- Wish Well | Kingdom of Simul
"I saw Death. He resides in Wish Well." (High Fantasy Texted Based Roleplay. Join us on Discord today!) WishWell "I saw Death. He resides in Wish Well." "Welcome!" A word one will never hear come from the mouths of Wish Well. Never again will you be greeted by genuinely warm smiles or firm handshakes. Wish Well is no longer. It would be best to turn back now. Wish Well was the largest trading village in the kingdom. Small town mentality. No one was left behind. No one begged for money. No one was left without food. Worldwide known for hospitality and kindness to its fellow man, Wish Well was known as the pinnacle of what Simul was trying to achieve. Perfect coexisting. The night the city fell was filled with screams of terror and calls for help. All went unheard as the massacre took place. Come morning, Wish Well would be no longer. Mother Nature has since attempted to reclaim much of the terrain and buildings. She has tried, and most of the time, failed. The only sight of disturbance comes in the form of graves in the town square. Freshly dug and all marked with poorly, hand made crosses. A handful of brave souls have come and gone from the desecrated ground. Whether to try and rebuild or attempt to find items that belonged to late family members. Come morning, all would be back to the way it was the day before. Some say it is a curse upon the land. Some say it is a warning. With all of the sightings and stories, all know that the land will forever keep the image of the night of the massacre. No matter one's beliefs, all know that Wish Well should be left undisturbed. Library of Shit Town Updates Lake Torra Lake Torra Year 10.000 to Present There is a giant worm. Though he resides in Sterilis, there is a mention of him in Lake Torra. Every month, this long desert worm burrows his way from the desert to Lake Torra to drink. Then burrow back. This, of course, leaves quite a hole near a grouping of boulders. If one were to follow, they would find themselves under Sterilis. Keep in mind, the sand collapses behind him, so that is as far as you would get. - Astu Aether | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Astu Aether Year 10,011 Month of Ver The city fell out of the sky, almost literally. Calls for aide were sent out in a hurry. The people of Astu Aether had something wrong with them. What was it, you ask? Little did the people of Simul know, that the floating city sitting above the southern waters was infested with a strange and nearly terrifyingly....hilarious problem. In a desperate and rushed decision, the people of Astu Aether decided to move their last remaining city to a whole new realm, hoping to find a solution to their problem. They had no idea where it would end up, but luckily for them, they came to the right place. With the King's blessing, Astu Aether's plea for help has been spread across the land. With the recent attacks, The leader of Astu Aether has been requested to move the city itself to a safe location. With the help of the mages sent by the King, Astu Aether has successfully relocated their city to the Western Coast. Year 10,011 Month of Dissilio The giggle plague has been eradicated! The king personally thanks all who contributed to killing the little fuzz balls from the land. All are safe and welcome to come by Astu Aether! BREAKING NEWS (Taken from Simul Quarterly) Ver 21st, 10,017 It does not bring any ounce of joy to report on this story today, Simul. We just got word that there was yet ANOTHER random attack on our great kingdom. Astu Aether's portal tree, that sits on the southern coast of Simul, that also allows for easier travel to the floating city, has been the victim of arson. From what information we have gathered and statements provided by witnesses, it seems that a singular man, heavily robed in dark clothing had come in the night to set the bottom of the tree on fire. Some sort of fluid had been used which is what caused most of the damage. The only good news is that there WERE witnesses that were able to extinguish the flames before the tree was unsalvageable. The city leader of Astu Aether has put out a statement regarding the issue: "My people and my city are my first priority when it comes to safety. For the foreseeable future, we will be positioning guards at the tree that will take personal information for all those coming and going from Astu Aether. Please have a little patience. We are doing this for the safety of everyone." We here at Coexisting Connections send our best. This is Flynn, signing off. Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice." - Dun'lorn | Kingdom of Simul
