- Flora and MolaIn Lore StuffFebruary 16, 2025Farmers Steel Farmers SteelMaterial Type- Mola, Alloy Appearance- Often seen rusty and pitted. This poor excuse for steel is often the only thing farmers can afford How its made- this material is literally made with whatever metal is available. It is melted into ingots and roughly forged into shape. How did it get to Simul- Farmers of Simul have been making it for centuries. It is cheaper than normal steel Uses- Anything that requires metal. Most farmers use it for tools, or to make crude knives. A few have even made passable pots and pans out of it. Special Quirks- There is nothing about this material that is special. Farmer’s steel is junk and should not be used for cooking. History- this poor excuse for steel was created by farmers that lost their harvests. They gathered up all the scrap metal they had to melt it.00

The rise of technology has seen it being used to make rudimentary machining equipment, or even farm equipment. Special Quirks- the only thing special about this material is it does not rust. Other than that is it just incredibly durable, about five times stronger than steel. History- Blacksmiths of Simul have been mining this material for millenia. Armor made from this has been known to take hits from a dragon. History- The real history of the material is unknown, all anyone remembers is how to make it. - Flora and MolaIn Lore StuffFebruary 16, 2025Simulian Bright Steel Simulian Bright Steel#mola #alloy #shiny Material Type- Mola, Alloy Appearance- Bluish in color, and ingots have been known to “sparkle in the light” How it's made- That is a secret known only to those with the skill to create it. All anyone knows is smiths that make this material need a special furnace. One that burns hotter and longer. How did it get to Simul- Bright steel was brought to simul by blacksmiths visiting from other realms. Uses- This material is perfect for making swords, and other melee weapons. It has been used for making car parts in recent years. That is due to being five times stronger than steel, and how easy it is to repair despite its durability. Special Quirks- Bright Steel has a couple strange quirks. It will often take on random effects based on its user. These effects often correspond to the user's profession, chefs that use this will have perfectly sharp knives that never need washing. Dragon slayers will cause more bleed damage to an enemy. A max of two random effects can be taken on by this material. ( depending on the effect it may require OOC permissions) Any edged weapon made with this material never needs to be sharpened. No matter what happens to the sword it will stay razor sharp. Its final quirk is looking brand new forever no matter the abuse. It also takes enchantments well. History- The history of this material in Simul is rather short. It was brought to Simul by the snow elves, and dwarves from another realm. They gifted the knowledge to the smiths of Simul to keep it alive. The creation of Bright Steel was dying, few smiths knew it and they were dying.00
- Curet InsulaIn Town UpdatesFebruary 16, 2025Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice."00

- Simul Quartlery - Bruma 20th, 10,018In Simul Quarterly·February 16, 2025Greetings Dear Simulians, It is my honor to bring you the most recent news possible. Stay in the know, Simul, and keep yourselves, your families and friends safe and healthy! The winter months are starting to come to an end, albeit, with some cold fronts still moving in. Ferren and our capitol are still making sure every soul is fed and warm, even while we send aide toward Korrig and Dry Gulch to get the ports and trade running again. We do appreciate all of your patience while this is being accomplished. Please keep an eye out for your neighbors, friends. We are all in this together. On a more serious note, recent numbers of registrations have brought to light that there are still those who would rather hold onto some sort of 'freedom' rather than make their fellow humanoids comfortable. As much as we understand that registering all magic and items associated, we must come together in order to save lives. Yes, the processes and laws being passed may seem inconvenient and invading, but it is for the betterment of Simul. With this being said, Ferren has made an announcement that there will be more a presence of the King's Guard posted around Simul. Please carry your registrations at all times, as failing to provide identification can and will lead to, and not limited to, imprisonment and fines. Keep your eyes peeled, Simul. This new law has been implemented due to more attacks and senseless killings that have been reported to the capitol. According to witnesses and subsequent investigations, there have been a total of three different attacks on Simul soil in the last week with a death toll of 76. Each and every attack has been associated with the mysterious robed figures as well as heavy use of magics. Alongside of implementation of the new laws and guards, the following statements have come directly from our new fearless leader, Ferren: "All magic academies/schools will now be under heavy scrutiny and guard. As of now, all magic schools must close their doors to operations, effective immediately. Unfortunately, until all residents inside of our kingdom are registered, we must contain all magic use to the best of our abilities. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. "Simul's food stores have been raided. This will cause more chaos than necessary. Please, be patient and have faith in your new capitol leaders during this trying time. In less than two months, crops should be back in the swing. With our efforts in saving our docks and trade cities, we hope that there will be an easier time feeding all. Please continue to fetch your rations in a timely manner. If you have any suggestions on how to stretch your food, share on Simul Social for your fellow neighbors." On our final note, we here at Coexisting Connections ask that you report anything suspicious. Keep your telegems close. Record everything. Report everything. The only way we strive is to survive, and we are going to strive, Simul. This is Lucius Scarletwound, reporting the news. Stay safe Simul.0018
