- RulesIn Stuff and ThingsMarch 24, 2022Combat Rules Here, we use T1. Here is a basic run down: T-1 is story based fighting. Example: Player 1: Makes a move. Describes what happens should it hit. Player 2: Either takes the hit/counters/dodges. Any combination of these works too. Player 1: Does the same. And so on. So, when it comes to multiple people in a scene like that, you just follow the same thing. I realize that sometimes, more than one move needs to be made in one post. That is fine. When there is a dispute on if someone is abusing the system, please ping or DM one of the mods. We will come as quickly as we can to read it. From there, we can decide whether or not it is blatant abuse.00
- Roleplaying Cheat SheetIn Stuff and ThingsMarch 24, 2022Some simple things to remember when creating a character 📌You can have more than one profile. But don't go overboard! Too many profiles usually equals burn out. 📌Simul is a "young" country. (In quotes cause we have seen so many "MY CHARACTER IS A BAJILLION YEARS OLD" profiles) Barely breaking the ten thousand years old mark. If your character is from Simul, please make their age appropriate. 📌Along with that, if your character is not from Simul, please use one of the following excuses on how they got there: 📌If they are from a different realm, how did they get there? 📌Were they thrown in through some sort of time travel? 📌From a sister land? Probably by boat or something. I mean, unless they like swimming. 📌Portals? Can they make them at will? Make sure to add that to their profile. Please and thanks. 📌Power/Ability lists can be hard. A hint? Make them as detailed as possible. It helps to avoid too many questions and complaints. 📌Playing an evil character will get that particular OC shade pretty quick. Keep this in mind when playing "edgy bois". It is hard to interact with characters that are jerks, ya know? Not saying there is no place for evil/edgy/awkward characters! 📌There is no set list for races. You can play literally whatever you want. There is a list of Race Native to Simul found HERE 📌Your character does not have to be from a marked city or village. Your character can have a home randomly placed throughout the map or can be from a small, unnamed village, etc. Just be warned, if you go with someone unnamed, please do not expect it to be added to the map. We leave creative freedom up to you, but Simul will always have its own continuity. 📌You can name this village 📌It will not be added to the map 📌It can be a standing village, or a nomadic tribe of sorts 📌It can have shops and tavern and all the good shit in it00
- RulesIn Stuff and ThingsFebruary 17, 2020Ban-able Offenses Trigger Topics: 📌Graping (You know what this is. Don't be dumb) 📌Suicide (Including in a joking manner) 📌Violent Crimes (Blood, Gore and the like unless associated with RP) 📌Racism 📌Mental Illness (Talking about your own in fine. Joking about it or someone else' is not) 📌Handicap (Do not make fun of someone less fortunate than you.) Being an Asshole: 📌Talking back to staff (Most of the staff are adults and behave as such) 📌Being aggressive to any member on the server 📌Making and submitting "Troll" characters (Serious waste of our time) For example: 📌Profiles that are bare bones 📌Characters that are ridiculous and obviously not going to be played 📌Criticizing someone's writing (Shouldn't have to describe this. Use your brain.) 📌Raiding 📌Talking shit just to talk shit NSFW: 📌Keep that shit to assigned channels 📌Vore 📌Scat and Urination 📌Blood Play 📌Physical abuse (Beyond the reaches of BDSM) 📌Underage. Not in play and not in any picture form. 📌Death and Gore 📌Beastiality (Kemonomimi is fine. So are furries.) 📌Snuff (The act of killing while fucking.) 📌Necrophilia 📌Unnecessary Pinging 📌Excessive OOC in RP channels 📌Being a nuisance to the community. Shaming, making people uncomfortable, arguing, unnecessary violence, creating drama in or out of character (Unnecessarily) , or being a general annoyance. This list will be updated as needed.00

