  • Tristis Miser | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Tristis Miser Tristis Miser Date and Time: 5-27-22 (Staff Start) til End Have you ever been depressed? Angry? Off the handle, as some would put it? Have you ever wondered why? Searched for an answer despite it feeling so hopeless to do so? Well, how about a surprise like no other? Let's be depressed and angry and anti-social together! If you answered no to any or all of the above, it is really going to suck to be you in about...two more paragraphs. Imagine: You live in Simul. You are minding your own business. The summer months have finally come and life is bursting across the land. Since the Timberholde Incident (tm), things have been relatively quiet. Right? Riiiiiight? Let's change that. One sunny day during the beginning of the warmer season, you are walking around town or exploring or perhaps murdering a group of skeletons, and you feel something reeeeally warm attach to one of your limbs. Peering upon said warmth, you spot a black, fuzzy ball that seems to have not even a mouth. Freaky much? Abso-fucking-lutely . Unfortunately, no matter how much you shake and throw that ass in a circle, this damned thing won't fall off. Worse yet? The closer you examine this little parasite, the more you realize it is in fact...just that. A singular claw, sunken into your flesh/shell/armor or what else have you, burying deep within your muscle/fat (Don't argue). As much as you pull and yank, this damn thing just won't come off! Does it get worse? Of fucking course it does. Because, the longer the little fucker stays stuck to you, the worse you feel. Depression would be easy considering the awful feelings and emotions and outbursts to come. Every day will become hard. Every action you will literally have to force your body to commit. Every word will feel like vomit falling from your lips. Life simply...will become the hardest thing you will ever have to do. There is one question burning on everyone's mind. Can it be cured? Perhaps the answer will bring a tiny little sliver of hope to your mind. Yes. There is a cure. How do you attain such? Within yourself. That's fucking right! YOU will have to find a reason to LIVE. Will you find it before you lose all hope or hurt someone? Or will you succumb to the evil brewing within. How the Event will run: ~On the date, a staff member will type the words "Event Started" in the events channel. ~If you choose to have a character or multiple take part in this awful experience, you will roll 1d100 in the bot spam channel, labeled with what character it is. Edited rolls will not count. Please roll with the name. That is that character's number. ~You are allowed to roll 1d100 every 60 minutes (time needs to be elapsed and roll must be labeled) ~If your character hits the roll, they have found their reason to live and the Anti-Cor AKA Tristis Miser will shrivel and fall off and die. ~There is no end to this event, but you are allowed to keep the parasite if that is something you want for your character. ~There is no post minimum for rolls minus the roll of the damn thing dying. Include the "reason to live" in the post. Come on people, this shit is traumatic. Notes to take: ~Your character's reaction to this "bad vibes" having mofo are totally up to you. Use it to bring the chaos or use it to be a depresso espresso. Whatever you like! ~Once the creature has died, it will shrivel and disappear ~You CAN have a singular character be the victim of more than one of these things at the same time, but each one needs its own number ~If a character has 3 or more of these attached, and manages to defeat 3 or more, please ping staff in the suggest and discuss channel in order to receive your brand new custom role title of "Espresso-ed the Depresso-2022" ~These creatures are about the size of a newborn: 6-9 pounds ~These creatures will latch onto limbs mostly, but will aim for any part of the body Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top

