- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffJanuary 19, 2024Dew Dancers AKA The ArdorSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend #fairy #fae #intelligent #non-tame #glowing #magical Image created with AI Dew Dancers are a more popular type of fairy in Simul. Not because they are extremely common, but because of what they are. These fae creatures are very small, growing usually no more than the height of a pointer finger. Dew Dancers are one of the smallest of their species. With the average intelligence of humans, they choose to live rather primitive lives among the largest of gardens and forests Simul has to offer. Most of the time, when spotted, Dew Dancers are in flight and look nothing more than a darting, glowing orb. In flight, they illuminate into various colors that cover their actual body like some sort of camouflage. Their light diminishes immediately after landing, revealing their tiny, humanoid bodies. They do speak, but it is a language that has yet to have a common book of translation. A very secretive species, Dew Dancers often keep to themselves in their tiny cities they build themselves wherever they deem it safe enough. Most of these fairies have some sort of magical ability, but most choose not to delve into practice which has greatly affected their elemental prowess. Peaceful in nature, but not a species one can 'tame'.0
- BeastiaryIn Lore StuffNovember 12, 2023Hail HareSubmitted by @Lyanna Legend #hare #rabbit #feathered #tame #social #bunny #flying #electric Image created with AI The Hail Hare is a variant of Rabbit that is born with far more special attributes, making it highly sought among exotic pet keepers. Most of it's body is covered in feathers rather than fur, and eyes that are made of some sort of crystal type material. This does not affect their near perfect eyesight or hearing. These rodent type animals are very tame, even in the wild. They are mostly herbivores but have been known to eat poultry or fish if needed. Hail Hares are capable of sky-walking, giving the illusion of flight. They also have a defensive mechanism in the form shocking touch. If frightened and touched, it will feel similar to being shocked by someone in wools socks. After seeing these creatures in the wild, I am convinced they were some deity's gift to the good people. Hail Hares are plentiful in forested and meadow like areas. They roam alongside their more mainstream brethren, and some cross-breeding is expected. They are far less skittish; easily coming up to humanoids. They are also a fairly common house-pet. Most are indoor-outdoor and easily potty trained. I've noted that they grow and socialize very closely to the basic rabbit or hare, and hold the same body mass. Though they are usually used as pets, Hail hares have been known to be marketed for their meat as well. They are fairly inexpensive as either. These animals are also above average in intelligence, able to learn most commands, much like a dog. They are very sociable, needing more than one in a single home in order to obtain a healthy state.00
