- Ale and AssholesIn Events and Holidays·April 9, 2020Begins April 29th - Mary 2nd (Or til someone is announced the winner) The time for Kraghumlin Dimtoe to open the doors of Dun'Lorn for all has come again! Every year, the best of the best come together for insults and ale. Those who want are all welcome to join in a different kind of battle for the season. In the spirit of opening doors and becoming friends, the dwarven people of Dun'Lorn have come up with a great way to share laughs and smiles and even some back slaps. Once inside of the arena, the party of contenders will be presented with a table that holds twenty mugs of the magical ale they refuse to share the recipe for, for each person. Now, we all know the limit is twenty, so this is where things get great! Each person will have a chance to insult the other. Come up with the greatest insults for the laughs, but roll the dice to see if you must drink. Once you reach twenty, you are done. It's how it works. The magical ale knows no bounds and WILL cause your character to pass out after twenty (Or if the bot ends the event, so, whoever has drank the most). However, this is a contest of wits and stamina. If your character can make it to twenty first, they will be declared the victor! Don't worry though, there are dwarves on standby to make sure you get to a nice comfy bed and their tonic to flush their system. Created with Bing AI Post Setup: 📌Your character's insult to anyone else at the table 📌Roll 1d20 📌If your number is 5 or below, your character(s) does not drink 📌If your number is 6 or above, your character takes a drink 📌No character minimum for posts 📌You can post every hour (Drop in Drop out) Created with Bing AI The character that wins will have their last insult posted in Hall of Fame and will gain the custom role title of "Ascended Asshole". The winner of the year previous should (optional) make a speech before handing off the crown (The title will be taken from them and put onto the new winner)! The winner will also receive the MUG OF POWER. The mug will fill with the famous Dun'Lorn ale whenever the user chooses. This item is breakable, but soulbound (Meaning the winner is the only one who can cause it to fill).02115
- RulesIn Stuff and Things·February 17, 2020Thank you for considering Kingdom of Simul your roleplay home! Before we lay out the law of the land, we just wanted to say a couple of things. We know this list looks intimidating. However, we do our best to lay things out as clearly as possible, which includes things that may seem like common sense. Please keep this in mind when reading forward. From our basic lore to the cities and landscapes, everything is meant to flavor your experience rather than tie you down to specific types of scenes. Feel free to ask any questions, even if you find them “redundant” or “stupid” as some people have put it. Nothing is stupid. Your comfort in your roleplay experience is what we strive for. #rules 📌First and foremost, you are allowed to sign up for the website. The site is where members keep their character journals. No roleplaying is done on the website (for now), but you are more than welcome to make an account in order to post character journals or even use the profile page as your actual character profile submission. 📌Our custom bot has commands to easily locate loads of things! You can find a list of commands HERE. You can use these commands in the help channels, or even the welcome center! The most useful command in our arsenal for new players is the handbook command. You can type this anywhere. It will pull up an entire list, sectioned, for you to sift through like a simple handbook. 📌DO NOT DM staff to ask questions about your profile or creation or the like. If you have questions, please review our Character Creation channel or ask out in General Chat! 📌There is a 350 character minimum for posts. Not WORD requirement. CHARACTER requirement. This rule was implemented to keep scene moving and interesting. This is about three sentences. 📌We have no activity requirements, however, we do prune what appear to be dead accounts on occasion. 📌OOC drama is not okay. IC drama is highly encouraged! 📌Each city is FILLED with NPCs. These characters you can use in your roleplay! Meaning: You can play the characters for interactions in their perspective shops/clinics/homes/etc. These NPCs are not available for people to make into actual characters. They are just there to help flavor the world and give you more to work with when posting. You can play them, or you can ask someone else to play them for you. Whatever you are comfortable with. 📌IC sexual encounters are perfectly fine. If you are more comfortable leaving sex to DMs, go for it. For public scenes, please transfer your roleplay to the NSFW channels as we have minors in here. Thanks! 📌We reserve the right to ask for a heavily redacted ID for verification of your age if we suspect you are underaged. If you fail to provide, we will ban you until you can. 📌Heavily redacted means you can literally black out everything but the birthdate and the picture. You will need to take a picture of your face next to the ID. 📌We will also ask that you have a slip of paper next to the ID with your Discord username 📌Speaking of age: If your character appears underaged, has a child's mind, or otherwise gives of underaged vibes, the staff reserve the right to tell you to keep them out of NSFW sections. If you choose to argue this, we will either ban the character or you depending on severity. 