  • Soulstagne | Kingdom of Simul

Soulstagne Purgatory. The in-between. Whatever you may call it, if you have never been dead, you aren’t getting in. Some say the gates are guarded by Lucifer, or even the God of Death himself. Others just think it’s a magical field in which the living cannot enter. Death is a natural part of life...and the souls that reside within are countless. Literally. Those who can enter: Anyone who has died at any given time. Even if life breathes in their veins, if they have crossed over once, they can enter. Soulstagne is NOT a vortex of souls. Should your character have beliefs that decide where their soul arrives after life, then that is where they will end. Soulstagne is an 'in between'. If you wish to have your recently killed character stay here, that is fine. Just remember, they will be ghosts otherwise stated in the death post. If your character comes back as a spirit or ghost or some similar type, they will not be able to leave Soulstagne until resurrected. If they enter already dead or undead (With a body), they can come and go as they please. Year Incorporated: Unknown Other Stats: Unknown Updates Books to Die For A place to buy books… Books from times long past, books freshly printed. You can find the manuscripts of writers who never finished their work, the treaties of kingdoms long past, and other incredibly strange things the dead have left over the thousands of years the world has been turning. The shop is run by a skeleton named Bones who pretends to be a human, wearing the skin of… Someone else. Don’t ask, for he won’t tell. Brainless Benny's Run by a zombie who is missing his entire brain but keeps on chugging, Brainless Benny’s is a tavern that caters to the undead, though it serves the living on the occasion of that time of the year when the living and dead join hands in harmony. Many strange alcohols and foods can be found here, the kind of stuff which honestly would not be out of place in a place like Vex Mora. Ghostly Ores A blacksmithing shop run by a man named Zed, who is known for the quality of his weapons. Of course, all of his weapons are magically enchanted so as to be wield-able by the undead, meaning ghosts. However, he has expressly banned any sort of silver within the grounds of the shop, refusing to work with the material. Given many of the city’s people are weak to the substance, it’s not hard to see why. Ghoulish Delights Ghoulish Delight, one of the highest class restaurants in all of Soulstagne. It is known for serving all sorts of undead and technically not alive individuals, since… Who else would come to eat at a restaurant in Soulstagne? Everything they serve is strange. Food even a ghost can taste, meat that is discerningly similar to human flesh but the owner swears is artificial meat that only tastes like man, and blood for a drink. It also, during that time of the year when Soulstagne opens its doors to mortals, serves “normal food”. The place is run by a man named Geoff Lastover, who nobody can quite manage to figure out what type of undead they’re supposed to be. Potions for Zombies A potion shop that specializes in mixtures that affect the undead. A very popular item is corpse preservation items, since believe it or not skincare isn’t exclusive to the realm of the living. The shop is known even for producing potions that can mimic blood for vampires to consume safely. It is, in fact, run by a vampire, a man named Berlyn. Menu Here Afterlife Midwife A healer’s shop and midwife’s, the healer who runs it specializing in magic that is capable of healing the spirits and bodies of the undead. She is a very kind if quiet woman, supposedly the product of a mad scientist’s experiments who decided on a better path than such insanity. Her name is Franka, and she makes sure a patient never leaves unsatisfied. Though, one has to wonder… How does one deliver the child of an undead? The Aftermind The Aftermind is the oddly named academy that exists within the city of Soulstagne, catering exclusively to the undead. The owner of the academy, Xytharian the Lich, has retired from waging war against the living in other lands to dedicate himself to teaching those whose lives have already ended. After all, even after you’re dead it’s never too late to learn, so long as you have a mind! Biting Bites A butcher’s shop that specifically caters to the needs of the undead. Have an unrelenting hankering for human flesh? Biting Bites has you covered, though they promise the meat they provide isn’t actual human flesh. The owner of Ghoulish Delight is said to get his meat from there, so this is considered trustworthy enough… Hopefully. It is run by a big undead named Borsk.

