  • Simul Military | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Lore Stuff Simul Military Simul Military There are different factions within the Simulian Military and Constables ("Police"). Below, you will find each and their specialties, playability, information, etc. Elite AKA Siphon Mages The Elite faction of the Simul Military is the Royal Faction. This sect of specially trained mages usually reside within Eleutheria. A large portion of them live and work within the Black Garden Asylum, keeping the biggest of the baddies from escaping and doing more harm. The rest tend to keeping the Royal Family safe and sound. The royal military consists of many, many arch mages. Since the royal family consists of humans with no magical or supernatural abilities, they have a literal army to keep them safe. A good portion of the military stationed in the Royal Level of Eleutheria are master elementalists. Though they tend to try and keep destructive magics at bay and contained, they do have the capabilities to create very large spells. The biggest arsenal in this branch of the Simul Military are the Siphoning Arch Mages AKA The Syphons. Their job and duty is to continuously drain everything around them. Life force, energy, magic, mana, enchantments, anything considered "life" or an energy source, they are capable of draining into oblivion. Each soldier can successfully completely drain an area of all 'life' in about three seconds given concentration. They are usually accompanied by the other mages, who are purposely shielded from the drain. When accompanied, the Siphon Mage will need to take a couple more seconds to completely drain their area of a 100 foot radius. These mages are usually spread out in an area and are undecipherable from the others. They serve no other purpose than to absorb energy in all forms. A portion of these soldiers have flying mounts. A larger portion have riding mounts. The majority will be on foot to get into battle better. Play-ability: None. This is reserved for Staff only Collosus Corps The Colossus Corps do not have the same type of magic as The Elite. Most of them deal with brute strength, using most types of melee weapons in order to mow their way through things. Their armor is enchanted to take a steady beating from physical and magical damage, making them more like wrecking balls than anything else. They are highly trained for a minimum of five years in a wide array of CQC. Most are very large individuals, but their size does not seem to slow their very fluid and rapid motions. These particular soldiers are generally half-giant related, or large beings in general. They will not normally have mounts, however, those who do have mounts that can accommodate their size. Play-ability: Open. Case by Case Basis. Constable With crime in every part of the map, despite how peaceful Simul strives to be, there is a type of soldier that can reside anywhere. A Constable is Simul's version of a police force. Not only do they seek out to collect on bounties, which often is their only way of pay if they choose to be an independent Constable (Hired Constables stay within their given city and work 50 hours a week), but they keep the peace in their chosen place of residence. These can be anyone from a normal human wanting to protect his home land to a wizard looking to help the community clean up the crime. These particular soldiers will be called to aid should there be a wide scale event/war. They have been formerly trained with the rest of the Simulian army, and often go through many years of training to make sure the instructors have missed no abilities, nor any way to make abilities they already have better. The minimum training a Constable can go through is 3 years. Play-ability: Open. Case by Case Basis. Uniforms: Feel free to adjust them to your liking The Guardians The guardians are a special force/army of people who have made it their life’s mission to protect the weak. They do not enforce Simulian law like Constables or other members of the Simul Military; Their job is to protect Simul from the things everyone else ignores, the creatures or beings they fear to confront. They also research the anomalies and artifacts everyone locks away out of fear. This faction is placed in many realms over all of existence, but this is the information for Simul's Faction. Listed below will be basic information about The Guardians. Ranks, the perks each ranks get, the rules Guardians must follow, etc: 📌Anyone seeking to make their character a Guardian has to speak to Lyanna Legend and Silver Drafaylum. The profile will be reviewed in depth before a decision is made. Any questions about anything listed below can be sent to Silver Drafaylum or Lyanna Legend. 📌No matter what squad someone is placed in, they are expected to be somewhat skilled when it comes to combat. If not, they will be encouraged to train and get better. 📌Anyone wishing to join the advanced squads for each group must contact Silver Drafaylum or Lyanna Legend to get the okay, regardless of initial character approval. 📌Guardians are paid well and even earn extra cash on the side by picking up bounties or slaying evil creatures. 📌Guardians are not required to stay and patrol a certain city. They are allowed to travel as they need to or want to. They also have the option to live and operate in one location. Rules All Guardians Must Follow 📌The leaders trust their members to do what is right and be as professional as possible. With The Guardians being as wide spread as they are, it is impossible to NOT have trust. 📌No murdering innocents. A Guuardian's job is to save lives. Punishments for this will be different depending on varying factors. 📌No heinous acts against other Guardians. Punishment for this is imprisonment in Guardian Fall. Time lengths will vary depending on other factors. (Real life hours/days will be discussed at time of sentencing) 📌Dark magic and black magic are restricted skills. Those wishing to use it have to show a good degree of skill in its use and be approved by your current Sage. Unregistered use of Dark/Black magic will result in suspension from duty. 📌All Guardians have to follow Simulian Law or they will be arrested, or be subject to Simulian AND Guardian consequences. Ranks 📌Guardian Trainee - This is the lowest rank someone can be. Those of this rank will often be paired with a squad for training. This method gives Guardian-hopefuls more specialized training Guardian Trainees are only given access to the Guardians Training Hall. Even then their access to certain materials and gear is restricted. 📌Guardian - This rank is where most people will be placed. It means they are skilled enough to operate by themselves. Those with this rank will still be assigned to a squad and superiors to report to. Those with this rank get complete access to the Guardians Training hall. They also gain access to the Priestess Library. Access to certain tomes and scrolls is restricted. 📌Guardian-Captain - Once a member reaches this rank, they will be given their own squad to command. They will also be given access to materials and information lower ranks do not. Captains have access to everything the previous ranks do with a few select restrictions. They do not have access to classified materials for instance. 📌Master - This rank is given to those that have a true mastery of their given field. A candidate for the rank of Master is also required to go through a series of exams. These exams are tough, most do not pass the first time. If one can reach this rank, they are given almost complete control on how they operate. The majority of people with this rank spend a good deal of time supervising other squads. Those that do not often travel and take jobs wherever they can. Masters also get their own private labs and a research budget. They also get access to classified information and materials. Masters have almost no restrictions. The only thing Masters do not get is access to is Sage only information. 