📌If there is a problem, please take it up with that person or have staff moderate it. Screen shots and message IDs are the best evidence. NEVER be afraid to ask staff for help. 📌Combat style is T1. Super simple and easy. You can find the T-1 Format pinned in various channels. If the all players in a scene consent, you may use other combat styles. 📌You are allowed to use channels already in use. 📌All pictures, PFPs and statuses must be SFW. Again, we have minors in here. PG-13 is a great scale. 📌We do not accept canon characters. We DO accept face claims. If you like the way a character looks, cool. But canon characters are a no go. This means ripping a character from an anime, show, game etc. and using it. This is a case by case basis and can vary. 📌You will not be able to roleplay or use the social channels on this discord until you have an approved character. You will have access to General Chat, Character Discussion, Profile Submission. Once your profile is posted, gone over and possibly balanced out by the mods or owners, you will gain the role "Citizen" and will be able to officially roleplay and use the rest of the server and make more characters without anymore reviews or need to submit profiles. 📌That's right, once you have had one profile approved and gained entry to the server, you can bring as many characters as you want. You do not need to resubmit profiles with changes. You are can go nuts! The initial review is our gatekeeping. 📌No one's character is going to die......unless they want it to or you are written into a wall. This means: If you are having a combat scenario and there is no feasible way for your character to escape, your character will, more than likely, perish. If there is a problem that must be looked over by a member of staff, please DM one. You must abide by T1 standards. 📌You can say your character is from a small village according to the rule in Stuff to Remember found HERE . You can assume there are many villages and traveling nomads throughout Simul. Only the major locations are on the map, but there is PLENTY of space for 'assumed locations'. 📌Always ask before jumping into someone else' roleplay scene. 📌Keep OOC chatter out of the roleplay channels. 📌Restrictions for underage romance scenarios (Including characters who are underage, and players) ~~~~~1: Sexual scenes; NO ~~~~~2: No touching in privates, this goes along with number 1, STOP ~~~~~3:Grinding, panting, unnecessary moaning. Again, STOP. List of "Okay's" ~~~~~1: Touching in a light matter. (Hugging, light rubbing for comfort, ex: She'd rub his thigh, looking into his eyes, ect.) ~~~~~2: Kissing. But nothing too heavy. Panting and begging are considered a NO. ~~~~~3: Flirtatious jokes. (Not the naughty ones, too far) ~If your character IS or even LOOKS under aged (at Staff's discretion), STOP THAT SHIT. Thanks. 📌DO NOT play another person's character. 📌DM roleplay does NOT count for canon in the server when it comes to events. Events need to be seen by all, especially if these events bend lore. 📌Don't forget to thumbs up the comment below the link on discord so you can gain your first role of "Citizen!"021576
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffNovember 15, 2022The CorSubmitted by Lyanna Legend #winged #horns #tameable #hybrid Young Cor stand an average of 1 foot tall, mature at an average of 2 feet tall Cor are skinned in a soft and very short fur, pink in color, hue varies Eyes are usually unnaturally large and silver or grey in color, no pupil Mouths are small, but make it easy for them to consume their omnivorous diet Car had very small and soft keratin claws on all four appendages Small, white feathered wings do not provide flight Are usually slow, but have shown very quick movement when startled Cor will weigh about 5 pounds at max Most will reach death by the age of 22 Cor really have no specialized abilities with the exception of telepathy. This telepathy is something they do not use often, and mostly only with their handler. They can either walk on two legs or all four, but their wings are, most of the time, useless. They often waddle, but with a quickness. Cor are very stealthy, often hiding in combat or in tense situations. There have been VERY rare instances where a Cor will attempt to defend their handler. Unfortunately, Cor are soft and oblivious, making them almost too easy to capture after being tamed. Tamed Cor tend to escape their twentieth year of life to mate and return to the land in Tranquillum. Tranquillum appears to be the only place to find these creatures, unless tamed. Cor are extremely loyal to one handler, even if given as a gift during their first year.01
