Dun'lorn

Pray to the honored ancestors for strength, for courage, and for honor! And pray to the Stone when you fall into its cold, rough embrace, that you may stand with our ancestors some day.

The dwarven Fortress city of Dun’lorn is one of strange origin and survival. When one speaks of the Dwarves that inhabit the city, only two thoughts would ever come to mind about the groundlings that dwell in the Aldermen Mountains. The first being a story of desperate survival where once a great under-empire once stood beneath the continent of Simul and how city by city, battle by battle, they lost their footholds in the undergrounds and were reduced to something almost akin to the dying grasp of a hopeless soul. The second story being told of a stalwart will to not go quietly into night, an igniting of the fighting spirit of every Dwarf, no matter where they come from being Durgar, or Mountain Dwarf, all standing side by side to defend and reclaim their lost glory. No matter which story you believe, there is to be said that each and every dwarf would die to defend their home. Whether or not one story is true over the other is up to philosophical debate amongst the children of the stone. But one thing's for certain; Every single Dwarf, no matter how tall, no matter from what noble family, no matter what peril they face... all will defend the city to their dying breath.

In the last hundred years the last Dwarven Deep Lord the honored Hortigere Cragshaper has forged an alliance with the Kingdom of Simul in a desperate attempt to save the city from starvation thus forging a vassalage with the old King of Simul which the agreement still persist to this day with ruler-ship of Riorji Cragshaper the newest Deep Lord of Dun’lorn.

Bottles of Lordak

The dwarves may not be versed highly in magic, but Korgure has found a way to bottle it. She offers many types of potions and salves, mostly for well being. Come and take a look. She might have what you need.

Fift Smarag

Dun'Lorn may be under the mountains, but that does not stop them from having some of the most tender and fresh meat that you can find in Simul. Helaic, the owner, specializes in dragon meat, believe it or not. His sons and he will hunt for them near the entrance of their fortress city and prepare them for sale. Prices are negotiable, but don't come looking for a steal.

Singuroz Stories

Velmraela's collection of books is the largest inside of Dun'Lorn. Mostly dwarven, she has the capability to have them translated just for you! There are also ancient texts on the history of Simul before the civilization went underground. Great for those studying their historical roots.

The Clumsy Crab

Down at The Clumsy Crab, Reindala or one of her beautiful dwarven bar maids will serve you with the largest of smiles. Not just ale and spirits, these ladies can cook up a mean steak!

Dwed Healrumm

She may not look like much but Nakeani is one of the most talented healers Dun'Lorn has to offer. She only has light magical abilities, but she is highly skilled with primitive measures. She has the room and the will to treat nearly twenty people at a time. Don't shy away if you need treatment!

Alkorhilal o Brukag

Don't let the young and innocent face of this dwarf fool you. Jaderina is a very old and very experienced chef and works hard to satisfy every customer that walks into her eatery. She mostly serves the best of the best of dwarven cuisine, but has been known to add some human flare.

Svot Spot

After decades of serving for the Dun'Lorn guard, Douthak decided he wanted to try something completely different. That is how Svot Spot was born. Not only is he handy with a sword, but Douthak can throw down some amazing pastries and cakes. While visiting the secluded city, don't forget to drop by and try it out!

Karaad Ord

He may be a dwarf without a beard, but Hirdren can craft with the best of them. It really is his saving grace from the constant reminder that he has no facial hair..like a man. Dwarves are known for their amazing metal work, and none within the walls of Dun'Lorn have been able to craft as well as Hidren.