📌Sage - This is the highest rank that can be achieved in the Guardians. The only way to attain this rank is to be hand picked by the leaders. Those that reach this rank have proven themselves to be trustworthy and among the best of the best. Sages can travel freely and do almost whatever they want. The only people a Sage reports to are the Leaders. The only things Sages do not have access to are items and information the Leaders deemed to dangerous for anyone to know about beyond themselves. They also get their own private labs and portals located in the towers of Gul Academui. Only eighteen slots exist for this rank and six are taken. Sages have virtually no restrictions. 📌Leader - This is a rank that can not be obtained easily. The Guardians have gone without Leaders a few times in their history. Only the truly gifted and powerful members are chosen. Currently, the Guardians are being led by three men: Silver Drafaylum, Lysander Korvin, and Dragon SkyDancer. They have lead the Guardians for well over three hundred years. (This rank can currently not be obtained) No restrictions at all; Leaders have access to everything in the Guardians. Squads Anyone entering the Guardians can be expected to be placed in one of six branches. Each one requires different skill sets and training. Each of these branches has an advanced squad that only has one purpose. That purpose varies between each branch. 📌Non Magical Combat - This is the largest group in the Guardians. Most that get placed here specialize in regular combat. Those that are placed here are encouraged to train and sharpen their skills. This squad is lead by the Smith Sage, Barska StoneSkin. He is a no nonsense leader who expects the best out of his subordinates. The dwarf is no pushover. 📌Turtles - The Turtles are the advanced squad. Members of this squad specialize in defending against sieges and repelling armies. Even without the use of magic they are tough opponents. 📌Spell Swords - Spell Swords are the smallest squad in the Guardians. What they lack in number they make up for in skill. All members of this group excel in both physical and magical combat. They are often sent to different squads to fill multiple roles. This squad is led by the Void Sage, Falvir. He is a pretty relaxed leader, who often lets his Captains handle most things. 📌The advanced group for the Spell Swords are known as Reapers. Every member of this squad is skilled in Dark magic. Reapers specialize in fighting Dark mages and worse. Their missions are often the most dangerous. 📌Intelligence - This group is dedicated to gathering any information they can get their hands on. They often collect information about dangerous creatures. Members of this group will also collect other information that could be useful. This branch is led by Jessa Heartsong. She operates out of a bar in Vex Mora. Jessa is a high strung commander who expects everyones best at all time. She is also known as the Torture Sage. 📌The more advanced members of this branch are referred to by other Guardians as Jessa’s Songbirds. They are often sent on missions far too dangerous for normal members. 📌Mages/Wizards - All members of this group are typically skilled magic users. This is the second-largest group in the Guardians, most magic users will be placed here. Members of this group often spend their time in labs doing research some do go into the field. Those that do venture outside of the lab are tasked with seeking out and researching anything they can find on magic. This squad is lead by the Snow Sage Eldrin Frost 📌The advanced group of this branch does not really have a name, at least the current members have not thought of one. This group only has six slots. The reasons for this is the nature of their work. Everyone assigned to this squad deal with the things too dangerous, or strange to be running free. Two of the six slots are filled currently. 📌Healing/Medical Corp - This branch of the Guardians specializes in healing. All members of this branch are required to have a wide range of medical skills. The majority of members in this squad won't see combat, unless it cannot be avoided. This squad is led by the Wolf Sage Quenya Drafaylum. 📌The advanced group for this squad is known as The Mothers Hand. All members of the group specialize in extreme healing and surgeries. All members of this group are skilled surgeons able to reattach limbs. They can also perform more complex surgeries. 📌Technology Corp - This is a new branch started by Falvir Pierce. The only purpose of this group is to research and develop technology that can help the Guardians be more effective in the field. Due to the technology introduced into Simul from Detroit, the Leaders felt it good to have this squad. This branch is lead by Ryker “Falvir” Pierce. He is also known as the Void Sage. 📌Sages - This squad is named for the members that populate it. All the members of this squad have obtained the rank of Sage. Most oversee the inner workings of the Guardians while others are in the field. Those that are in the field are tasked with taking on beings or creatures too powerful for anyone else. 📌There is a special status among the Sages and that is to be a Council Member. The Sage Council are the ones who make sure the Guardians run smoothly. They also act as a judicial body for the rest of the Guardians. Current Sages on the Council Smith Sage- Barska StoneSkin Torture Sage- Jessa Heartsong Wolf Sage- Quenya Drafaylum Void Sage- Ryker “ Falvir” Pierce Snow Sage- Eldrin Frost Spirit Sage- Robyn Geist This next list will contain what each rank is given access to. It will start with the things every member has access to, before moving on to things restricted to a certain rank. Guardian Secret Locations All locations mentioned in this list are not on the map of Simul. They are protected by powerful enchantments to protect their exact locations. Other enchantments are on these buildings, those will be listed with the location below. 📌Priestess Library - Located in Concordia: This library is owned and operated by the Snow Elf Priestesses of Concordia. Only Priestesses and Guardians can see this building. This library holds all the knowledge the priestesses have collected over thousands of years. The priestesses have collected a wide range of tomes and scrolls on a wide variety of subjects. Certain writings and research are restricted to those of captain rank or higher. The library is run by Head Priestess Mirai. She is a bit of an airhead, just do not damage her books. 📌Guardian Training Hal l- Located in Concordia: Only Guardians can see this building. Here, members can train and rest if they need it. There are rooms for rent and free food. Members can also buy whatever they need for missions here. They can also get their gear repaired here or buy new. The training hall is run by Captain Pain. He is a grouchy dwarf who is often drunk. Stiill, he pushes those he trains hard in order to get the best results. 📌Heartsong Tavern - Located in Vex Mora: Everyone can visit this building. Non-Guardians will not see the secret rooms hidden by a powerful enchantment on the building. 📌Guardian Fall - Located in Black Garden Asylum: The Guardians were allowed a small section of the prison for their use. They only house their worst offenders here. Guardian Fall is run by Dragon SkyDancer. Only Guardians with a Captain rank or higher can visit this place. 