Dun'Lorn Pray to the honored ancestors for strength, for courage, and for honor! And pray to the Stone when you fall into its cold, rough embrace, that you may stand with our ancestors some day. The dwarven Fortress city of Dun’lorn is one of strange origin and survival. When one speaks of the Dwarves that inhabit the city, only two thoughts would ever come to mind about the groundlings that dwell in the Aldermen Mountains. The first being a story of desperate survival where once a great under-empire once stood beneath the continent of Simul and how city by city, battle by battle, they lost their footholds in the undergrounds and were reduced to something almost akin to the dying grasp of a hopeless soul. The second story being told of a stalwart will to not go quietly into night, an igniting of the fighting spirit of every Dwarf, no matter where they come from being Durgar, or Mountain Dwarf, all standing side by side to defend and reclaim their lost glory. No matter which story you believe, there is to be said that each and every dwarf would die to defend their home. Whether or not one story is true over the other is up to philosophical debate amongst the children of the stone. But one thing's for certain; Every single Dwarf, no matter how tall, no matter from what noble family, no matter what peril they face... all will defend the city to their dying breath. In the last hundred years the last Dwarven Deep Lord the honored Hortigere Cragshaper has forged an alliance with the Kingdom of Simul in a desperate attempt to save the city from starvation thus forging a vassalage with the old King of Simul which the agreement still persist to this day with ruler-ship of Riorji Cragshaper the newest Deep Lord of Dun’lorn. Menu Here Singuroz Stories Velmraela's collection of books is the largest inside of Dun'Lorn. Mostly dwarven, she has the capability to have them translated just for you! There are also ancient texts on the history of Simul before the civilization went underground. Great for those studying their historical roots. The Clumsy Crab Down at The Clumsy Crab, Reindala or one of her beautiful dwarven bar maids will serve you with the largest of smiles. Not just ale and spirits, these ladies can cook up a mean steak! Dwed Healrumm She may not look like much but Nakeani is one of the most talented healers Dun'Lorn has to offer. She only has light magical abilities, but she is highly skilled with primitive measures. She has the room and the will to treat nearly twenty people at a time. Don't shy away if you need treatment! Alkorhilal o Brukag Don't let the young and innocent face of this dwarf fool you. Jaderina is a very old and very experienced chef and works hard to satisfy every customer that walks into her eatery. She mostly serves the best of the best of dwarven cuisine, but has been known to add some human flare. Svot Spot After decades of serving for the Dun'Lorn guard, Douthak decided he wanted to try something completely different. That is how Svot Spot was born. Not only is he handy with a sword, but Douthak can throw down some amazing pastries and cakes. While visiting the secluded city, don't forget to drop by and try it out! Karaad Ord He may be a dwarf without a beard, but Hirdren can craft with the best of them. It really is his saving grace from the constant reminder that he has no facial hair..like a man. Dwarves are known for their amazing metal work, and none within the walls of Dun'Lorn have been able to craft as well as Hidren. Fift Smarag Dun'Lorn may be under the mountains, but that does not stop them from having some of the most tender and fresh meat that you can find in Simul. Helaic, the owner, specializes in dragon meat, believe it or not. His sons and he will hunt for them near the entrance of their fortress city and prepare them for sale. Prices are negotiable, but don't come looking for a steal.
