However, when worked into a proper frame and/or shape - its ability to retain its set position and edge/alignment is second to none: Outclassing even the most well-forged Simulian Alloy Blades or bows, even if forged in a poor manner. Due to its rarity, due to how it makes its way into the kingdom, it is more often than not reserved for Royalty. It is also the material used in most of the items/weapons/etc that the kingdom offers during events and festivals. Mining this material is also not for the faint of heart either - requiring the use of magic as the materials citizens of Simul have access to are insufficient enough to break through the exceptionally tough outer layer of - not only the meteorites - but the metal itself. The sky is watched in anticipation during very well documented times as to retrieve the metal. This is done by a handful of few master mages that have been hired by Simul itself in order to keep the material out of the hands of the general public, and this is why one cannot simply walk into a shop and purchase it. Top of the line magisters or arch-mages often oversee and conduct mining operations when a meteorite has been confirmed to have Obex inside of it. It is also capable of mixing and matching with nearly ALL types of metals that are found inside Simuls crust and the alloys its people have made, causing the entire item to become invincible. Obex is a strange, yet amazing, material that, in the hands of the few, has become highly sought after. The only way to do this is to win. OOC Note: Obex is the material that the unbreakable items won in certain events are made out of. Your character cannot have this material unless they win an event and/or are gifted an item made of it. Items that are made cannot be remade into other things. The Muse Mirrors are more common nowadays, but have a hefty price tag attached. Most are made with a large gem toward the top, giving most who look upon it the sense that it is more than just a "pretty shiny". True to its name, the Muse speaks. Its voice is melodious, like the tinkling of chimes on a spring breeze. It does not converse in straightforward language; instead, it offers riddles, rhymes, and poetic insights. At times cryptic, at others disarmingly frank, its words seem designed to provoke thought and self-discovery. Those who seek its wisdom often leave with more questions than answers, but somehow, a little closer to understanding themselves. The Muse is not without a sense of humor, though. Its mischievous streak shows in the occasional harmless prank—subtly altering a reflection to give someone a crown of flowers or transforming their expression into a caricatured grin.

The Creepy Candle Cretins, bearing singular, watchful eyes, were reportedly the second attempt at curing his loneliness. While they may not chuckle like the Kettles, their unsettling stares and peculiar antics provide entertainment in their own right. Standing no taller than a standard candelabra, these sentient candles shuffle about on waxy bases, their drips forming and reforming with each movement. They boast intelligence comparable to an elderly librarian—knowledgeable and wry—frequently dispensing cryptic bits of wisdom or utterly unrelated anecdotes. Like their kettle counterparts, Candle Cretins have unique names and personalities. It is believed that they "bud" from a larger Cretin over time, forming a new waxy companion. How the budding begins is anyone's guess, as they are highly secretive about their rituals. Cretins provide more than eerie company; they illuminate rooms with flames that never seem to melt them entirely. They require no wick replacement, instead sustaining their light through a curious magical energy fed by the ambiance of the space they occupy. Some swear that the Cretins burn brighter when surrounded by good company or intense conversation. Few have the courage to adopt these odd beings, but for those who dare, they offer a lifetime—well, three centuries—of bizarre companionship. Should a Cretin finally dim for good, they leave behind a permanent, waxen figure in their resting place, often posed in their signature stance. A keepsake, if you will, of their peculiar presence. Be warned, however—if a Creepy Candle Cretin catches you lying, its flame burns a vivid blue. It’s their way of saying, “Careful! I’m watching you.”

Getting Back to "Normal" 9407-10,001 Simul will never be the same. Though, this is not necessarily a bad thing. The history books teach of strife, but also the overcoming of said troubles. Now it is up to the people who call Simul home to keep it safe.

Legend of the Sea 1001-1050 During the early years, with the mess that was rumors and differences in opinion, there was also another threat to the rising of Simul. It came in the form of a massive sea serpent. One that provided myth and legends of violent sea voyages. Those that dared to wander out were either never heard from again, or came back with even more harrowing stories of the danger underwater. A shadow big enough to swallow an entire ship and come back for more. Large fins reaching to the heavens as the creature came close to the surface. Some stories were even violent. How the leviathan would snag small ships from the water and drag them deep into the abyss. Haunting echoes of screaming men as they drowned would cause nightmares in the strongest of the sea faring. This continued for quite some time. People fearing the water enough that it caught the attention of the royal family. More specifically, the king at the time, Johnathan Fortescue. The family had already made a name not only as the rulers of Simul, but the bravery that coursed through their veins. Johnathan, the head of the household kissed his wife Marie and headed out to determine what it was exactly that was causing the fear and hopefully eradicate the threat. The morning was cold, his breath caught on the wind like a cloud. Men converged on the front of the ship, all looking out to the calm waters, waiting for the beast to make itself known. They small crew did not have to wait long. The agitated sea serpent came to light, full mouth of teeth bared, aimed on taking them out. If it had not been to the quick thinking of the King, the men would have quickly perished. Using an explosive orb he had acquired from a wise witch, he hurled it at the beast. It shattered upon impact, releasing a relaxing mist that surrounded not only the leviathan, but the boat as well, putting every living soul to ease nearly instantly. Had the mist covered the men any more, they may have fallen asleep. It was just the trick needed to soothe the beast and try to converse in common. The group was surprised to find the beast had vocals as well, able to speak the common native tongue fluently. Stories were exchanged between them. How the leviathan had been attacked for years, defending itself and its home causing it to gain a hefty reputation. The King told of the myths she had caused on shore. Neither side felt there was a need for any of it to continue on as it had. The King promised to speak his words of wisdom to the people. In exchange, the beast named Neridia would protect the lands of Simul. Able to stay a legend in the story books, but with a pleasant twist. To this day, Neridia is still a household name. The Great Leviathan that protects Simul from outside invaders.

Their excitement and happiness is infectious. They are tidy and hate when things are disorganized. If they are not playing pranks on people, or chilling in their inkpot they are cleaning.  Size- These creatures never grow larger than six inches tall. Their wingspan can be as large as twice their size Appearance- These fairies are often colored in whatever ink they choose to inhabit. If they have not chosen an ink they are pure white with pink eyes.  Threat Level- No-Threat Estimated Maximum Age- These fairies are immortal as long as they choose an ink to inhabit. If they never choose an ink their life expectancy is five years.    Lore-  All the lore that surrounds these wonderful beings has to do with their abilities. A few scholars speculate how these strange fairies came into being.  The prevailing theory is they were the byproduct of a spell gone wrong. Power/Abilities-  Ink Fairies only have three abilities that make them incredibly useful if you have a lot of paperwork to read, or write. Their first ability is to know what is written down on paper within the room they call home. This can be blocked easily enough in a variety of ways.  Their second ability is to transfer whatever they have read to their masters. All they have to do is spit an ink-like substance into someone's eyes. Once the substance is absorbed through the eyes the receiver knows everything the faerie knows.  Their final ability is to produce an infinite amount of whatever ink they inhabit. Researchers Notes- I absolutely love these fairies. They save me so much time when doing all my paperwork. Their organizational skills are top notch as well. Once you get used to it you can find anything easily. Talking with them shows just how much they love life, nothing ever seems to shake them no matter how bad things are. Their love of pranks, and harmless mischief has caused many a prank war with anyone that has had the pleasure of interacting with them. I know they are strange but I think that is what makes them so incredible. I have actually spoken to the very first Ink Sprite, she is a delightful soul. No matter how much I ask she will never tell me how her people came into being. It is the only thing she will not tell me.
