- Ale and Assholes | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Events and Holidays Ale and Assholes Ale and Assholes Begins April 29th - May 2nd (Or til someone is announced the winner) The time for Kraghumlin Dimtoe to open the doors of Dun'Lorn for all has come again! Every year, the best of the best come together for insults and ale. Those who want are all welcome to join in a different kind of battle for the season. In the spirit of opening doors and becoming friends, the dwarven people of Dun'Lorn have come up with a great way to share laughs and smiles and even some back slaps. Once inside of the arena, the party of contenders will be presented with a table that holds twenty mugs of the magical ale they refuse to share the recipe for, for each person. Now, we all know the limit is twenty, so this is where things get great! Each person will have a chance to insult the other. Come up with the greatest insults for the laughs, but roll the dice to see if you must drink. Once you reach twenty, you are done. It's how it works. The magical ale knows no bounds and WILL cause your character to pass out after twenty (Or if the bot ends the event, so, whoever has drank the most). However, this is a contest of wits and stamina. If your character can make it to twenty first, they will be declared the victor! Don't worry though, there are dwarves on standby to make sure you get to a nice comfy bed and their tonic to flush their system. Post Setup: 📌Your character's insult to anyone else at the table 📌Roll 1d20 📌If your number is 5 or below, your character(s) does not drink 📌If your number is 6 or above, your character takes a drink 📌No character minimum for posts 📌You can post every hour (Drop in Drop out) The character that wins will have their last insult posted in Hall of Fame and will gain the custom role title of "Ascended Asshole". The winner of the year previous should (optional) make a speech before handing off the crown (The title will be taken from them and put onto the new winner)! The winner will also receive the MUG OF POWER. The mug will fill with the famous Dun'Lorn ale whenever the user chooses. This item is breakable, but soulbound (Meaning the winner is the only one who can cause it to fill). - Give us honor!...and ale. | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Archived/Retired Give us honor!...and ale. Give us honor!...and ale. Dun Lorn has opened it's doors during this time of atonement and end of the year celebrations. Within the walls of the heavily guarded city, deep inside of the mountain, the famous Kraghumlin Dimtoe has invited those from all across the land to challenge his title of "Drunken Saint". Anyone who can last and drink the least will win the title of "Drunken Saint-2019", have their last post displayed in Hall of Fame, and be gifted an unbreakable dwarven stein that will fill with ale whenever the user chooses. Keep in mind, this is no ordinary drinking contest. A special blend has been prepared by the highest mages the dwarven city has to offer. Not a single person has ever been able to break the championship record of 50 drinks....not even the ghostly spirits themselves. Please take heed as this may be your biggest hangover yet! Rules: Everyone will have a drinking tolerance of 50 drinks. Once you reach 50 or more, you will no longer be in the contest. Please play this appropriately. There is no post minimum. However, posts add to the humor of having your character drunk as hell! We will be using a "!roll 6" command. This is a die that the characters will be using to determine how many drinks they must consume. We will be posting in an order that will be determined beforehand. We will ping everyone who is participating before the assigned staff member posts for Kraghumlin Dimtoe, as he will also be participating. If you would like out of the contest, please type a post of your character leaving and let the staff member know in RP Discussion with a ping. We will be giving this three days to finish. Whoever has consumed the least amount of alcohol by the end of the three days will be crowned the winner. (However, if you do not post and hold up the line, we will skip and assume you are no longer participating.) Please ping the next person in line so they know to roll their die. Post Structure: Roll your 6 sided die. Post (or not) your character drinking. Staff will record the amount of drinks. Ping next person in line. Super simple! And most of all, HAVE FUN! In order to participate, please react to this announcement in the event channel. We will be starting this event as of 12/4-12/7. - Arcanus Aecor | Kingdom of Simul
Arcanus Aecor Long ago, when Simul was yet to become a kingdom, there was a city hidden in the depths of the ocean. The people, unable to breathe air, stayed in their watery home, hoping to find a way to come to the surface and colonize. Thousands of years passed with no progress until the day of the earth quake. The portal they had been working on for so long sunk into the abyss... Until recently. A new quake of destruction was anything but, leading to the portal the people had completed to resurfaced on the southern coast. Passing through allows the people to breathe air or breathe water, depending on the direction. Arcanus Aecor is home to many water dwelling species and humanoids, so be prepared to witness gills galore! The portal sits on the southern coast, and upon entering, will transport you to a wondrous city many miles out