- Mary's Tavern | Kingdom of Simul
Welcome to the Tavern! Mary's Tavern is a notable location among the people of Simul who have any knowledge of the Southern Forest. Most people stumble upon this place as convicts, bounty hunters, and wandering souls. This is not to say that a few normal people haven't been by. However, none have really stayed. The tavern itself sits among the trees, nestled deep as a stand alone establishment. There is a creek not 20 meters away that leads to a lake only a few miles north. There is a main trail that will take you to any of the surrounding towns and villages. Playable "NPC" Ongoing Lore Meet Mary. She is your typical barmaid with the essence of sarcasm built right in! Mary will gladly serve you your drinks and keep the tavern looking sparkling clean. You don't want to get on her bad side though. She has no problem stabbing you with a fork. Current Employees: Aya Lyanna Memorable Mary Moments and Mentions Mary's Outside View First Floor Second Floor Inn Maidens Throughout the Kingdom Of Simul, many of the popular inns are ran by Mary's sisters. These sisters have become known as The Inn Maidens. All of their taverns are nearly identical to Mary's, with the exception of their own personal decor and set-up. Meet Marabell: Owner of the largest tavern in SkyHaven. Do not let her age fool you. Though she is the youngest of the Inn Maidens, Marabell is quick witted and quite fiery. Most of the time, she is as sweet as honey. Marabell's tavern in known for its relaxed atmosphere, homey decor, and the most comfortable beds for miles Marabell This is Marlene. Being one of the middle sisters, she is rather calm and collected. Still as much as a neat freak as the rest, her bar has never been seen a mess. Quiet and soft spoken, Marlene is not much for conversation. Her service is prompt and her tavern is as cozy as the town it sits in; Dry Gulch. Marlene This is the Inn Maiden, Marge. Marge is the eldest of the sisters and runs the largest tavern in Eleutheria. There, you may find rest, drink, and good company. Due to booming business, many local homeless are allowed to stay within its walls if there are extra rooms. Marge is just as kind as she is cleanly. Seems to be a common thing among the Maidens... Marge This is Maggie, the owner of the best tavern in Sudbury. A sweet, caring, strong woman who will murder anyone who spills on the bar counter. Other than that, she is fairly quiet. Or anything else. Just don't. Maggie Believe it or not, this would be Marsha, one of Mary's Inn Maiden sisters. She is also not the eldest. Marge may be much like her sisters in many ways, she has puts on a ruse in order to keep her own life safe. Marsha

Main Trail East West The glory of the forest was revealed in the birthstone-bright light. Almond-brown trees stood serenely, awash with a tender glow. - Wingston | Kingdom of Simul
Wingston This little village is located off the coast of Chester Lake. Close to the capitol of our fair kingdom, Eleutheria, Wingston is usually a short escape from the hustle and bustle of the large castle in the middle of the lake. Starting as mostly a fishing settlement, Wingston has developed into something a little bigger. Cabins and small homes line the water, and it supports the boats to and from Eleutheria. Farms have started cropping up around its edges and a few different businesses have developed over time to bring in some more revenue. Year Incorporated: 633 Population: Approximately 400 Human: 83% Elven: 4% Dwarven: 6% Other: 7% Magically Inclined: Approximately 9% Ongoing Lore (Click) Berry Good Goods A lovely little bakery in the lakeside village of Wingston. It is known for the odd quirk of the baker who runs the shop specializing in berry-related items. Berry cakes, berry ice cream, berry pudding… If it has berries in it, she’s making it! Though the baker, Berlinda, does put things without berries in it on the counter to please the masses… Much to her dismay. Bloody Mary's A butcher’s shop run by a woman named Mary, nicknamed Bloody Mary by the townsfolk. Most people coming in from out of town assume it’s because of the blood that’s constantly on her apron, but rumor among the villagers is that she’s secretly a demon who appears in the mirrors of people who chant her name three times. This is presumably untrue and nothing more than the result of the boredom that comes with living in a small place like this… Or is it? Either way, her cuts are very fine and the meat is guaranteed quality! Is It Tea Time Already? When it’s time for tea, then this is the place to go, even if you’re not from Wingston. Famed for its incredible variety of teas, the shop owner even managing to scrounge up teas from faraway continents, the tea shop is always open from twelve in the morning to twelve in the evening. The owner, Shindra, appears to never sleep. People from Eleutharia love to shop for their teas here, though the exotic stuff can be, as one might expect, pretty expensive. The Trove In the small town of Wingston, there is a partially underground library surprisingly full of books and reading nooks. It is not visited very often as people find themselves busy trying to get to Eleutheria, but it is definitely worth a drop in! The small library is run by a lovely lady named Mrs. Erikson. Family Forge The Family Forge. Where you can find decently made items at even better prices! Run for generations by the Rose family, this blacksmith has been in business since before the war. You will often walk in to see parents teaching their children. Especially little Emma Rose and her father Johnathan. Though the pieces may take a while to be ready, you can be confident that they are made well crafted and well loved. Faith in Faith Wingston may be a small village and located just over the water from Elutheria, but they have a rather popular healer/midwife. Faith has grown quite the reputation among those coming off of the island. Especially those who are often sea sick. With her vast knowledge of the local flora, Faith can make just about any concoction to soothe your ailments.
