As much as I would love to not have to relay this information, it is my duty to keep you all informed and as safe as I can. With that, I must weave together the details of last night’s horrors. Before the sun began to descend, something else fell upon our great kingdom. From what we can gather, the first attack was in Korrig. Despite the docks already having taken a major hit, it appears the assailants decided they needed to come back to finish the job. Unfortunately, the structures are a complete loss. Even worse, it has been reported that more than 20 people are still missing while the casualties are nearing the same number and injuries have topped 33. From what we can tell, the next attack was shortly thereafter in Timberholde. Every city entrance was reportedly blown apart and virtually sealing the city inside of itself. This also included grave damage to the newest addition, the train. The station and surrounding area have been destroyed beyond repair. Casualties have reached 67, more than 40 have been injured and another 17 are still missing. Another attack mere hours after came in the form of another explosion. This one took out the entirety of the bridge from the mainland to Curet Insula. No fatalities have been reported, but it has only been a few hours since receiving the news and searches are still in effect. I wish I could say that I have reported everything. I wish I could tell you great people that we can recover from this. I wish I had the magic words…something to give you all hope. Unfortunately, with this last piece of information I have to bear, I cannot fathom how we are to unite. At just past 8 last night, Eleutheria and our royal family was attacked. According to the guards and surviving staff, nothing was out of the ordinary until they heard Hilda scream and then what sounded like a man being tortured. This man is assumed to be King Alfred. Apparently, shortly after, a fire broke out, causing many of the people who also lived in the castle to flee with little to nothing to the second story of the city. Still, 13 are missing and feared dead. The royal family was never located, even after the fire was quelled. There was but a note left at the scene. This note had a confession and confessions to more crimes that were, unfortunately, confirmed this morning. The entire Fortescue bloodline has been murdered. Sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandfathers and grandmothers… all of the bloodline has been taken from Simul in the most horrid of ways. Pulchra Viridi On your travels eastward out of Sterilis, you will eventually find yourself smacked by the sight of lush green. It may be a beautiful jungle like area, however, none but the brave have made their home inside. While traversing through the gorgeous trunks and humid air, even the most absent minded could easily locate the sturdy homes built by the aforementioned. Since the area is so dense, most who have attempted to live in the jungle have found they must share the space with the local wild life contained. Pulchra Viridi is a sight to see, just keep in mind that even the most seasoned of travelers make sure to pack appropriately. The land is not dangerous, per say, however, it is very easy to get lost in the thick. Wingston This little village is located off the coast of Chester Lake. Close to the capitol of our fair kingdom, Eleutheria, Wingston is usually a short escape from the hustle and bustle of the large castle in the middle of the lake. Starting as mostly a fishing settlement, Wingston has developed into something a little bigger. Cabins and small homes line the water, and it supports the boats to and from Eleutheria. Farms have started cropping up around its edges and a few different businesses have developed over time to bring in some more revenue. It is known for the odd quirk of the baker who runs the shop specializing in berry-related items. Berry cakes, berry ice cream, berry pudding… If it has berries in it, she’s making it! Though the baker, Berlinda, does put things without berries in it on the counter to please the masses… Much to her dismay. Bloody Mary's A butcher’s shop run by a woman named Mary, nicknamed Bloody Mary by the townsfolk. Most people coming in from out of town assume it’s because of the blood that’s constantly on her apron, but rumor among the villagers is that she’s secretly a demon who appears in the mirrors of people who chant her name three times. This is presumably untrue and nothing more than the result of the boredom that comes with living in a small place like this… Or is it? Either way, her cuts are very fine and the meat is guaranteed quality! Is It Tea Time Already? When it’s time for tea, then this is the place to go, even if you’re not from Wingston. Famed for its incredible variety of teas, the shop owner even managing to scrounge up teas from faraway continents, the tea shop is always open from twelve in the morning to twelve in the evening. The owner, Shindra, appears to never sleep. People from Eleutharia love to shop for their teas here, though the exotic stuff can be, as one might expect, pretty expensive. The Trove In the small town of Wingston, there is a partially underground library surprisingly full of books and reading nooks. It is not visited very often as people find themselves busy trying to get to Eleutheria, but it is definitely worth a drop in! The small library is run by a lovely lady named Mrs. Erikson. Family Forge The Family Forge. Where you can find decently made items at even better prices! Run for generations by the Rose family, this blacksmith has been in business since before the war. You will often walk in to see parents teaching their children. Especially little Emma Rose and her father Johnathan. Though the pieces may take a while to be ready, you can be confident that they are made well crafted and well loved. Faith in Faith Wingston may be a small village and located just over the water from Elutheria, but they have a rather popular healer/midwife. Faith has grown quite the reputation among those coming off of the island. Especially those who are often sea sick. With her vast knowledge of the local flora, Faith can make just about any concoction to soothe your ailments.