into the ocean. Year Incorporated: 102 Population: Approximately 10,000 Human: 50% Elven: 22% Dwarven: 1% Other: 27% Magically Inclined: Approximately 20% Updates Seawise Down at Seawise, Ervin will serve you with a smile. His specialties are mostly sweets, but he can make a mean prime rib. Nothing is off the menu here with the exception of humanoids. That kind of request will gain you a lifetime ban. Don't be weird. The only one allowed to be weird is Ervin. The restaurant itself is not submerged, allowing for the food to not be soggy. Ore Else Ever seen a dragon swim? Evyt is your classic dragon born, yet, she chooses to live inside of the water city. With daily doses of their underwater potions, she has yet to leave the city since migrating. With special skills and a little magic, she is the only blacksmith within Arcanus Aecor. She can smelt just about any melee weapon one can think of and even imbue it with an element of fire. The Boiling Sea Toward the center of the city, you will find the best spot for rest and relaxation. Well...and booze too. Even the owner, Kai, likes to partake. Being a water sprite in a human sized body has made him forget that alcohol is not friendly to his kind. As long as you can get him off the counter, you will be served some of the best drinks of your life. The Hungry Duck Looking for some amazing seafood cuts? Or even just regular farm meats? Drake has you covered! A family friendly merman who knows his food. From salmon to juicy beef, you can find just the right meat for your dish. Codex The largest library in the city is run by one particular elf. One will never see him outside of his books upon books, but can easily find him with a nose deep into a romantic novel. Vatroca is a curious boy, but a shut in none the less. He welcomes all, old and young, to view his precious collection. Though his largest section has to do with the romances, he has also collected many other types of books. Just gotta look to see if he has what you need! No, the library is not full of water. The building itself is enchanted to protect the books! The Torpedough Yet another shop inside of Arcanus Aecor that is enchanted to be without water. The Torpedough offers the most delicious of baked goods in the city. The owner Flower loves sweet things in particular. Her specialty: A sweet roll filled with whipped cream and topped with sliced strawberries. Spellunking The largest potion shop inside of the water barren city is named Spellunking. A play on words and a tell of the owner, Lucia. She is extremely helpful and can help you find that special potion or salve needed for your travels! Menu Here Dr. Jael Come down to Doctor Jael to heal your greatest ailments! A water spirit given a human body, Jael has always been one for the healing practices. After gaining his human like body, he built himself a lovely home where he offers many healing ways. Magical, potions, elixers and even some massages for those rough patches.

Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Lake Torra Year 10.000 to Present There is a giant worm. Though he resides in Sterilis, there is a mention of him in Lake Torra. Every month, this long desert worm burrows his way from the desert to Lake Torra to drink. Then burrow back. This, of course, leaves quite a hole near a grouping of boulders. If one were to follow, they would find themselves under Sterilis. Keep in mind, the sand collapses behind him, so that is as far as you would get. - Oh fuck, that's not Timberholde... | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Oh fuck, that's not Timberholde... Event dates: 4/14-4/18 "Oh, how I have looked forward to this day." Timothy was not a man that looked forward to much. He had once been excited for his first anniversary. He had also had experienced happiness at the thought of becoming a father. This had to top those, and then some. Not because he didn't care about his memories. But because mayhem had replaced happiness in his mind. He floated above the outskirts of his target, just out of reach of the impending event he was about to produce. In perfect alignment in order to view the massive city of Detroit crush the equally large city of Timberholde. A dark shadow, without so much as a chip on his shoulder, came just a bit closer. He was waiting for something. That something did not take long. The moment he heard the first scream, he knew it was time. Finally...he would be rid of two headaches. The city came down from its mile high position with enough force to rock the entire continent of Simul. Not a single soul would not be aware of something happening. To the furthest, perhaps an earthquake? To the closest...well...the last thing through their minds could have easily been a brick. Along with...tens of thousands of other decimated brains. There was no warning. There was no explanation. There was not even a loud evil laugh that echoed after the dust settled. And he didn't stay long enough to hear the gurgling, struggled breath of the closest fallen innocent. He had made his point. His work was done... for now. With the city of Detroit literally crushing Timberholde beneath its mass, the King of Simul has called for aide from every corner of this great land. Time is of the essence. Before the barriers collapse, the King has asked for any and every able bodied person to flock to Timberholde to rescue those still trapped beneath. This is a search and rescue. Rules: ~You may post once every half hour. ~There is