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffMay 8, 2023The UnicornSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend #horse #unicorn #tameable #magical #mount #telepathic Unicorns are closely related to the horse. Foals are usually around three feet in height at the head while adults can reach nearly ten feet with the exception of the horn. Speaking of, not only do unicorns vary in natural colors, but their 'corns' tend to take on a random rainbow of unnatural ones. Unicorns tend to give birth in twins, but only once per lifetime. These mystical beasts are fairly rare, but do live a healthy three hundred years given proper care. As stated before, unicorns are rare, unlike their horse cousins. These animals are friendly for the most part, but very difficult to tame and create a bond. Bonds, once made, are life long. If you choose a unicorn, be prepared for a lifelong partner. Unicorns seem to have much more stamina and brute strength compared to other, similar species. Depending on the color of their horn, these beasts can have an affinity for magical use with their horn being their 'wand'. For example: Blue horns can blast water in short bursts from their horns. Not all unicorns have magical abilities, but all have a telepathic ability with their chosen handler/bond partner. Unicorns are incredibly smart and fluent in the common tongue (hence understanding the telepathic bond).01
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffAugust 4, 2024The DinosaurSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend #dinosaur #dino #overview #lizard #scale Image created with AI Dinosaurs are some of the largest land and sea creatures known to Simul. Coming in various types, some can easily be mistaken for dragons or run-of-the-mill lizards in size by comparison. Dinosaurs lay eggs as their form of breeding. Depending on the type, they may be docile or violently feral. I will document as I find and study these very fascinating creatures. You are more likely to find texts on these animals than you are to find them roaming about the land.01
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffJanuary 4, 2024The Fairy/FaeSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend #fairy #fae #small #flight #flying #humanoid #magical Image created with AI The fair/fae type of creature is more than just a creature. For the sake of transparency, these types of creatures are also heavily written about as they are a type that is also a race Native to Simul. Fae have many different variants that I will note about later, more in depth. Most fae are equipped with a set of wings that are usually similar to flying insects. Such as butterflies, ladybugs, moths, etc. Some have wings akin to animals, small breed of course. Most faes also have an affinity to magic. Most seem to use mana. With an average lifespan of 1000 years, most child bearing fae can produce near 5 children per decade.01
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffNovember 12, 2023Crystal Crungler DragonSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend @Spook #dragon #aggressive #non-tameable #crstyal Created with Bing AI These dragons are very strange, for lack of better descriptors. None have been able to ascertain what TYPE these dragons are, only that they ARE dragons covered in a crystal. It has been studied enough that the general knowledge is that Crystal Cunglers are dragons that have some sort of genetic mutation giving them the ability to absorb and ingest various types of crystals that will eventually grow on their body in place of scales and skin. They are still capable of flight and breath attacks depending on their origin type. These dragons are also extremely difficult to kill given obvious reasons, as well as abnormally rare. None have yet to be tamed. As I haven't been able to study these dragons myself, I've had to go off of the stories gifted to me. It seems Crystal Crunglers inherited their name from a traveler long ago who was so surprised at the sight that they spewed the first thing that came to mind. It stuck. I am not even mad. Upon others' studies, these dragons are highly aggressive, have never been tamed, and are in the top 1% of rarity in its species. Their 'skin' is highly valuable, but also stupid rare in terms of harvesting. Apparently, Crystal Crunglers carcasses decay at a rapid rate, turning their flesh to dust and bone in less than 48 hours. If one can harvest the crystal from their scale before then, it can be sold for massive amounts of coin. It is said to be used for jewelry, but many say they purchase ground version for certain types of harmful potions. This seems to be more available in Vex-Mora than anywhere else.0
- Temples of UnityIn Town Updates·August 31, 2018Year 10,013 In the year 10,013, the month of Dissilio, something erupted. Quite literally. During the season of warming, there were more quakes. This time, much smaller on scale. However, strong enough to cause some damage. The Temples of Unity, the center of Timberholde, the northern outskirts of Oak Silva, directly above the entrance of Dun'Lorn, and the center of Tranquillum were all affected at the very same moment. In the middle of each quake, a split in the earth appeared. Almost like large craters, these holes were deep and....pulsated. Those who bore witness tell the tale of the trees. In less than an hour, the massive trees erupt from the craters created. Fully furred with leaves and tough bark. Those who heard the stories knew what had happened. The Tree had returned five-fold. The stories began to spread again. Of the time of the war between brothers. Between good and evil of the original Tree. Jayden had struck the tree down. The large and beautiful piece erupting into thousands of pieces. However, the story goes, that some innocent lives witnessed the attack and took it upon themselves to take the only salvageable pieces of the Tree and bury them across the land. What people did not know was that these were no stories nor myths nor rumors. It had happened. And now...the Tree had returned.01138