📌Bank of Concordia: Location Concordia: Everyone can see this building. Non-members will not be able to see the secret rooms hidden from the public. When Guardians visit the bank they can get updates on missions, turn in bounties, and deposit their pay. This location is operated by Lysander Korvin, the Guardians' Master of Coin. 📌Immortal Seamstress - Location Eluetheria: Everyone can visit this location. Only Guardians can see how massive the building really is. The shop might look smaller than Mary's Tavern on the outside, inside is a different story. The inside of the building can easily hold over 300 people. Non Guardians will only see a shop large enough to hold maybe 40 people. This shop allows members to get new clothes and information. Members can also get clothes made for cheap. This location is owned and operated by Senka Drafaylum. Her personality changes depending on her mood, but she is a neat freak when it comes to keeping her shop clean. 📌Gul Academui - Location Concordia: All are welcome to the the school. Non Guardians won't be able to visit or even see certain parts of the castle. This is a place of learning so access to certain parts of this castle are restricted to those of Sage rank and higher. Special permissions can be given by Silver Drafaylum. Gul Academui is owned and operated by Silver Drafaylum. He is a fairly laid back person, and despite transofmring his caslte into an academy, he can be extremely picky on who he allows to use his castle. Special Permissions Non-Guardians can gain access to Guardian resources by being given certain items. Those items are a badge and a coin. Each one has its own uses, those will be listed below. 📌Sentinel Badge - This badge shows someone that they are trusted and have access to the Guardians resources. Non-members have to pay for new gear and repairs, yet, certain information on the other hand is free. They can even request aid from any Guardians nearby. There are certain cases this badge allows non-members access to Gul Academui. Those allowed are picked by Silver Drafaylum 📌Mothers Gift - Those that have one of these coins can use it to request assistance from the Guardians. This coin also gives non-members access to certain information. It gives non-Guardians access to some items and gear. These coins are not like the badges; they do not grant the owner any special privileges. They can only be used in the ways mentioned. Owners of these coins cannot see the Guardian Training Hall, the Priestess Library, or anything else protected under the same enchantment. Special permissions can be granted making this coin just like the Sentinel Badge. Those permissions are granted by Silver Drafalyum. Player Owned Characters A few of the characters mentioned in this write up are player owned. They will be listed below as well as the players that own them. Any character marked as an npc can only be used in conversation. • Simul Quarterly Issue 1 (June, 2023) | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Simul Quarterly Issue 1 (June, 2023) Simul Quarterly Issue 1 (June, 2023) Hello all Simulians! With our newfound strength and technologies, we here at Coexisting Connections would like to present our first ever Simul Quarterly! We will make it our mission to give the people local and relevant 'gossip' of the kingdom to keep all of you in the know. So....where do we start? How about this whole new technology thing? Don't get this writer wrong , what happened in Timberholde will forever scar the minds and souls of the people of Simul. Having lost so many lives and homes, the awful event will haunt us til the end of time. Yet, Simulians are resilient! Not only has our largest city been rebuilt, but the survivors are thriving among the living! We have even acquired some new faces and even more new things. As word and teachings have been spread word of mouth, Simul is now home to many new objects that are seemingly making life so much easier! Have you seen those automobiles? I, myself have attained a brand new Telegem and cannot go a day without it. Being able to communicate with friends and family so easily is just top notch! You know what else I heard? Those who aided in Timberholde were given special deeds from the King himself! I am not sure what it was, but I also heard that it was big . I wish we knew who these people were so we could give them a day or something... Needless to say, Simul seems to have recovered quite nicely. Now, for the fun stuff! Do you find yourself lonely? Looking for love, but not finding anyone of note to take home to the parents? Wishing you knew where to find Mr. Right with the deep pockets mayhaps? Look no further than our next section! Introducing: Simul's Most Eligible Bachelors!!!! Bachelor Number One: @Muse Meet Alabaster. Successful in mineral and gemology, if he is tasked with appraising such things. Able to create diamonds and various gems and other precious stones, could be rich if he found it necessary. Enjoys sunshine and likes dogs and flowers. Look at that glowing skin! Isn't he a handsome hunk of man? (After Simul Quarterly is published, Alabaster find himself having a very difficult time leaving his home without at least three different people waiting outside, oh so patiently for him to emerge, for more than three months following. With bright eyes and clasped hands, most of the requests are not for his undivided attention so much as gifts . "I'm poor!" "I broke my pendant!" "Can you really produce gems?" None of these requests are so simple, however, having the uncanny tint of lust behind every word uttered. Almost...uncomfortably. How did they even find him?) Bachelor Number Two: @Licht Introducing Regnar. Though he is a devil-possessed and widely feared for that reason, he runs a successful blacksmithing operation, though he is mostly absent if not on search for rare materials or on any other business, personal or otherwise. Something of an equivalent to a popular other-wordly game serious character type, thriving on heretical strength without concern for things like status or public opinion. If he didn't spend most of his time playing dark hero, he would most likely amass a decent fortune through his business. Tough as nails, with all the brawn to back up his sharp tongue. Hot damn, amirite? (After Simul Quarterly is published, business is booming! At first, it was slow building, but eventually, Regnar would find himself quite overrun with many orders....all in person, of course. The flirty eyes and gifts of sweets are enough to make anyone sick, but, as like most things, it would be nice at first. After eight weeks of having to play coy or outright deny the advances, he starts to find... notes nailed to his door.) Bachelor Number Three: @Lord Fantasy Xavier Alabaster Alfonse, legally demonstrable good boy. Psychically capable, dabbles in alchemy, most importantly having a cute face, scritchable ears, and an impeccable fashion sense. Perhaps even more most importantly, rich by family name. He's even a mysterious detective! Do you think he is skilled enough to make it to your heart? (After Simul Quarterly is published, Xavier feels embarrassed enough from the initial influx of affection and recognition that he starts to avoid new detective work for a while. Staying home and keeping himself as busy as possible, he soon finds himself bored and...well, lonely. So, after a few weeks, he is certain that things have blown over and he can go get himself some food to fill his cupboards. Unfortunately, the die-hard fans have been waiting just behind the corner this whole time. The sound a squeal of happiness damn near shreds