no character limit for your posts. (An intro post is mandatory) ~You can play as many characters as you wish ~You must roll three times (1d10) in bot-spam for your "Rescue Numbers" ~This number is the number you are looking for when you post in Timberholde ~You can roll once every half hour (Label each roll in the channel for what character it is for if you are bringing more than one) ~If you hit your Rescue Number, you have rescued one survivor trapped inside of the city ~Please keep track of your points (Moderators may recount) The three people who rescue the most survivors will be offered the following: ~A home inside of Timberholde (Modest size, after rebuilding) ~An unbreakable item (One of their already owned items becoming unbreakable at staff's discretion) ~A custom role title of "Hero of the Century-2021" ~Their choice of post entered into the hall-of-fame ~Bragging rights for being a bad ass Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update Views Back to Top
- Skyhaven | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Skyhaven In the year of 10,001, month of Aestus, a massive tragedy struck the Kingdom of Simul. Many years ago, the demon that had destroyed Wish Well had continued its path of destruction to anything surrounding. The closest city was next on its list. SkyHaven. Before the sun could peek over the mountains and warm the windows of homes, SkyHaven was hit with what could only be described as...a plague of destruction. It began to destroy anything in its wake. Homes. Shops. People....Anything it could sink its power into was immediately obliterated. ...That was when the people took action. Grabbing whatever weapons they could, and preparing their spells, they created a wall that the singular demon could not break through on its own. In a bright display of agony, the demon failed. But not before the destruction had already taken hold. It had successfully taken out nearly half of the city. Still, not nearly enough for the people to give up. The demon soon disappeared, leaving SkyHaven to only tell the tales of what they think happened and to rebuild their homes. Messis 2, 10,017 Read more in BREAKING NEWS Laughter and merriment could be heard throughout the kingdom as the farmers were once again celebrating another good harvest. Food and drink flowed freely as the unsuspecting people of Simul were watched from the shadows. Hooded figures lurked just outside of anyone's sight, their eyes set on one target; the very food the farmers were celebrating . Not just what they had harvested already, but all of their fields. Every piece of wheat, bean, or ear of corn was doomed. The robed figures kept watch just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They waited until almost everyone had gone to sleep. Those that remained in the fields or the barns were too drunk to notice anything. Even if they had been sober, they would not be able to stop what was about to happen. Once the robed figures felt it was time to move, they did . Flames roared to life around them to burn every last plant to cinders. Nothing was spared. Nothing. Anything and everything that stood in their way burned with the precious crops. Enough food for dozens of families turned to ash before anyone realized what was going on. The smell of smoke and the sound of roaring flames pulled everyone from their beds. Horror and panic hit everyone who witnessed it. Men, women and children all did what they could to put out the flames...though, their efforts were in vain. The heat from the fires evaporated the water before it could even reach the flames. Screams for water...screams for help. Many could even be heard calling out to the mages they had shunned. Asking... no, begging for help. Those that could have helped cowered behind their locked doors, fearful of what could happen if they rendered aide. Great numbers of magical and non-human beings fled from their homes as registrations became more common, alongside the growing racism against them, leaving the human communities more vulnerable than they had ever dreamed. This was not an isolated incident; farms across the kingdom were burned. Dry Gulch, SkyHaven, Subury, Wingston, Timberholde, Ferax Villum, and even Concordia were hit alongside multiple other villages and farming areas. It was almost the same story at every farm that was burning: Those that could have helped refused. A small few cities managed to save food. Their mages were quick to respond and quell as many of the fires as they could. However, even with their quick actions, much of their food was destroyed. What could be salvaged was inventoried and stored in the safest places people could find. Alongside the massive loss to the winter food supply, hundreds of people and livestock were also slain. The countless lives and resources that were lost in the night left all that witnessed the horrors of it choking on the smoke and ash of their dreams . What witnesses hoped was a sick nightmare was revealed to be anything but. The nightmare was real and no one knew what to do. Cries of sorrow and a strange letter filled the air. The letter was simply written on paper bearing the Guardian's seal; “We of the CONGREGATION will not be silent. If the King won't hear our cries, we will make him. We will starve him out if we have to, along with anyone else who would follow his laws.” The news of all the fires across the kingdom had the streets of Eleutheria humming with hectic whispers or outright blame against