- Arbrestor | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Town Updates Arbrestor Arbrestor Year 10,010 Month of Ver A plague has drained most of the life from our town of Arbrestor....and it is not pretty.... It starts with blisters all over their body, that itch intensely. Then it goes onto a feeling drained, their skin starts to go black, decaying. With high fevers and brown mucus coming from their nose, mouth and eyes. They start to hallucinate, and gain paranoia of the world trying to kill them... so in turn they turn murderous, and savage. As the decay spreads, they begin to slow down, and weaken. Paranoia grows stronger as they begin their final stages of the plague. Many beg to be killed at this point, as flesh begins to fall off their bones, and breathing becomes labored. Immense pain focuses around their head and spinal area as bones themselves start to disintegrate. A few days later, with patches of flesh hanging off of barely there bones and tendons, they die. Unless you have a death wish, stay away from Arbrestor. We pray for you.... Send Year 10,017 Month of Dissilio Taken from BREAKING NEWS Panic on the northern coast this morning, dear Simul. News coming out of Arbrestor is haunting. According to authorities, during the early morning hours, before sunrise, a group of ten or more assailants descended upon the docks that provide great resource to our kingdom. What seemed to be a fair amount of tourists quickly turned into a horrific display of fire and acid type magics. Some witnesses that survived reported seeing a line of people taking steps in tandem toward the docks, aiming for where the most ships were housed before eruptions of flames and some sort of caustic mist. From what I could decipher from the reports given, these people appeared to be magics of some sort, robed in cloth that is eerily close to the description of the other attacks of late. Unfortunately, there are not description of the faces, only the numbers and the robes. As of this afternoon, it has been reported that there are 56 injured, 13 dead and over 40 still missing. The King, Alfred Fortescue, has put out a statement: "Dear Citizens Of Simul, The news of yet another tragedy in our kingdom brings me more than just sadness. As your king, it is my job to make sure you are all safe, sound, and healthy. I am doing my best to make sure these things stay true til the end of my time and another takes my place. I am sending aide in the form of money, food, and people to every area that has been affected. We are organizing forces to also aide in security in our most vulnerable cities and towns. If you have been affected by hardship, please reach out to the incoming forces and you will be helped in any way we can. Please, stay safe Simul. We WILL overcome this. We WILL defeat this evil." This is Flynn, signing off. Send Year 10,012 Month of Bruma After months of hard work, Arbrestor was restored to its former glory. Beautiful as it had been before, the people that now call the city home are proud to call it such. Send Year 10,011 Month of Nivalis Well...that happened. Arbrestor has been completely wiped clean. And by clean, I mean that it is rumored a soldier from Timothy's infected army has come through and slaughtered the last living souls that were trying to rebuild. Now, Arbrestor is a completely empty city, waiting to be rebuilt. The King swiftly found out about the act, and after sending soldiers to make sure it was safe, sent out a notice to the people of Simul. In Fortescue fashion, a home and land was offered to anyone who came to rebuild. No Updates Yet Most Recent Update November 14, 2025 Views Back to Top
- Temples of Unity | Kingdom of Simul
Temples of Unity Simul: Latin for Coexist. That is an ideal the royal family, for generations, has upheld. After the War of Brothers, the Temples of Unity were established. An island comprised of temples and shrines of many different worships, where the masses could worship and praise as one. The main and largest of the buildings house the main religions of Simul, however, there are many smaller establishments built by others who have come to the kingdom in order to share their own religions. One could easily assume there is a temple, church, or some sort of place of worship for nearly any religion. On the northern island, anyone can come and go as they please. Stay as long as you like. There is a massive bridge from the mainland to the island to make getting on the island easier for visitors. It is a long walk, but most opt to do it just to witness the ocean and mountains in contrast. Nearly 500 different priests, priestesses, monks, fathers and sisters and healers call the island home. Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Formido Peak Since the first humans walked the lands of Simul, they have been there. When the first magically inclined displayed their supernatural abilities, they were there. When the war commenced between good and evil brothers, they were there....waiting. Watching. Judging. Ferren had warned them. In his unquestioned long life, he has been their savior. Their God. Their leader and teacher. The one who convinces them that anything other than a human would perish in the "Coming of the End." And as conflicts arose throughout Simul along time, he had used it to persuade for an even bigger following. This following has grown in numbers, tipping the scales at over two thousand, and thus, has become their own society. Now, where would a society who hates magic users go? Somewhere hidden. Somewhere...shrouded in darkness. They call their home, Formido Peak. Besides the foreboding name, Formido Peak is an enigma. Though the people do not use magic, or so they claim, the mountains themselves seem to block all magical and supernatural abilities. Though anyone can enter, if they have any sort of magic, mental, or like abilities (Things normal humans cannot achieve), they will find themselves just as normal as the next. No one but Ferren knows why this happens, but he has sworn to take his secret to the grave. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update Views Back to Top