his ears to bits.) Bachelor Number Four: @Jellopy Lord Virgiliu Munteanu. A nobleman from a mountainous land's old money, has since acquired a fertile plot of land in Simul. The finest hunter in the kingdom (don't look it up), able to wrest wild beasts bare-handed, terrify bears with a single stare, and lift two women on each hand, his ALPHA MALE PRESENCE cowers lesser men within his sight. All that Virgiliu's heart desires rightfully belongs to him, and whatever doesn't, he will force into submission. His generosity is without bounds. As the greatest hunter of the kingdom (don't look it up), he often shares the spoils of his unparalleled hunts in his great feasts in his old-fashioned stone castle, where he also allows weary travelers to rest. But if someone fails to show him the respect he is owed (which is very easy, he's entitled as a bitch), he will make a bloody example out of them. While he casually enjoys the delights of women and is always accepting more, Virgiliu is only truly interested in those high-value enough to stand side-by-side with him, to terrorize towns together and claim their rights as King and Queen. Are you simply looking for a night of the excesses only an ALPHA MALE can provide, or will you be the one to shroud the land in darkness with him? He looks like the total... package . (After Simul Quarterly is published, Virgiliu will find himself quite enjoying the added attention he is getting. All the ladies and all the men, flocking and flaunting all over him. Hell, he could have easily bitten and fed off of any of them...Weeks would go by and he would feel like a KING, but something just felt off. What was it? Wait a minute...where was his favorite toy, Max? After digging himself from the pile of harem he had created, Virgiliu would traverse the large home his followers had built him just outside of the newly finished Timberholde to find Max, the cat boy, bowing before a golden statue of the vampire that hadn't been there before and chanting. All it would take was a clearing of Virgiliu's throat to prompt Max to turn around, knife in hand and a wild grin on his face. "If I can't have you to myself ...") Bachelor Number Five: @Zero Kisaragi This is Zero. A "man of no consequence" by his own description. That humble façade hides an extremely capable researcher and fighter that tends to venture out in the world and collect his own research material, magical artifacts, often from the lairs of dangerous creatures. Outside of that, he governs a city far away from Simul, under a different name. He values knowledge and a willingness to expand ones knowledge more than anything else. Despite his looks, he is also extremely tough and knowledgeable himself. Aloof and rational, but kindhearted when given the chance. A traveler that could likely do with someone traveling at his side, or someone that guides him home. A face even your mother would love! (After Simul Quarterly is published, while out on a short artifact retrieval mission mostly for personal purposes, Zero hadn't even heard of this 'list' he had been mentioned in. This...was not to his fortune. As he often did, the shadow had come close to finding the item in question, some sort of locket that supposedly contained the soul of a future God, when he happened across the path of three women. Now, smiling, very beautiful ladies standing in the depths of a long abandoned village hidden among the Red Mountains was odd enough, but the way their crazy eyes were seemingly trying to not only penetrate his soul, but his clothes too, Zero was just about to 'NOPE' out when he found himself feeling rather...dizzy? Waking up in a dimly lit cabin to one of the women attempting to peel off his top....) Bachelor Number Six: @Martin (19) Charles Coaulsofur. This is the sort of man that exudes charm through no effort of his own, gathering attention from both women and men, which is enjoyed equally by him. Charles is a figurehead, well known through all of Simul for his skill in metalwork, not only by mundane, but by his natural talent for enchanting metals, from jewelry to sculptures, anyone with an enjoyment of the shiny things in life will have plenty to show off. Make no mistake though, ensnaring this exquisite piece of platinum (for not even gold can apply to how rare Charles is) is not for the faint-hearted. With well over a century of life, he avoids for fear of outliving and difficulty of relating to those with a similar lifespan. But for those who manage to win the heart of this dragon, they will be richly rewarded. A life of riches and luxury, mixed in with cozy warmth and a strong sense of adventure across Simul. Strong enough to carry you over that threshold I see! (After Simul Quarterly is published, lonely souls and dragon hunters alike decided to wage war. For what, you ask? For the heart of Charles, of course! Now, it may be flattering to have people fight for your affection...but that was not the 'heart' the hunters were after. And after a few weeks of dodging bullets and... bullets , Charles would find himself in a very peculiar situation. All he wanted to do was go the the general store and get some flour for bread...why were there people confessing their love while simultaneously throwing explosives at a long line of tied up prisoners? OH GOD.) Bachelor Number Seven: @Spook This is Joseph. Joseph is a talented mage and swordsman, seeking to decipher the literal secrets of life and death. He specializes in lightning and water magic, and favors swords and spears. Right now he's technically an advanced student at Gul Academui, undertaking solo studies while occasionally giving lectures. He isn't afraid to kill for fight for protect the ones he cares about. He's also got an unhealthy sleep schedule something of a night owl, and happens to be of a foreign draconic lineage. His main interests include exploring new branches of magic to study, and even if it's not something he can learn, he still appreciates incredible innate power natural talent in others. He has a soft spot for avian creatures having raised a griffon, and enjoys long fights walks on the beach. Hauntingly handsome, if I do say so myself! (After Simul Quarterly is published, Joe had been doing what he always did. Training and reading nd attending classes like a 'good bean'. Hey, he was trying , right? For a couple months since the article, Joe had found himself in a few situations here and there. Clingy women, envious and aroused men, and even the occasional sentient beast had come to try their hand at capturing this brooding man's heart, all for naught. Needless to say, this did not go over well with some. Unfortunately for Joe, some of the some were...very powerful. One in particular that had had her eye on the mage for quite some time. As poor Joe-bean was just walking down the hall of Gul Academui, he could feel the eyes on him. Damn, he wished Silver was there to take the heat off of him. Just as the thought passed through his mind, the sound of slamming bodies coming from behind him had Joe spinning around, just in time to witness the last victim's face hit a marble wall. Before he could help the fallen, he too was slammed against the wall, but a warm, female form pressed against his front. A finger tilted his chin to her crazy wide eyes. "What's it gonna take to make you mine?") Bachelor Number Eight: Last in our list, but certainly not least : Lord Silver Drafaylum @Silver Drafaylum Despite his high title, fairly earned in the lands of Simul, Silver is not only mysterious, but humble. How such aspects could be paired with a man this good looking? Having made a name in our kingdom by his many works in aiding, philanthropy