- Roleplaying Cheat SheetIn Stuff and ThingsMarch 24, 2022Roleplay Basics Looking to brush up on some skills? Or just learning for the first time? Whatever it may be that caused you to click this link, I do hope you enjoy! Here, I have compiled a short "How To" on the basics of text based roleplaying. First thing's first: What is text based roleplaying? This is a form of roleplaying where you create a character and live out their lives through text. Much like writing a book, but with other people. Or yourself. I mean, I have seen a lot of people over the years prefer to roleplay with themselves. Interesting, but functional! Finding partners online has become easy, yet difficult all at the same time. Imagine: You have just thought of the perfect character, and you want to put them in a world where you can write about them and watch them grow. Well, where to start? Finding a great community, or making your own! Then, you just start. Sounds simple, right? That is because it is! Though we may be a dying breed, there are still tons of us out there just waiting to share and create with others. How to write a post This one is a little more difficult to explain, however, I will do my best to do it in an easy to understand way. A post is a segment of writing in which your character is interacting with the world and other characters around them. However, this is not all. Here comes the more in depth part. What makes a great post? Many people assume that a big post equals a great post. This could not be further from the truth! Especially if you are new to roleplay and worry when you click through channels and see massive posts that look rather intimidating. Do not let that fool you. There are many aspects to posts. Keep this list in mind: 📌What is your character feeling? Do these emotions happen to cause them to do anything? Eyes fluttering? Fingers tapping? Chewing on their lip? Belching because they are too full? 📌What are they thinking about? Did the thoughts change? Do they think in first or third person? Is it their own voice they are hearing? A voice of a parent? Or perhaps a long lost love? Is it a particular memory? Was it good? 📌What are they wearing? What is the other person wearing? What does the other person look like? Did your character happen to notice something in particular? Why? 📌What is around them? 📌What are they doing? 📌Are they interacting with the world around them? Tell us about it! These are just a few questions to ask yourself when typing a post. Not every single post needs to include every little detail, like the bubbles inside of a water glass, or the odd scent of dust and parchment. Especially if you are new and not quite sure if you cannot post more than our character minimum. Use a detail here and there. Trust me, your post will grow over time. Before you know it, you may reach multi-para posting and not even realize it! Common Decencies when roleplaying with others There are a lot of ways to go about roleplaying on a platform such as discord. First thing I suggest is always ask your partner this question: How often are you on? Why, do you ask? Because, this will set the pace for posting! If you are someone who likes to post one right after another, then you may have to plan that out. If you are someone who is slow and can only post once per day, you may want to warn anyone you are playing with that is the case. On a server where there is only one channel per location, it is always a great idea to ping after your post. Not only does it help the person(s) you are roleplaying with find your post in case other groups are also playing in the location, it helps to not force them to sit there all day waiting on your posts. Simple way of making sure no posts are forgotten! Besides, there is that nifty little @ button on discord that people can use to check their pings. Don't leave your partner(s) hanging for days. Around our server (which may be much different than others.), most people will give you a three day courtesy waiting time before moving on with their characters' stories. That is only fair, right? I mean, how would you like it if you were scene locked and couldn't do anything with the overwhelming craving to roleplay? Speaking of scene locks, that is not a thing here! Only if you make it a thing. Common Dangers of Online Roleplaying Though the list is expansive, I will stick to the most important ones to look out for. Metagaming: The act of using player knowledge in character Oh yes, the dreaded metagaming. Though we always love when people read our profiles, we hate it when people metagame. How do we remedy this, you ask? CALL THEM OUT. Do not hesitate. Hesitating leads to the problem only getting worse. If you need a mod or an owner to come take a look, just message or ping us! Simple. Being Ignored: When someone does not read your entire post, or respond appropriately. Solution? DM or ping them in the RP Discussion and let them know. Point out what it is they missed. When roleplaying in large groups, this tends to happen more. It's no big deal. It happens to anyone. Just have an open line of communication. God Modding: When someone refuses to be hit and/or tries to autohit Just...tell a staff member. I am not entirely sure where this whole "Snitches are bitches" came from, but this type of problem does not go away on its own. Usually, it causes OOC to flood the RP channels, or