- Soulstagne | Kingdom of Simul
Soulstagne Purgatory. The in-between. Whatever you may call it, if you have never been dead, you aren’t getting in. Some say the gates are guarded by Lucifer, or even the God of Death himself. Others just think it’s a magical field in which the living cannot enter. Death is a natural part of life...and the souls that reside within are countless. Literally. Those who can enter: Anyone who has died at any given time. Even if life breathes in their veins, if they have crossed over once, they can enter. Soulstagne is NOT a vortex of souls. Should your character have beliefs that decide where their soul arrives after life, then that is where they will end. Soulstagne is an 'in between'. If you wish to have your recently killed character stay here, that is fine. Just remember, they will be ghosts otherwise stated in the death post. If your character comes back as a spirit or ghost or some similar type, they will not be able to leave Soulstagne until resurrected. If they enter already dead or undead (With a body), they can come and go as they please. Year Incorporated: Unknown Other Stats: Unknown Ongoing Lore (Click) Books to Die For A place to buy books… Books from times long past, books freshly printed. You can find the manuscripts of writers who never finished their work, the treaties of kingdoms long past, and other incredibly strange things the dead have left over the thousands of years the world has been turning. The shop is run by a skeleton named Bones who pretends to be a human, wearing the skin of… Someone else. Don’t ask, for he won’t tell. Brainless Benny's Run by a zombie who is missing his entire brain but keeps on chugging, Brainless Benny’s is a tavern that caters to the undead, though it serves the living on the occasion of that time of the year when the living and dead join hands in harmony. Many strange alcohols and foods can be found here, the kind of stuff which honestly would not be out of place in a place like Vex Mora. Ghostly Ores A blacksmithing shop run by a man named Zed, who is known for the quality of his weapons. Of course, all of his weapons are magically enchanted so as to be wield-able by the undead, meaning ghosts. However, he has expressly banned any sort of silver within the grounds of the shop, refusing to work with the material. Given many of the city’s people are weak to the substance, it’s not hard to see why. Ghoulish Delights Ghoulish Delight, one of the highest class restaurants in all of Soulstagne. It is known for serving all sorts of undead and technically not alive individuals, since… Who else would come to eat at a restaurant in Soulstagne? Everything they serve is strange. Food even a ghost can taste, meat that is discerningly similar to human flesh but the owner swears is artificial meat that only tastes like man, and blood for a drink. It also, during that time of the year when Soulstagne opens its doors to mortals, serves “normal food”. The place is run by a man named Geoff Lastover, who nobody can quite manage to figure out what type of undead they’re supposed to be. Potions for Zombies A potion shop that specializes in mixtures that affect the undead. A very popular item is corpse preservation items, since believe it or not skincare isn’t exclusive to the realm of the living. The shop is known even for producing potions that can mimic blood for vampires to consume safely. It is, in fact, run by a vampire, a man named Berlyn. Menu Here Afterlife Midwife A healer’s shop and midwife’s, the healer who runs it specializing in magic that is capable of healing the spirits and bodies of the undead. She is a very kind if quiet woman, supposedly the product of a mad scientist’s experiments who decided on a better path than such insanity. Her name is Franka, and she makes sure a patient never leaves unsatisfied. Though, one has to wonder… How does one deliver the child of an undead? The Aftermind The Aftermind is the oddly named academy that exists within the city of Soulstagne, catering exclusively to the undead. The owner of the academy, Xytharian the Lich, has retired from waging war against the living in other lands to dedicate himself to teaching those whose lives have already ended. After all, even after you’re dead it’s never too late to learn, so long as you have a mind! Biting Bites A butcher’s shop that specifically caters to the needs of the undead. Have an unrelenting hankering for human flesh? Biting Bites has you covered, though they promise the meat they provide isn’t actual human flesh. The owner of Ghoulish Delight is said to get his meat from there, so this is considered trustworthy enough… Hopefully. It is run by a big undead named Borsk.
