hundreds of people and livestock were also slain. The countless lives and resources that were lost in the night left all that witnessed the horrors of it choking on the smoke and ash of their dreams . What witnesses hoped was a sick nightmare was revealed to be anything but. The nightmare was real and no one knew what to do. Cries of sorrow and a strange letter filled the air. The letter was simply written on paper bearing the Guardian's seal; “We of the CONGREGATION will not be silent. If the King won't hear our cries, we will make him. We will starve him out if we have to, along with anyone else who would follow his laws.” The news of all the fires across the kingdom had the streets of Eleutheria humming with hectic whispers or outright blame against magic users. Conspiracy theories about what happened spread like wildfire; The letters from the “CONGREGATION”, and the Guardians had everyone terrified. They were all looking to Ferren for answers. No word came for hours, confirming for the people that what happened was far worse than before. Eventually, Ferren emerged from the castle to stand on the highest balcony of the capitol. His normally charismatic voice was filled with sadness as it echoed through the heart of Simul. Even his appearance suggested he had not slept. His clothes were a rumbled mess and his hair was far from tamed. Redness surrounded his eyes from intense crying. “It is with a heavy heart that I address you all in such a manner. I am sure you have all heard the news by now. Our kingdom…has suffered a tremendous loss. The crops that normally sustain us through the long winter have been destroyed. Burned to a crisp alongside the brave men and women who tried to stop the inferno. Their sacrifice ensured that everyone could gather and defeat our oldest of foes. The cause of the fires is still unknown but we believe it to be a series of horrible accidents. I would love nothing more than to believe that, but with witnesses coming forward, it has been apparent that the attacks were perpetrated by magic users. The best people we have are looking to find the cause of what caused this tragedy…” Ferren's voice cracked as more mist threatened to fall from his eyes, the acting king haphazardly wiped away the tears that never fell as he tried to compose himself. He kept his face hidden for a few minutes in silence before he moved his hands to speak again. “We can move on from this tragedy as one but I need the help of every Simulian. We do not have enough food for the winter. As of today, all food is to be brought here to Eleutheria so it can be rationed out appropriately. All are welcome to come and get your daily meals. Those of you traveling great distances will be allowed to get enough for a few days. Every month, we will be shipping out ration bundles to each city and community to sustain. All magical beings wanting their rations are required to provide their registrations. This is to keep us all safe and uphold peace of mind. We have also decided to place a special barrier around the capitol to help further protect the food we will all need to survive. It kills me to have to do this to you all. Rationing will leave us all hungry as we try our best to make it through these trying times. I encourage everyone to do what they can to provide for their families. If you have extra, please give it to those that need it more than you. Hunters, share your bounties as you get them. Farmers that have lost their crops should reach out to us. We can provide seed to hopefully grow something before the cold seasons hit. We will make it through and come out better for it. May the Gods bless us and help usher us through the trials they felt, we as a people, needed to endure.” "If you have any questions relating to the recent events, any citizen of Simul is welcome to write to me directly. You may also tag Malum Distantia via Simul Social. Please Simul, love thy neighbor as they were your own family. We will succeed." OOC Note: Wingston, as a whole, was very obliged to follow these orders. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

  • Temples of Unity | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Temples of Unity Temples of Unity Year 10,013 In the year 10,013, the month of Dissilio, something erupted. Quite literally. During the season of warming, there were more quakes. This time, much smaller on scale. However, strong enough to cause some damage. The Temples of Unity, the center of Timberholde, the northern outskirts of Oak Silva, directly above the entrance of Dun'Lorn, and the center of Tranquillum were all affected at the very same moment. In the middle of each quake, a split in the earth appeared. Almost like large craters, these holes were deep and....pulsated. Those who bore witness tell the tale of the trees. In less than an hour, the massive trees erupt from the craters created. Fully furred with leaves and tough bark. Those who heard the stories knew what had happened. The Tree had returned five-fold. The stories began to spread again. Of the time of the war between brothers. Between good and evil of the original Tree. Jayden had struck the tree down. The large and beautiful piece erupting into thousands of pieces. However, the story goes, that some innocent lives witnessed the attack and took it upon themselves to take the only salvageable pieces of the Tree and bury them across the land. What people did not know was that these were no stories nor myths nor rumors. It had happened. And now...the Tree had returned. After the bursting of the Tree of Life back into the land, many wondered if Simul would finally find peace again. Unfortunately for them, and thanks to a bad bedtime story, the great kingdom would not be so lucky. Everyone knew the moment the first woman appeared. Out of portals surrounding the island came demons and dragons alike. If that wasn't enough, another woman appeared and began to chant and use her own blood to write runes along the base of the Tree's barrier. If it were not for a group of random strangers coming to the aide of the island, The Tree of Life may have been destroyed right then and there. After a lengthy battle between protectors and aggressors, the Tree was saved, as well as lives. Still, the destruction was enough for King Alfred to ask the citizens of his great kingdom to send more aide and rebuild. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

Wingston This little village is located off the coast of Chester Lake. Close to the capitol of our fair kingdom, Eleutheria, Wingston is usually a short escape from the hustle and bustle of the large castle in the middle of the lake. Starting as mostly a fishing settlement, Wingston has developed into something a little bigger. Cabins and small homes line the water, and it supports the boats to and from Eleutheria. Farms have started cropping up around its edges and a few different businesses have developed over time to bring in some more revenue. Though the baker, Berlinda, does put things without berries in it on the counter to please the masses… Much to her dismay. Bloody Mary's A butcher’s shop run by a woman named Mary, nicknamed Bloody Mary by the townsfolk. Most people coming in from out of town assume it’s because of the blood that’s constantly on her apron, but rumor among the villagers is that she’s secretly a demon who appears in the mirrors of people who chant her name three times. This is presumably untrue and nothing more than the result of the boredom that comes with living in a small place like this… Or is it? Either way, her cuts are very fine and the meat is guaranteed quality! Is It Tea Time Already? When it’s time for tea, then this is the place to go, even if you’re not from Wingston. Famed for its incredible variety of teas, the shop owner even managing to scrounge up teas from faraway continents, the tea shop is always open from twelve in the morning to twelve in the evening. The owner, Shindra, appears to never sleep. People from Eleutharia love to shop for their teas here, though the exotic stuff can be, as one might expect, pretty expensive. The Trove In the small town of Wingston, there is a partially underground library surprisingly full of books and reading nooks. It is not visited very often as people find themselves busy trying to get to Eleutheria, but it is definitely worth a drop in! The small library is run by a lovely lady named Mrs. Erikson. Family Forge The Family Forge. Where you can find decently made items at even better prices! Run for generations by the Rose family, this blacksmith has been in business since before the war. You will often walk in to see parents teaching their children. Especially little Emma Rose and her father Johnathan. Faith in Faith Wingston may be a small village and located just over the water from Elutheria, but they have a rather popular healer/midwife. Faith has grown quite the reputation among those coming off of the island. Especially those who are often sea sick. With her vast knowledge of the local flora, Faith can make just about any concoction to soothe your ailments.