and charity, the half wolf, half elf masterpiece is almost a household name. Recently available, Silver may not be looking for anything serious, but this writer has it on good authority that he is a sucker for dark haired beauties and hopes for a family of his own. If stability is what you want, this wolf man is a fantastic choice! I mean, come one , the man lives in a castle! Known for his good looks, the company he keeps, and the viscous way he protects his own, this Lord is easily one of the best choices for a Happily Ever After. Do you think you can tame the beast within? (After Simul Quarterly is published, Silver was hit hard . Not violently, not yet. Being the owner and 'dean' of a magical academy made his already known name rather large after the Simul Quarterly came out. For weeks , the poor man had to endure love letters, unnecessary gifts, and relentless pioneering by males and females alike. Luckily, with his particular set of skills, he could often teleport out for 'emergencies' and 'Guardian matters'. Still, this did not stop the onslaught of 'fans'. In the background, unbeknownst to anyone , a small cult within the school walls had started. Senka happened upon the secret room, but before she could warm the wolven man, the group of a dozen women cast a sealing circle around her artificial body, trapping her behind walls. Though the effort was temporary, it was just enough time to find the headmaster and explain their...'emergency'. Silver, being the protective man he is, followed the group of women down a hallways he knew they shouldn't have been. That's when he found himself lost in his own cas-Wait. This wasn't his castle. Where the hell was he? And why was his head so fuzzy....wow...they were really pretty.) Thank you for reading Simul Quarterly! This is Flynn, signing off! • Curet Insula | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Town Updates Curet Insula Curet Insula Dissilio 5th, 10,1017 Taken from BREAKING NEWS : It is my displeasure to bring the most current news to Simul. As much as I would love to not have to relay this information, it is my duty to keep you all informed and as safe as I can. With that, I must weave together the details of last night’s horrors. Before the sun began to descend, something else fell upon our great kingdom. From what we can gather, the first attack was in Korrig. Despite the docks already having taken a major hit, it appears the assailants decided they needed to come back to finish the job. Unfortunately, the structures are a complete loss. Even worse, it has been reported that more than 20 people are still missing while the casualties are nearing the same number and injuries have topped 33. From what we can tell, the next attack was shortly thereafter in Timberholde. Every city entrance was reportedly blown apart and virtually sealing the city inside of itself. This also included grave damage to the newest addition, the train. The station and surrounding area have been destroyed beyond repair. Casualties have reached 67, more than 40 have been injured and another 17 are still missing. Another attack mere hours after came in the form of another explosion. This one took out the entirety of the bridge from the mainland to Curet Insula. No fatalities have been reported, but it has only been a few hours since receiving the news and searches are still in effect. I wish I could say that I have reported everything. I wish I could tell you great people that we can recover from this. I wish I had the magic words…something to give you all hope. Unfortunately, with this last piece of information I have to bear, I cannot fathom how we are to unite. At just past 8 last night, Eleutheria and our royal family was attacked. According to the guards and surviving staff, nothing was out of the ordinary until they heard Hilda scream and then what sounded like a man being tortured. This man is assumed to be King Alfred. Apparently, shortly after, a fire broke out, causing many of the people who also lived in the castle to flee with little to nothing to the second story of the city. Still, 13 are missing and feared dead. The royal family was never located, even after the fire was quelled. There was but a note left at the scene. This note had a confession and confessions to more crimes that were, unfortunately, confirmed this morning. The entire Fortescue bloodline has been murdered. Sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandfathers and grandmothers… all of the bloodline has been taken from Simul in the most horrid of ways. I cannot even begin to write what information I have been given. Simul…please. PLEASE be safe. I know we are now living in a very uncertain time. I have faith that we will be okay. Please, look after yourselves, your families, your neighbors and your cities. This is Flynn, signing off. Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice." Library of Shit Town Updates Tranquillum Tranquillum Year 10,013 month of Dissilio The forest was quiet, and therefore, not a single soul witnessed the growth of the fifth and final Tree of Life as it burst through the center of Tranquillum. Now, though, everyone within the Kingdom knows about it. Year 10,017, Month of Bruma BREAKING NEWS (Copied from Simul Quarterly) Sad news out of Tranquillum today. Every year, tens of thousands of Simuliams look forward to one of our most coveted holidays: Lux Amare. This year, something awful has happened. Various witnesses have come forth to describe a horrid scene of assailants murdering the Cor. Not just killing them, but petrifying them, only halfway. Many of the statements we cannot repeat here at Coexisting Connections. We do have a photo submitted by a long time listener and an unfortunate witness to the events. Please, look on only if you must. (Image can be viewed on article) According to stories, a darkly shrouded individual ran through the forest that is Tranquillum, stopping at every Cor they saw, and used some sort of magical fog emit from their fingers. Once this 'fog' reached the innocent animals, they were...'frozen'. This can only be described as a 'half attempt at turning them into stone'. Now, we have no proof that all of these instances are connected in any way, but by the sounds of some of the statements, it may just be possible. Please folks, stay safe out there. If you see something, say something. This is Flynn, signing off. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

Library of Shit Town Updates Oak Silva Oak Silva Year 10,013 month of Dissilio Near the northern parts of the city, there was a complain train started. What most thought was a large beast trampling around just outside of Oak Silva turned into full blown earthquakes. A few homes were cracked and fell from their treetops, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Silence befell the area for a few days before the eruption of the massive Tree of Life shook the citizens of the nature bound city. Though they were shaken, it was quick for them to realize what a gift they had been bestowed. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top