arguments. If you have a good partner, yes, you may be able to point it out and have it be fixed. If not, come to the staff. Sometimes, staff will step in if they see it and it is not resolving. That is what they are there for. THE BIG OOF Blurring the Line: The act of associating IC and OOC This is a HUGE and unfortunately common problem. We do NOT tolerate such things in the server. If you personally have a problem with someone making this, or thinking perhaps they are, please please please send all screenshots to a staff member in DM. This needs to be handled with care and without pointing fingers where everyone can make a big deal of it. The common signs that someone is indeed blurring the line would include the following: 📌Getting upset at something that happened in character and taking it out OOC 📌Referring to a character as a different gender (Such as referring the character as the player's gender) 📌Using player names for characters 📌DM roleplaying gets oddly personal 📌Falling 'in love' with the player after the characters become an item. (Biggest issue) 📌Anything that tells you in your gut that something is wrong 📌Getting butthurt when you have another character that is an item with someone else other than theirs00
- Roleplaying Cheat SheetIn Stuff and ThingsMarch 24, 2022A Final Note We are all here to have fun and enjoy a hobby. Though you will find I have said this other places, I would like to reiterate: THIS IS A HOBBY, NOT A JOB Have fun out there!00

- The End of a Brilliant MindIn Character JournalsJanuary 28, 2024Ver 11th, 4288 Entry 2 I have spent as much time as I can caring for Alma. My work has gone to the wayside, and though part of me is enraged for not continuing to find a cure, the majority of my mind cannot tear myself from her side. I can see it in her slowly dulling eyes, every time I g to leave the room. The longing for my companionship til the very end. How can I let her end? I cannot speak of the things I must do, but I know that she knows what it is in the cellar. I can see how her face distorts when I enter her room. My wife Alma has taken a turn for the worse. We reminisced of days passed. The day we got married. The day we finished the house. The children we wanted to have. I held her and brushed her hair. I will cherish these moments. I cannot let them end. I will not. I fear her time is not long. I have studied and studied, to no avail. I cannot seem to heal her anymore. I have failed....00
- Lyanna's MemoriesIn Character JournalsOctober 4, 2023Stirps 12th, 9400 Floyd came over today. He brought my parents a "Thank you" gift for helping his friend. I wasn't there to witness it, but mother had been called away the day he moved in. She was gone for two days, and father didn't seem to mind. He just told me to be patient. "She is the best healer of our city. She is needed." I suppose he was right, but it did worry me at the time. Whatever she did, it must've been a great feat. He brought a large basket of various vials and bottles and even some home made treats he said he had spent days perfecting. I received a gift too, but I don't think father was too happy about it. I heard him ask Floyd why he chose to bring me something when I hadn't been there. I didn't get to hear the answer. It matters not. The flowers he brought are my favorite.00
- Lyanna's MemoriesIn Character JournalsMay 24, 2024Stirps 18th, 9400 I am not feeling well today. Mother has been doing her best, but it seems the only thing to help is the soup that Floyd had brought by. I think he may be a friend. I have never had one before and I am not sure how to be a friend. Father said I have been doing a great job at it, but I don't know what it is I am doing? Maybe it's because I am sick. I hope this fever passes.00
- The MapIn Events and HolidaysJune 11, 2024UPDATE Now that Lennox was defeated, it would be clear as day who his 'real' partners in crime were. Standing behind his felled body was one single soul: Nebula. Zain and Seymour had apparently ran off, leaving the woman to stand there in shock and dismay, clutching to his staff with wide yet loathing eyes. The man she loved had been killed right before her boots, and the two who had promised to defend him were now nowhere to be seen. It was all down to her...and she was nowhere near as strong as Lennox. She would either avenge him...or die trying. Readying her staff, she began to cast fire that would envelope them all if given enough time... From here, your characters are fighting at the same pace as before, however, Nebula has far less hit points. 150 to be exact. Whoever deals the most damage (Including the damage done to Lennox) will be the winner of this event. Good luck!0