- Questionable Items ListIn Stuff and Things·April 12, 2021This list is a reference point for the type of technology that is now part of Simul. If something is missing and you have a question, please ask us in the Suggest and Discuss or General Chat! Fulmen Spheres: These are what powers a lot of the technology inside of Simul. You can read more about them HERE. They are a 'magical replacement' for things like batteries. Cell Phones: 📌AKA Telegems: Cellular devices are not as you would think of them on a modern sense. Though some were dropped during the Timberholde Event, the people of Simul have not been able to recreate them. "Cell Phones" inside of Simul often look like thick pieces of glass that hold a similar shape of modern phones. They are made of a special type of stone mined in the mountains of Simul called Curatrix and powered by Fulmen Spheres. These pieces of "glass" are enchanted with magic that allows people to communicate with others across long distances. They are used like modern day phones, being held to the face in order to hear. Some of the higher profile communication devices can be held in the hand and will project imagery of the caller on the other end, very closely resembling holograms. This is done with some left over components from computers and tablets and cameras. Unless one is proficient and studied how it is done properly, one couldn't tell you off hand how it works. Most people just know 'it does'. Telegems are capable of a few different 'programs' which are Simul Social, Text Messaging, Photo and Video Recording. Most of these Telegems look like the image below, though it is not uncommon for them to be customized by their carriers. 📌Telegem XL: The Telegem is now even BIGGER than it was before. The camera takes higher resolution pictures and now artificers have added their own “programs” to them. None of it is super fancy; Most just add more storage, better cameras and the ability to write and store messages or notes to it. They include a special “quill” that you can use to hand write everything if you want to. A select few XL’s are made with the ability to swap out memory crystals that they use for storage just in case the original one becomes full. A couple examples have been seen of these Telegems printing out pictures they have just taken. Vehicles (Cars, Trucks, Vans, Semis, Motorcycles) Vehicles that were dropped into Simul during the Timberholde event were heavily damaged. Some of the survivors of the event were able to educate the Citizens of Simul on how they used to work and operate. Since Simul does not have crude oil and gasoline refined enough for these vehicles, most of the surviving vehicles were taken apart and made into something less useful. Expect to see steam and magic powered vehicles throughout the kingdom. These are open for interpretation minus a few things. It is extremely rare to have a vehicle that can travel more than 70 mph. The steam powered vehicles are powered by, you guessed it, steam. With engines made to heat water (Whether magically or mechanically). Magical vehicles tend to have runes or the like that offer power to the wheels. Magical vehicles work like modern day batteries, needing recharging after so long. Vehicles/Vessels (Flying or Ships) Boats are really nothing new to Simul, but boat engines are. Much like the vehicles listed above, they will run on steam or magic or a combination of the two. Aircrafts were not salvageable, and were taken apart after the Timberholde incident to use in the building of other types of vehicles. However, some flying ships were produced from these items. Most flying ships are small, able to hold a crew of no more than 30, though there have been rare occasions of larger flying ships. These are not a product of what dropped into the kingdom, but more of something that has evolved over time. Computers (Laptops and Desktops and Tablets) Electricity is in abundance in Simul as magical doses. However, it is not refined enough to run computers correctly. Even with the survivors of the Timberholde incident explaining to the best of their knowledge on how these items operated before, many of the computers were fried while Simulians tried to perfect their own output in order to make them work. The salvageable computers were swiftly taken apart and used for advancements in other aspects of Simul life, such as, but not limited to, light bulbs, 'Telegems' (as listed above), mechanical parts of vehicles (as listed above), and cameras. Cameras have become quite common among the people of Simul. With the opportunity to take still images and keep them, Simulians jumped on the bandwagon. Many shops frequently owned by alchemists and tinkerers and mages cropped up offering the sale of these small devices. They are often powered by small stone runes that need recharging by some sort of spell or electrical shock to continue to produce pictures. Some of these cameras can also self print the pictures taken onto paper. Other low end versions would require the device to be taken to one of the shops it was procured at in order