  • Wish Well | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Wish Well Wish Well In the year of 10,001, month of Aestus, a massive tragedy struck the Kingdom of Simul. It came in the night. While the citizens of Wish Well were asleep in their homes, the demon walked into the entrance of the city. Its eyes were set upon the complete destruction and genocide of thousands of souls. They didn't see it coming. In the quiet of night, the demon trudged inward, trapping them all behind a barrier they could not see. The fire is what woke them. The fire...then the screams. Then the wide spread panic when the people figured out there was no way to leave. The terror that ensued would forever be etched into the surface of what Wish Well used to be. For, the moment that it was over and every living soul had been ripped from its host, Wish Well's land was cursed to forever be seen as it had been destroyed that night. Many have come and tried to rebuild, or just get a peek at the ruins. The moment they turn around....it goes back into place. Wish Well has been dubbed "Haunted" by the community. The demon was never found...or so the people say. Year 10,010 Month of Ignis The face of Wish Well changed. Who or what did it, no one knows. In the middle of the once beautiful city of Wish Well, where the people used to gather, there sits a fountain. What was once destroyed now appears to have been untouched. The large fountain centerpiece has not a chip off of its surface. Clear and clean water rushes from the tip, filling the neglected pool below. Surrounding it....are the graves of the thousands of people who had been living there the night of the destruction. As no travelers with a good head on their shoulders visit such a place...no one had witnessed the act. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top

  • Wish Well | Kingdom of Simul

"I saw Death. He resides in Wish Well." (High Fantasy Texted Based Roleplay. Join us on Discord today!) WishWell "I saw Death. He resides in Wish Well." "Welcome!" A word one will never hear come from the mouths of Wish Well. Never again will you be greeted by genuinely warm smiles or firm handshakes. Wish Well is no longer. It would be best to turn back now. Wish Well was the largest trading village in the kingdom. Small town mentality. No one was left behind. No one begged for money. No one was left without food. Worldwide known for hospitality and kindness to its fellow man, Wish Well was known as the pinnacle of what Simul was trying to achieve. Perfect coexisting. The night the city fell was filled with screams of terror and calls for help. All went unheard as the massacre took place. Come morning, Wish Well would be no longer. Mother Nature has since attempted to reclaim much of the terrain and buildings. She has tried, and most of the time, failed. The only sight of disturbance comes in the form of graves in the town square. Freshly dug and all marked with poorly, hand made crosses. A handful of brave souls have come and gone from the desecrated ground. Whether to try and rebuild or attempt to find items that belonged to late family members. Come morning, all would be back to the way it was the day before. Some say it is a curse upon the land. Some say it is a warning. With all of the sightings and stories, all know that the land will forever keep the image of the night of the massacre. No matter one's beliefs, all know that Wish Well should be left undisturbed. • Lake Torra | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Lake Torra Lake Torra Year 10.000 to Present There is a giant worm. Though he resides in Sterilis, there is a mention of him in Lake Torra. Every month, this long desert worm burrows his way from the desert to Lake Torra to drink. Then burrow back. This, of course, leaves quite a hole near a grouping of boulders. If one were to follow, they would find themselves under Sterilis. Keep in mind, the sand collapses behind him, so that is as far as you would get. • Astu Aether | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Astu Aether Year 10,011 Month of Ver The city fell out of the sky, almost literally. Calls for aide were sent out in a hurry. The people of Astu Aether had something wrong with them. What was it, you ask? Little did the people of Simul know, that the floating city sitting above the southern waters was infested with a strange and nearly terrifyingly....hilarious problem. In a desperate and rushed decision, the people of Astu Aether decided to move their last remaining city to a whole new realm, hoping to find a solution to their problem. They had no idea where it would end up, but luckily for them, they came to the right place. With the King's blessing, Astu Aether's plea for help has been spread across the land. With the recent attacks, The leader of Astu Aether has been requested to move the city itself to a safe location. With the help of the mages sent by the King, Astu Aether has successfully relocated their city to the Western Coast. Year 10,011 Month of Dissilio The giggle plague has been eradicated! The king personally thanks all who contributed to killing the little fuzz balls from the land. All are safe and welcome to come by Astu Aether! BREAKING NEWS (Taken from Simul Quarterly) Ver 21st, 10,017 It does not bring any ounce of joy to report on this story today, Simul. We just got word that there was yet ANOTHER random attack on our great kingdom. Astu Aether's portal tree, that sits on the southern coast of Simul, that also allows for easier travel to the floating city, has been the victim of arson. From what information we have gathered and statements provided by witnesses, it seems that a singular man, heavily robed in dark clothing had come in the night to set the bottom of the tree on fire. Some sort of fluid had been used which is what caused most of the damage. The only good news is that there WERE witnesses that were able to extinguish the flames before the tree was unsalvageable. The city leader of Astu Aether has put out a statement regarding the issue: "My people and my city are my first priority when it comes to safety. For the foreseeable future, we will be positioning guards at the tree that will take personal information for all those coming and going from Astu Aether. Please have a little patience. We are doing this for the safety of everyone." We here at Coexisting Connections send our best. This is Flynn, signing off. Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice."