magic users. Conspiracy theories about what happened spread like wildfire; The letters from the “CONGREGATION”, and the Guardians had everyone terrified. They were all looking to Ferren for answers. No word came for hours, confirming for the people that what happened was far worse than before. Eventually, Ferren emerged from the castle to stand on the highest balcony of the capitol. His normally charismatic voice was filled with sadness as it echoed through the heart of Simul. Even his appearance suggested he had not slept. His clothes were a rumbled mess and his hair was far from tamed. Redness surrounded his eyes from intense crying. “It is with a heavy heart that I address you all in such a manner. I am sure you have all heard the news by now. Our kingdom…has suffered a tremendous loss. The crops that normally sustain us through the long winter have been destroyed. Burned to a crisp alongside the brave men and women who tried to stop the inferno. Their sacrifice ensured that everyone could gather and defeat our oldest of foes. The cause of the fires is still unknown but we believe it to be a series of horrible accidents. I would love nothing more than to believe that, but with witnesses coming forward, it has been apparent that the attacks were perpetrated by magic users. The best people we have are looking to find the cause of what caused this tragedy…” Ferren's voice cracked as more mist threatened to fall from his eyes, the acting king haphazardly wiped away the tears that never fell as he tried to compose himself. He kept his face hidden for a few minutes in silence before he moved his hands to speak again. “We can move on from this tragedy as one but I need the help of every Simulian. We do not have enough food for the winter. As of today, all food is to be brought here to Eleutheria so it can be rationed out appropriately. All are welcome to come and get your daily meals. Those of you traveling great distances will be allowed to get enough for a few days. Every month, we will be shipping out ration bundles to each city and community to sustain. All magical beings wanting their rations are required to provide their registrations. This is to keep us all safe and uphold peace of mind. We have also decided to place a special barrier around the capitol to help further protect the food we will all need to survive. It kills me to have to do this to you all. Rationing will leave us all hungry as we try our best to make it through these trying times. I encourage everyone to do what they can to provide for their families. If you have extra, please give it to those that need it more than you. Hunters, share your bounties as you get them. Farmers that have lost their crops should reach out to us. We can provide seed to hopefully grow something before the cold seasons hit. We will make it through and come out better for it. May the Gods bless us and help usher us through the trials they felt, we as a people, needed to endure.” "If you have any questions relating to the recent events, any citizen of Simul is welcome to write to me directly. You may also tag Malum Distantia via Simul Social. Please Simul, love thy neighbor as they were your own family. We will succeed." OOC Note: SkyHaven, as a whole, refused to follow these orders. This lead to the city being marched upon by the Siphon Mages and forced to provide 80% of their stores which were brought to Eleutheria. - Crustacean Infestation | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Crustacean Infestation Calor 11th-16th: Read more here 6/28 - 7/2 Simul: A kingdom of peace and coexisting. A kingdom where very few large problems occur. A kingdom where hundreds of thousands call home. But...it has one little problem. And by little problem, I mean it has a yearly issue. Simul gets crabs. TONS of crabs. Big crabs, small crabs, pinchy and mean crabs. Now, you might be asking, why are crabs during the summer a problem? Because it is not just some crabs. There are SO MANY CRABS. They take over the east and west coasts. They eat up the wildlife including, but not limited to, plants, trees, rodents, birds, crops, and even larger communities of them have been known to take out whole livestock. What does Simul do about this little yearly problem? It sends its best warriors to hunt them, of course! An extra to the hunt? You get to keep your kills. Feed your friends and family. Feed the poor. Feed everyone! And it's crab meat...so it's worth its weight in gold. Even better? Every year, the person who brings home the largest and juiciest amounts of crab gets bragging rights and the title of "Crab Commando" until they are dethroned (Meaning that if someone gets more meat in weight, they will hand the title over). Rules: 📌Each individual character can only be in one channel. Either East or West coast 📌You can have as many characters as you like join the event, but you must keep track of each of their numbers. 📌You can post every 30 minutes (Must have 30 minutes between posts) 📌There is no post minimum (You can literally just roll every time) 📌You must roll in the channel you select How to Roll: 📌You roll 1d20 for each character 📌That number is how many pounds the crab caught weighs 📌The total will be added at the end. The most weight wins! Crabs: (This is not actually what they look like. I mean, kinda, but minus the tail and horns. Those are because they are evil little bastards) Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update Views Back to Top