for the owners and operators to extract and print the pictures for the customer. Home Appliances (Refrigerators, Ovens/Stoves, Microwaves, Vacuums, Carpet Cleaners, Small appliances such as coffee makers, toasters, ect) Most appliances that were left from the fall of Detroit were destroyed and/or rendered useless. With Simul's lack of an electricity system, the items were found to be useless anyway. Most appliances were divided and taken apart in order to use components to power other things such as vehicles, aircrafts and fuel tinkerers' desires. People can easily find small items here and there at various merchants throughout Simul. Most components have no use alone, but could be useful for an inventor type. Some more primitive versions of these types of items have become common. Industrial Machines (CATs, Tractors, Combines, Lathes, anything you can imagine used for farming, industrial, and etc) As with most other types of vehicles, these, though very rare to find in a prison city, were swiftly taken apart and used for other vehicles that Simulians could actually put together and use. One would not be able to find one whole. However, as some smaller appliances, more primitive versions of these have been put together and have become commonly bought and sold. Examples of types of machines allowed: 📌Drill presses 📌Saws 📌Wood lathe 📌Metal lathe 📌Sewing Machines If it's a machine that can be run on a simple electric motor and worked by hand, it could be allowed. Additions or player creations may be reviewed by staff. Solar Power Solar Power did not exist inside of Detroit before it fell. Since the realm it was stolen from had turned the major city into a prison city, it had limited luxuries, such as solar power items. Medicine Medicine was also very limited inside of the prison city. Hospital machines were non-existent. No x-rays, MRIs, Cat scans, proper hospital beds...ect. They still had many things that Simul did not have nor think of previously. Below is a list of the types of medicines and items used in medicine that Detroit had that Simul was not privvy to, but are now: 📌Tylenol 📌Advil 📌Motrin 📌Aspirin 📌Ibuprofen 📌Ace Wraps 📌Cotton Balls 📌Cotton swabs 📌Morphine 📌Up to 80% Alcohol 📌Latex and Non-Latex gloves 📌IV Bags 📌Iodine 📌Penicillin 📌Oxygen Tanks 📌Oxygen Masks 📌Ketamine 📌Saline 📌Codeine 📌Syringe 📌Hydrogen Peroxide (This list may be updated over time) Music, Music Players (CDs, Records, Tapes) CDs and records were usually the music players of choice as they were much easier to come by in Detroit. Though some had cell phones and tablets and even computers, CDs and Records were often donated to the prison city. A few of these were found in the rubble of the fallen city. Some remnants of record and CD players made it through the Timberholde Incident and still play some music. MP3s were not a thing, as the prison city did not have access to the internet. Not everyone in Simul has the same tastes as those who lived in a more modern world, but one can often come across one of the musical items if they look hard enough and have enough coin to purchase one. Televisions, Movies, Movie Players Despite being a prison, Detroit was often donated various entertainment items, including televisions and movie players. They were never afforded the luxurious kinds, such as flat screens, plasma, or high grade DvDs or Blueray. You could easily locate a tube TV or a Video Tape Player. The items were recovered, and some have found ways to give them the power they need in order to watch these movies and shows through their appropriate devices. Some Simulians have also started to come up with ways to make their own. Especially family videos to keep record or happy times. Over time, actors have become a thing as Simulians gained a love for motion picture entertainment. Firearms First things first: When it comes to "How to Roleplay" with firearms inside of Simul, we have a little write-up to help you. Since Simul is T-1, it can be a little confusing on how to do this appropriately. Structure Example Below: 📌Post1- Character fires off all rounds out of their gun. Character cannot use the firearm again in this post. 📌Post 2- Character reloads. This action can be roleplayed out or mentioned. Gun cannot be used in this post either. This also gives players a chance to add more flare to their posts. 📌Post 3- Characters can fire their round(s) again. Once they run out of ammo, repeat the process. What was once a flintlock only continent, Simul was introduced to more..modern-ish guns. Since Detroit was a prison city, they had limited access to guns, however, some did make it through. Although Simul does not have modern machining techniques, blacksmiths and inventors have succeeded in making their own advancements. The variety and quality of guns varies greatly depending on who made them. Listed below will be a grading scale for firearms as well as examples: 📌Crude - The majority of these firearms are not the greatest. They function but their bad construction impacts accuracy, along with a variety of other things. They will often break after a couple dozen shots or they may consistently jam. 📌Quality - These items are better than most and will get someone out of a tight spot. They still have their issues but by and large, they are reliable. 