  • Pantheon | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Lore Stuff Pantheon Pantheon Below you will find the listing for each temple or shrine available for worship or sanctuary. There will also be little blurbs about the God or Goddess themselves and if there are any updates to a particular temple or shrine. Tree of Life The Tree of Life is one of the oldest "Religions" (Way of Life) inside of Simul. From the moment the first human set foot inside of the continent, a massive tree on the island that Eleutheria now sits on ‘activated’. As the humans grew and spread across the land, the Tree stood still, awaiting the time to be discovered. Only a few hundred years into Simul’s history, the Tree was found by those who began construction on Eleutheria. It was not until the humanoids tried to cut down the massive tree that they understood it was not just a tree. An axe came swinging down. It did not hit the Tree. The sound of repelling glass could be heard throughout the area. The people stopped and stared as a ripple upon the Tree’s barrier shot upward and into the ground below. From that moment on, the people had something to believe in: The magical land that had come upon. For quite some time after, the Tree stood tall and proud as the citizens of Simul built its city’s capital around it. They thought it brilliant as the land seemed invigorated. No matter how many foot falls crushed the grass nor how many trees were cleared, the land still grew where it could. Leaving large, open places for gardens and nature’s beauty, Eleutheria came to be alongside its nature brethren. Whispers began, as all rumors naturally start. Whispers of the Tree and its magical protection. Whispers of the never wilting leaves and the never shedding bark. Some people wanted to try and take it down, to no avail. More often than not, people prayed. Though they had no gods or goddesses they worshiped, something about the tree gave them hope. So, they prayed. They prayed for good harvests and less ailments and for a good life. One day, the tree answered. The first gift upon the people was not even for the people; It was for one little old lady by the name of Juniper Florence. The story goes: Juniper had lost it all. Her husband to old age, her children to sickness and her home for lack of stable work. She had prayed every day for it all. For better health, a longer life, her husband and her children...It was not until Juniper began to pray for the last time she had promised herself, that the Tree finally made a move. From the top of the highest branch, a single leaf danced down to her lap. It was also said that Juniper heard a voice. She could not tell if it was female or male, only that it gave her very specific instructions on how the gift worked. She was only gifted one, as any other persons on the face of existence would get, should they be so lucky. It was a personal gift. One she could use for any given wish in the realm of ‘healing’. She was also asked to share this with the world. To tell them what the Tree was capable of and to prove that the wish would be granted. It asked her to wish in front of an audience, to which she said she would. What did Juniper use her gift for, you may ask? It was simple. She wanted to be young again. Specifically, as young as she was when she met her husband. In a brilliant display of light and bright colors, and in front of her remaining family, Juniper became a vibrant young lass of only twenty years old. The miracle was shared between the family members who also promised to speak well of the tree and its wish granting capabilities. From then on out, The Tree of Life was a staple for the majority of homes across Simul. This instance became what fueled the ‘religion’ or following of the Tree of Life. The people believed that such a strong symbol of nature was to be nurtured and cared for, just like the rest of the planet. Those who follow the Tree follow the simplistic, yet morally amazing, set of life choices. From protecting and valuing their land to respecting and cherishing good natured magic. Most of them are peace loving and will do what is necessary to resolve issues, big or small, with basic humanoid decency. During times of war or widespread strife, those who practice the Tree of Life teachings are often found on the front lines or battlefront healers. They protect fiercely and live the best lives that they can, surrounded by love. Oftentimes, they will decorate their home with nature in mind. Such as: Building their home with magic rather than cutting down too many trees. Decorate with items nature has given them like fallen branches, wilted flowers, or even hand carvings of the Tree of Life symbol that has been reiterated for generations. Sticking with nature-like colors as to not destroy the atmosphere of the world around them. There are many rituals that the people who follow the Tree do. However, none of them are original. As the teachings have been handed down through generations, one can see that in each individual and the way they do things. Some will practice by praying next to a Tree, or a tree that symbolizes the first for them. In the year 9401, however, the tree would take a very large hit. The battle between the brothers Jayden and Jeffry became nothing short of a massive war, with Eleutheria being at the head. It has been said that Jayden had a dream. In the dream, he was told to take down the tree before his brother came with his amassed army. It would strengthen his numbers, or so, he was promised. Little did he know, it was all an elaborate ruse from the Gods of Good and Evil. With the most powerful mages at his disposal and an axe, Jayden hacked away at the barrier and eventually exposed the tree. Six mages and the brother himself all descended upon the massive trunk and electrified the entire thing. A burst of powerful lightning came down….and destroyed the tree. Exploding it and causing hundreds of pieces to rain back down from the sky. With the tree destroyed, Jayden was sure he would be victorious and the land would obey him….but his brother Jeffry showed up just hours later, wiping him from existence. The Tree, though gone from existence, was still prayed to, and still is. Though it is no longer growing at the pinnacle of Simul, the people believe the land is still sacred and treat it as such. The followers of the Tree tend to their land and gardens with the utmost care. In the year 10,013, something erupted. Quite literally. During the season of warming, there were more quakes. This time, much smaller on scale. However, they were strong enough to cause some damage. The Temples of Unity, the center of Timberholde, the northern outskirts of Oak Silva, directly above the entrance of Dun'Lorn, and the center of Tranquillum were all affected at the very same moment. In the middle of each quake, a split in the earth appeared. Almost like large craters, these holes were deep and.... pulsated . Those who bore witness tell the tale of the Trees. In less than an hour, the massive trees erupt from the craters created, fully furred with leaves and tough bark. Those who heard the stories knew what had happened: The Tree had returned five-fold. There are said to be protectors of the Tree. People who have been chosen to be the barrier between the Tree and the world. These people, who are chosen from only Gods know where, usually live within or close by a Tree. The Tree’s barrier will be weakened over time after being protected, but once the protector is no more, the Tree will automatically reactivate its own self defense. Should a protector be distracted, the Tree will defend itself. These people usually benefit from the Tree as well. A mutual love and respect that benefits both parties. (All Tree protectors must be approved by staff.) Currenty Tree Protectors: 📌 None currently If one is chosen to protect a tree: 📌Within ten miles of a radius, all physical attributes of the Protector will be enhanced by 20%. 📌Natural Healing 📌Natural Strength 📌Natural Senses (Sight, touch, taste, hearing and smelling) Specifics for receiving a leaf: 📌You can roll for a leaf once per day in real life. 