  • Arcanus Aecor | Kingdom of Simul

Arcanus Aecor Long ago, when Simul was yet to become a kingdom, there was a city hidden in the depths of the ocean. The people, unable to breathe air, stayed in their watery home, hoping to find a way to come to the surface and colonize. Thousands of years passed with no progress until the day of the earth quake. The portal they had been working on for so long sunk into the abyss... Until recently. A new quake of destruction was anything but, leading to the portal the people had completed to resurfaced on the southern coast. Passing through allows the people to breathe air or breathe water, depending on the direction. Arcanus Aecor is home to many water dwelling species and humanoids, so be prepared to witness gills galore! The portal sits on the southern coast, and upon entering, will transport you to a wondrous city many miles out into the ocean. Year Incorporated: 102 Population: Approximately 10,000 Human: 50% Elven: 22% Dwarven: 1% Other: 27% Magically Inclined: Approximately 20% Updates Seawise Down at Seawise, Ervin will serve you with a smile. His specialties are mostly sweets, but he can make a mean prime rib. Nothing is off the menu here with the exception of humanoids. That kind of request will gain you a lifetime ban. Don't be weird. The only one allowed to be weird is Ervin. The restaurant itself is not submerged, allowing for the food to not be soggy. Ore Else Ever seen a dragon swim? Evyt is your classic dragon born, yet, she chooses to live inside of the water city. With daily doses of their underwater potions, she has yet to leave the city since migrating. With special skills and a little magic, she is the only blacksmith within Arcanus Aecor. She can smelt just about any melee weapon one can think of and even imbue it with an element of fire. The Boiling Sea Toward the center of the city, you will find the best spot for rest and relaxation. Well...and booze too. Even the owner, Kai, likes to partake. Being a water sprite in a human sized body has made him forget that alcohol is not friendly to his kind. As long as you can get him off the counter, you will be served some of the best drinks of your life. The Hungry Duck Looking for some amazing seafood cuts? Or even just regular farm meats? Drake has you covered! A family friendly merman who knows his food. From salmon to juicy beef, you can find just the right meat for your dish. Codex The largest library in the city is run by one particular elf. One will never see him outside of his books upon books, but can easily find him with a nose deep into a romantic novel. Vatroca is a curious boy, but a shut in none the less. He welcomes all, old and young, to view his precious collection. Though his largest section has to do with the romances, he has also collected many other types of books. Just gotta look to see if he has what you need! No, the library is not full of water. The building itself is enchanted to protect the books! The Torpedough Yet another shop inside of Arcanus Aecor that is enchanted to be without water. The Torpedough offers the most delicious of baked goods in the city. The owner Flower loves sweet things in particular. Her specialty: A sweet roll filled with whipped cream and topped with sliced strawberries. Spellunking The largest potion shop inside of the water barren city is named Spellunking. Library of Shit Category Simul Quarterly Issue 3 (January 2, 2024) Simul Quarterly Issue 3 (January 2, 2024) Did ya miss me? I bet you did. But have no fear, as it is I, Flynn, back at it again with some Simul News! I just wish it was all good news. It seems there have been some havoc among our citizens. I have done my best to keep you all updated as news reaches my desk here at Coexisting Connections, but I am only one 'person'. I can only do so much. I do appreciate your trust in me, however, and I will continue to do my best! With the unfortunate breaking news stories, it seems that a lot of Simul citizens have been looking down upon those of us who are magic users. Can we really blame them? As 'magical' as this land is, we have always had that tiny line of...suspicion when it comes to the supernatural. I had done my own digging, attempting to find who or what is causing such chaos. I just can't. This will not stop me from trying! We all deserve answers! As much as I could ramble all day about the awful happenings in the dark, I think it's time for a lighter subject. It's finally a new year! You know what that means? Yet another time for us to unite and become one. Simul;s foundation has always been unification against all odds. The whisperings on the winds tell me that is exactly what you good people plan on doing. So, hug your loved ones, share your wealth, and send positive energy out into the world. This year will be Simul's best yet! Oh! Speaking of! One last note before I leave you. A local nobel has decided to be a sort of 'Secret Saint'. Unfortunately, to keep their identity hidden, they haven't had a moment to try and recruit for this special gift. So, I, Flynn, promised to get the word out! Take a gander at the letter below. So, if it is not clear enough here, if you know someone deserving of an all expenses paid home, please write us a letter on Simul Social, or through our mail system, and tag Coexisting Connections, telling us who and why! The Secret Saint will announce the lucky person/family in three days from today! As always, with love, Flynn. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top

  • Occultatum Terra | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Occultatum Terra Occultatum Terra Year 954 Month of Frigus A large earthquake buried this beautiful city. Due to the portal being buried above surface and no other way to make it to the top, the people of Occultatum Terra were unable to repair it. Making due with the beautiful bounty of the inner earth around them, they continued to live, cut off from the world above. Year 10,012 Month of Ceres Yet another massive earthquake has hit Simul. Two portals were uncovered from thousands of years of land mass motion. After discovery, it was found that there was a massive underground city that had yet to see the light of day in hundreds of generations. The people are welcoming, but lack a lot of social skills. Bruma 20th, 10,018 Read the entirety in Simul Quarterly "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice."