📌High Quality - Examples of this can be found throughout the kingdom but that high quality comes with a massive price tag. High quality firearms often have superior accuracy and handling compared to their cheaper counterparts. Firearms of this tier are the closest to modern firearms in quality. Beware, some Simulian gunsmiths boast their guns are better. 📌Custom Firearms - These can vary greatly in build quality due to the nature of these projectile weapons. Tinkerers and inventors of Simul have put their own spin on what the term firearm means. Advancements have been made in this field thanks in part to the new law of the land. 📌Lever action rifles with calibers up to 45-70. These were all single action only. All rifles ammo capacity capped at 15. This is more than normal but, hey, it's a fantasy server. This also includes bolt action rifles and possibly pump action rifles. Bolt action rifles will be capped at ten rounds, pump action rifles would be capped at six rounds. 📌Revolvers with calibers up to 44 magnum. These guns will be capped at 8 rounds for all types of revolvers. 📌All shotguns will be single shot for up to 4 barrels. These were never above 12 gauge. You can have anywhere between 12-20 gauge. Pump action or lever action shotguns capped at 5 rounds, examples of shotguns that are allowed are; The Winchester 1887 lever action shotgun, or the Winchester model 1893. There are more examples of the era but that is the kind of thing allowed. 📌We already allow revolvers and single shot pistols and firearms of that nature but we are expanding it to include lever action pistols like the volcanic repeating pistols. There could be more examples if a player has a good idea. True semi automatic pistols will never be allowed in Simul. The closest anyone will ever get is a gun that looks like a semi automatic. The weapon will be magazine fed and fired in a similar fashion but it will not eject the round. The person firing the weapon will have to unlock the slide and manually operate it back and forth to chamber the next round. 📌Magical firearms, crystal firearms, Fulmen Sphere powered weapons, etc: It is hard to determine what should and should not be allowed for these types of ranged weapons. They will be reviewed on a case by case basis. A few things to consider when making weapons like this: 📌All weapons like this need some kind of cool down period or have a need to reload. 📌If it shoots a projectile of any kind it will follow the same rules as any other ranged weapon. 📌Pistols capped at eight rounds, rifles at fifteen, shotguns at five. 📌Any changes made to these items may need to be resubmitted for approval 📌Custom ammo -Simul might not be the most technological realm but the people are resourceful. Thanks to a few years of exposure to more modern firearms, they started creating their own custom bullets. A good way to tell who made the gun is the round it fires. (All custom bullets are subject to review) 📌Air Guns - A lesser known piece of technology brought to Simul is the humble airgun. These weapons are slowly becoming popular with farmers as a cheap way to keep the pest population down. Far more industrious artificers have turned these simple items into weapons of war. One example is an airgun that can hit a target a hundred yards away and still kill the target. The shooter will only get a couple shots before reloading. Another example is an air gun that fires arrows at insane speeds. Recharging can be done magically or manually. The majority of users often use the hand pump that is provided by whoever sold it. 📌Most of the guns found and remade are crude with terrible accuracy at long distances. They are still powerful in their own right (I mean...it is a fucking gun). 📌More to come as we adjust to adding guns that fit with the lore. Unbreakable Items Nope. Everything has to have a limit. Hard limits are not always necessary, unless staff asks for one. Unbreakable items are going to be a no unless earned through an event. Generators Generator technology in Simul is still in its early stages of development and only a select few tinkerers and artificers have figured out how to make it work. These rather expensive pieces of equipment require multiple Fulmen Spheres to run properly. Once installed on a property, generators are powerful enough to run a couple dozen lights and/or small appliances. It can also be used to charge other Fulmen Spheres to run devices. These generators often come equipped with a way to recharge, negating the need to have someone come out and recharge your generator. The recharger cannot be used on other items, just the generator. Not all generators are made the same, and depending on who made it it may have things operate a little differently. Remember folks: Electricity will kill you. Magitech The field of Magitech is a growing one in Simul. With better and more stable power sources, artificers are hard at work creating the unthinkable. They are slamming together magic and technology in an attempt to make the kinds of things people only dream of. Those that are successful often end up creating one of a kind works of art. Several examples can be found scattered throughout the realm. One such artificer even brought a car from Earth back from the dead. Others have succeeded in making rudimentary limbs for injured soldiers. Magitech might sound awesome and it really is. The only