A large earthquake shook the lands. Unfortunately for the private people living inside of Arcanus Aecor, the portal they had spent generations building was destroyed. Though, they did not seem to mind. Not having a lot of traffic from the land dwellers, the people really had no inclination to rebuild until over a thousand years later. They never finished their work due to the buried part of the portal being on the topside.