📌Your character can only receive one leaf for all time. This goes for all characters. Only one Leaf. They can be gifted a leaf by someone who has been gifted from the tree, but they will never receive a leaf from the tree. After receiving a leaf from a tree, they can never be gifted a leaf again. The leaf being offered as a gift will turn to dust should it be offered up to someone who has already had one. 📌These leaves can only cure ailments. A more in depth list to follow: 📌Curses 📌Poison 📌Injury (Up to death, but not including)(Only one injury, regardless of how many are present) 📌Parents may use a leaf for a child who cannot communicate 📌Deformities (Only one regardless of how many are present) 📌Illness (Cancers, sicknesses, viruses, bacteria, mental, etc. Only one.) The Temple The temple for meditation, personal reflection and giving thanks to the land is located on the island of Temples of Unity . Open and welcoming to all, the front of the building holds no doors to keep the place looking as inviting as possible. There are benches set around the Tree for people to enjoy its company and pray for their leaves. Deep inside of the building, there are chairs and couches and fireplaces to keep the place warm. Even deeper than that, there are beds to share with those who wish to stay for more than a day. Salus and Malus: The Gods of Good and Evil Right: Salus Left: Malus Since the beginning of time, there has always been good and evil. Right and wrong. Light and dark. For Simul, it came in the form of two brother Gods. Salus and Malus. The story goes…: Salus and Malus had always fought over who should be the more influential. Good and light was pleasant. It was hard, but worth every stress. However, evil was easy. Just doing what one wanted with no thought to another. As Simul grew and the population increased, Salus and Malus would argue over how the nation would lay out. As the two brothers fought, the land suffered. From the anti-magic followings to bad crops, evil seemed to be winning over the people for the worse. Even Salus, the pleasant of the two, had begun to notice the changes. Not only within the people, but within himself. Salus made a compromise; One he was not proud of, but knew it was for the best. As the emotions of the brothers flared, so did the heat down on the land of the living. He wanted to give the people something to believe in. Something good and promising. To do that, he needed to show himself. This alone, was a difficult task to achieve. If the people did not believe in good anymore, no one would see him. Oh, the particulars of being a deity. As tempers grew and suspicions blazed through the paranoia of Simul, Salus came to an agreement with his brother. If the people could see him, and he could preach the teachings of good and coexisting, Malus would lay up on his hatred. Malus agreed. So, one night during the harsh winter of the year 972, Salus took faith in not only himself, but the one he planned on revealing himself to. The man’s name was Herald Fortescue: The soon to be crowned King. While the man slept, Salus came in and woke him with words of the future. The future that would unfold if the people did not come to a consensus and life in harmony. Less than a year later, Herald took the word he had received and spoke them out to the people. He would later be crowned King, his family to hold the title for all time. The words Herald spoke those days were nothing other than extraordinary. He spoke of the spirit that had come to visit him, claiming to be the guardian of Simul. He recited the awful things that had already happened between the people. The paranoia and pointed fingers. The accusations and thieving. Herald also spoke of the promises this spirit, Salus had made. That if things were not to change, his brother, Malus, would reign supreme; destroying all that they had built. Though the majority of people could tell the King was telling the truth, there were still a handful of people who refused, taking up the following of Malus and refusing to live in peace with their neighbors. These people eventually took up hiding and living in a far off mountain range. The rest of Simul had taken hands and sang their joy to their new King and the promises of Salus. The followers of Salus, of all that is good and right in the world, practice just that. From being selfless with charity and doing their best to live a life to be proud of, they also tend to be more forgiving than others. Even when one has done them wrong, a Follower of Salus will swallow any and all pride and anger in order to keep the coexisting ideal of Simul alive. Most Followers are very clean and tend to their surroundings with care. They also do worship Salus, either at home, or in various temples throughout the kingdom. The most popular being that temple within the Temples of Unity . It is the largest white building toward the north of the island with double stairs leading up to the grand doorway. Often being met with priests and priestesses that will offer food and a bath should the traveler be in need. The followers of Malus, however, stay fairly hidden within the depths of a mountain range north of Sudbury. It is said there is an entire village inside of the deepest caves where those who have come to hate magic and its users, and just about anything that is not considered a regular humanoid as well. These people, though peaceful to one another, tend to be rather paranoid and avoid those who use magic or supernatural abilities. Some who have tried to explore the area have come home to say that they had a hard time using any magic or enchanted items in the secretive mountains . It has also been said that there is an extremist group of these Followers of Malus who take and torture those who are vulnerable in order to cleanse Simul of the wicked they perceive. The Church of Benitoite just outside of SkyHaven seems to be one of these extremist groups. Gloria: The Goddess of War and Honor During the early years of Simul coming into existence, there were many times that war was imminent. Due to various reasons, those who used magic and those who were not magically inclined butted heads. However, for some reason or another, things always seemed to settle down. Those who chose to coexist did not question it, chalking it up to the fates. Radicals, however, blamed the weakness of others. For centuries, every time the citizens of Simul seemed to come closer and closer to conflict, things settled just as quickly. Over time, stories emerged. Most considered them myths, legends, bedtime stories. Tales from people claiming to have witnessed an angel coming to them in their dreams. A celestial woman, covered in white and beautiful, deep crimson locks. She came to many in their slumber, speaking words of calming peace and logical solutions to conflicts. A small following for this woman, whose name was only given and spoken as Gloria, began to form. Praising to this supposed deity usually came by the few people who truly believed with words of wisdom and conflict resolution. There were not many, but those who did believe often traveled the lands and spoke her name, offered soothing advice, and gave promises they had been given upon slumber; That the land of Simul would be a land of eternal peace. No matter the conflict, Simul would always come back together as one. It was not until the War of the Brothers in 9405 that the name Gloria became a household name. It was during the war that she made herself known during not only the night, but during the day as well. As a beacon of hope to those who wanted to give up. As a figurative shield to those who took more punches than they could give. Each and every soldier who fought on the side of good swore, in one form or another, that the