downside to this type of skill set for your character is the requirement that all Magitech creations are to be submitted for approval. We wish it didn't have to be this way, however, with Magitch being such a new creation in the realm, we as staff are also learning what is acceptable and balanced. Only the Magitech itself must be put up for approval, so please highlight what it is we are looking for when submitted. The Ever Growing List of "No": These items are items that were NOT found during the Timberholde event. However, survivors of said event have been able to educate Simulians on what these things were and may or may not be made with what Simul land has to offer. Get creative winkwonk: 📌MP3 Players 📌Blue Ray Discs 📌Game Playing Systems 📌Microwaves 📌Nuclear Power (Items and etc) 📌Solar Panels 📌Cleaning Chemicals (Bleach, etc) 📌LEDs 📌Plasma, Smart TVs 📌Lasers 📌Robotic Prosthetics01304
- Revenge is a....Yeti?In Archived/Retired·November 27, 2021Nearly three years ago, the citizens of Simul fought a long and hard battle. During the winter months, and the happiest time of year, Krampus the Asshole invaded Simul. Threatening to maim and murder anyone in his path. But...he never said why? How confusing. No one ever asked. Little did the unsuspecting Simulians know...Krampus had a counterpart. His long time partner, in crime and terrorizing: Yeti Confetti. Image Credit That's right. Not only was Krampus' last name Confetti, but he had been spending the better part of three thousand years with the man of his dreams, Yeti. The two had spent centuries causing mayhem and listening to the legends of their torture. It was an amazing life indeed...until one night, Krampus did not come home. For three long years, Yeti looked for his man, without so much as a lead. Then, he found it. Somewhere, written on an old newspaper, the harrowing story of Krampus' untimely demise. That's when the fight started. Alright Sumilians! From the date 12/10 to his defeat, Yeti will be patrolling Curet Insula. Not only is it home to species such as himself, but it was the beast people who showed Yeti what had happened. With a hostile heart, Yeti is ready to avenge his lover. How to Join: ~The event starts once a member of staff has posted as Yeti in the channel for Curet Insula ~Each character you choose to bring must roll their own dice (You must label every roll as you roll it. - EleutheriaIn Town Updates·June 1, 2018Dissilio 5th, 10,017 Taken from BREAKING NEWS: It is my displeasure to bring the most current news to Simul. As much as I would love to not have to relay this information, it is my duty to keep you all informed and as safe as I can. With that, I must weave together the details of last night’s horrors. Before the sun began to descend, something else fell upon our great kingdom. From what we can gather, the first attack was in Korrig. Despite the docks already having taken a major hit, it appears the assailants decided they needed to come back to finish the job. Unfortunately, the structures are a complete loss. Even worse, it has been reported that more than 20 people are still missing while the casualties are nearing the same number and injuries have topped 33. From what we can tell, the next attack was shortly thereafter in Timberholde. Every city entrance was reportedly blown apart and virtually sealing the city inside of itself. This also included grave damage to the newest addition, the train. The station and surrounding area have been destroyed beyond repair. Casualties have reached 67, more than 40 have been injured and another 17 are still missing. Another attack mere hours after came in the form of another explosion. This one took out the entirety of the bridge from the mainland to Curet Insula. No fatalities have been reported, but it has only been a few hours since receiving the news and searches are still in effect. I wish I could say that I have reported everything. I wish I could tell you great people that we can recover from this. I wish I had the magic words…something to give you all hope. Unfortunately, with this last piece of information I have to bear, I cannot fathom how we are to unite. At just past 8 last night, Eleutheria and our royal family was attacked. According to the guards and surviving staff, nothing was out of the ordinary until they heard Hilda scream and then what sounded like a man being tortured. This man is assumed to be King Alfred. Apparently, shortly after, a fire broke out, causing many of the people who also lived in the castle to flee with little to nothing to the second story of the city. Still, 13 are missing and feared dead. The royal family was never located, even after the fire was quelled. There was but a note left at the scene. This note had a confession and confessions to more crimes that were, unfortunately, confirmed this morning. The entire Fortescue bloodline has been murdered. Sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandfathers and grandmothers… all of the bloodline has been taken from Simul in the most horrid of ways. I cannot even begin to write what information I have been given. Simul…please. PLEASE be safe. I know we are now living in a very uncertain time. I have faith that we will be okay. Please, look after yourselves, your families, your neighbors and your cities. This is Flynn, signing off.01105