- Dun'lorn | Kingdom of Simul
Dun'lorn Pray to the honored ancestors for strength, for courage, and for honor! And pray to the Stone when you fall into its cold, rough embrace, that you may stand with our ancestors some day. The dwarven Fortress city of Dun’lorn is one of strange origin and survival. When one speaks of the Dwarves that inhabit the city, only two thoughts would ever come to mind about the groundlings that dwell in the Aldermen Mountains. The first being a story of desperate survival where once a great under-empire once stood beneath the continent of Simul and how city by city, battle by battle, they lost their footholds in the undergrounds and were reduced to something almost akin to the dying grasp of a hopeless soul. The second story being told of a stalwart will to not go quietly into night, an igniting of the fighting spirit of every Dwarf, no matter where they come from being Durgar, or Mountain Dwarf, all standing side by side to defend and reclaim their lost glory. No matter which story you believe, there is to be said that each and every dwarf would die to defend their home. Whether or not one story is true over the other is up to philosophical debate amongst the children of the stone. But one thing's for certain; Every single Dwarf, no matter how tall, no matter from what noble family, no matter what peril they face... all will defend the city to their dying breath. In the last hundred years the last Dwarven Deep Lord the honored Hortigere Cragshaper has forged an alliance with the Kingdom of Simul in a desperate attempt to save the city from starvation thus forging a vassalage with the old King of Simul which the agreement still persist to this day with ruler-ship of Riorji Cragshaper the newest Deep Lord of Dun’lorn. Prices are negotiable, but don't come looking for a steal. Singuroz Stories Velmraela's collection of books is the largest inside of Dun'Lorn. Mostly dwarven, she has the capability to have them translated just for you! There are also ancient texts on the history of Simul before the civilization went underground. Great for those studying their historical roots. The Clumsy Crab Down at The Clumsy Crab, Reindala or one of her beautiful dwarven bar maids will serve you with the largest of smiles. Not just ale and spirits, these ladies can cook up a mean steak! Dwed Healrumm She may not look like much but Nakeani is one of the most talented healers Dun'Lorn has to offer. She only has light magical abilities, but she is highly skilled with primitive measures. She has the room and the will to treat nearly twenty people at a time. Don't shy away if you need treatment! Alkorhilal o Brukag Don't let the young and innocent face of this dwarf fool you. Jaderina is a very old and very experienced chef and works hard to satisfy every customer that walks into her eatery. She mostly serves the best of the best of dwarven cuisine, but has been known to add some human flare. Svot Spot After decades of serving for the Dun'Lorn guard, Douthak decided he wanted to try something completely different. That is how Svot Spot was born. Not only is he handy with a sword, but Douthak can throw down some amazing pastries and cakes. While visiting the secluded city, don't forget to drop by and try it out! Karaad Ord He may be a dwarf without a beard, but Hirdren can craft with the best of them. It really is his saving grace from the constant reminder that he has no facial hair..like a man. Dwarves are known for their amazing metal work, and none within the walls of Dun'Lorn have been able to craft as well as Hidren.

- Curet Insula | Kingdom of Simul
Curet Insula For generations, Simulians have avoided the islands to the west of the mainland. Why? Because of the story of Reginald Harris. Reginald, as the explorer he was, found himself quite curious as to what lay on the islands. He had tried to see with his own eyes, along with magical sight offered from various mages. Despite the warning he received, Reginal Harris was a man of adventure....and adventure he did. What he told of the animalistic people of the islands is still passed as a warning today. Within the island of Curet Insula lies a people of very feral history. Throughout time, they have had no contact with people outside of their islands, and actually preferred it that way. Despite this, one of their own was curious enough to venture out to the mainland of Simul. Within months, the islands integrated into Simul and travel has become prevalent. Though, the locals of Curet Insula like to keep their primitive area as original as possible, so one will not find cities, but more small communities and tribes. All are welcomed by the 'mostly' friendly people of Curet Insula...as long as you are humble to them in return. Currently, the bridge from the mainland to the islands has been under constant attack, preventing travel on foot to and from the community. Temples of Unity Simul: Latin for Coexist. That is an ideal the royal family, for generations, has upheld. After the War of Brothers, the Temples of Unity were established. An island comprised of temples and shrines of many different worships, where the masses could worship and praise as one. The main and largest of the buildings house the main religions of Simul, however, there are many smaller establishments built by others who have come to the kingdom in order to share their own religions. One could easily assume there is a temple, church, or some sort of place of worship for nearly any religion. On the northern island, anyone can come and go as they please. Stay as long as you like. There is a massive bridge from the mainland to the island to make getting on the island easier for visitors. It is a long walk, but most opt to do it just to witness the ocean and mountains in contrast. Nearly 500 different priests, priestesses, monks, fathers and sisters and healers call the island home.