beautiful and gracious Gloria had come to their rescue. Stories continue to be told of those days, and her following has only increased over the decades. Eros: The God of Love and Companionship As many know, love and companionship is the building structure of any healthy relationship. Along with, of course, honesty, respect, and understanding. As many stories go, Eros is not actually a God, but something much much deeper. The rumors started as just that. Rumors of enemies becoming friends. Rumors of beasts roaming with spirits. Rumors of pirates shoveling coin to the poor. The first instance, the people were confused. How could they have the feeling to sit down with another who they despised? Why did they feel the need to be charitable when they were also downtrodden? What made them have the urge to rid their minds and hearts of regret and grudges? Though they questioned the sudden switch in their brains, the people did not stop it. For there was a little peace in their world, and it felt nice. However, as many good things, it came to a halt, and the fighting and rumors spread again. Many blamed each other for the lack of progress of building the kingdom. Some hated that others used magic. Some looked down on the ones who could not. The kingdom was in trouble, again. And after years, another wave of peace hit the lands. That is where the rumors became more than just words. It was never really proven, but, there have been stories passed down through families and generations of the one responsible for the constant waves of peace. They call him Eros. Depicted as a man dressed in pinks and reds and whites with a beautiful face and gentle touch. This man, clad in his brightly colored armor, has been said to have been seen by those who have lost all hope in humanity. No one can pinpoint exactly where these stories come from or how far back this goes, but Eros has gained a massive following. He does have a temple located within the walls of Temples of Unity , but that seems to be the only place of worship for the lesser known God. People tend to pray to him at home, or randomly throughout their days in order to gain inner peace and love for their brethren. Many of the people who follow devoutly tend to be very kind and charitable within not only their homes, but the kingdom at large. They often take any opportunity to show kindness and affection to others, especially since most of them fancy themselves empaths. Some actually are. You can often find trinkets and tapestries depicting Eros himself. Usually surrounded by hearts and stars with a gleaming smile upon his face. Hinrich: The God of Stories Deep within the Alderman Mountains lies one of the most elusive cities Simul has to offer. This elusiveness also spreads to their own internal worships and religions. However, one religion has come to light in the masses. The main practices that the dwarves of Dun’Lorn have kept secret for centuries. Shortly after the War of the Brothers , the dwarves shared some of their home life with the rest of Simul. This included the teachings of Hinrich: God of Stories. In some of the most ancient stories, Hinrich was once a human who had an almost insatiable lust for knowledge. He learned all that he could about his tribe, his city, and his people before setting about learning the other races he could find. He learned everything he could about the old world and those who lived in it. Eventually, he became arrogant and began to hoard his knowledge from the rest of the world. There were whispers though...Whispers that this man had poured through ancient texts of gods and worship. It has been said he began to piece together how to cross into the realm of the gods to uncover all the knowledge that he could ever desire. So, when he finally crossed over, the gods were less than pleased with this interloper breaching their world to steal their knowledge. They cursed him to wander the world and collect all known knowledge and record it for them and to never stop moving and collecting it for them as long as he may exist. He slowly gained godlike power over the mortal plane… The people who worship this man, Hinrich, tend to be very introverted. Oftentimes striving for knowledge, Followers of Hinrich often achieve high levels of education. Not just one subject either, these followers will, more often than not, seek to expand their knowledge to the highest degrees they can in each and every subject they can. You can find them worshipping in the temple laid out in Temples of Unity or traveling to Dun’Lorn in order to find better ways to thank and ask for help from the God himself. • Oh fuck, that's not Timberholde... | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Archived/Retired Oh fuck, that's not Timberholde... Oh fuck, that's not Timberholde... Event dates: 4/14-4/18 "Oh, how I have looked forward to this day." Timothy was not a man that looked forward to much. He had once been excited for his first anniversary. He had also had experienced happiness at the thought of becoming a father. This had to top those, and then some. Not because he didn't care about his memories. But because mayhem had replaced happiness in his mind. He floated above the outskirts of his target, just out of reach of the impending event he was about to produce. In perfect alignment in order to view the massive city of Detroit crush the equally large city of Timberholde. A dark shadow, without so much as a chip on his shoulder, came just a bit closer. He was waiting for something. That something did not take long. The moment he heard the first scream, he knew it was time. Finally...he would be rid of two headaches. The city came down from its mile high position with enough force to rock the entire continent of Simul. Not a single soul would not be aware of something happening. To the furthest, perhaps an earthquake? To the closest...well...the last thing through their minds could have easily been a brick. Along with...tens of thousands of other decimated brains. There was no warning. There was no explanation. There was not even a loud evil laugh that echoed after the dust settled. And he didn't stay long enough to hear the gurgling, struggled breath of the closest fallen innocent. He had made his point. His work was done... for now. With the city of Detroit literally crushing Timberholde beneath its mass, the King of Simul has called for aide from every corner of this great land. Time is of the essence. Before the barriers collapse, the King has asked for any and every able bodied person to flock to Timberholde to rescue those still trapped beneath. This is a search and rescue. Rules: ~You may post once every half hour. ~There is no character limit for your posts. (An intro post is mandatory) ~You can play as many characters as you wish ~You must roll three times (1d10) in bot-spam for your "Rescue Numbers" ~This number is the number you are looking for when you post in Timberholde ~You can roll once every half hour (Label each roll in the channel for what character it is for if you are bringing more than one) ~If you hit your Rescue Number, you have rescued one survivor trapped inside of the city ~Please keep track of your points (Moderators may recount) The three people who rescue the most survivors will be offered the following: ~A home inside of Timberholde (Modest size, after rebuilding) ~An unbreakable item (One of their already owned items becoming unbreakable at staff's discretion) ~A custom role title of "Hero of the Century-2021" ~Their choice of post entered into the hall-of-fame ~Bragging rights for being a bad ass Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Posted: Updated: Views Back to Top
