Library of Shit Category BREAKING NEWS (January 14, 2024) BREAKING NEWS (January 14, 2024) BREAKING NEWS As someone who is magical, I find myself very concerned with the recent breaking stories we have had to covere here at Coexisiting Connections. But it is my duty to keep the people of Simul informed, and I will always keep that promise. Less than 24 hours ago, it was brought to our attention that there was a murder in Gao Shan. 32 year old Yang Da of Gao Shan was murdered in his back garden. According to GSP, Yang was shoveling a path to his back shed when he was attacked. Witnesses stated they they had heard the screams of the young man. One neighbor said they had rushed outside and saw Yang being attacked by an unnamed assailant dressed in dark robes that masked their face. However, it was also reported that the attacker had used a fire magic. "All I saw was fire coming from their hands while they punched and kicked Mr. Da. I tried to climb the gate, but I was too late. The murderer sprouted wings and disappeared into the sky!" GSP ask for the people to keep a vigilant stance and report anything suspect. Our condolences go out to Yang's family. Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Concordia Years 9401 and on During the war of brother and brother, the people of Concordia were called to aid the light. Most of the people died out, the rest stayed in Eleutheria. Their blood lines were bred to nearly nill, leaving their powers about the same of those who came from it. Year 10,012 Month of Ver With the impending invasion of the Lich King, Sidisi, King Alfred Fortescue called forth many people he considered powerful or noble. One of which being Silver Drafaylum. The two came to an agreement to let Silver use the lands of Concordia to build upon for troops from Silver's home realm. This included snow elves mostly. Seemingly overnight, the city was rebuilt. Now it is home to thousands of elves. All are welcome, however. Messis 2, 10,017 Read more in BREAKING NEWS Laughter and merriment could be heard throughout the kingdom as the farmers were once again celebrating another good harvest. Food and drink flowed freely as the unsuspecting people of Simul were watched from the shadows. Hooded figures lurked just outside of anyone's sight, their eyes set on one target; the very food the farmers were celebrating . Not just what they had harvested already, but all of their fields. Every piece of wheat, bean, or ear of corn was doomed. The robed figures kept watch just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They waited until almost everyone had gone to sleep. Those that remained in the fields or the barns were too drunk to notice anything. Even if they had been sober, they would not be able to stop what was about to happen. Once the robed figures felt it was time to move, they did . Flames roared to life around them to burn every last plant to cinders. Nothing was spared. Nothing. Anything and everything that stood in their way burned with the precious crops. Enough food for dozens of families turned to ash before anyone realized what was going on. The smell of smoke and the sound of roaring flames pulled everyone from their beds. Horror and panic hit everyone who witnessed it. Men, women and children all did what they could to put out the flames...though, their efforts were in vain. The heat from the fires evaporated the water before it could even reach the flames. Screams for water...screams for help. Many could even be heard calling out to the mages they had shunned. Asking... no, begging for help. Those that could have helped cowered behind their locked doors, fearful of what could happen if they rendered aide. Great numbers of magical and non-human beings fled from their homes as registrations became more common, alongside the growing racism against them, leaving the human communities more vulnerable than they had ever dreamed. This was not an isolated incident; farms across the kingdom were burned. Dry Gulch, SkyHaven, Subury, Wingston, Timberholde, Ferax Villum, and even Concordia were hit alongside multiple other villages and farming areas. It was almost the same story at every farm that was burning: Those that could have helped refused. A small few cities managed to save food. Their mages were quick to respond and quell as many of the fires as they could. However, even with their quick actions, much of their food was destroyed. What could be salvaged was inventoried and stored in the safest places people could find. Alongside the massive loss to the winter food supply, hundreds of people and livestock were also slain. The countless lives and resources that were lost in the night left all that witnessed the horrors of it choking on the smoke and ash of their dreams . What witnesses hoped was a sick nightmare was revealed to be anything but. The nightmare was real and no one knew what to do. Cries of sorrow and a strange letter filled the air. The letter was simply written on paper bearing the Guardian's seal; “We of the CONGREGATION will not be silent. If the King won't hear our cries, we will make him. We will starve him out if we have to, along with anyone else who would follow his laws.” The news of all the fires across the kingdom had the streets of Eleutheria humming with hectic whispers or outright blame against magic users. Conspiracy theories about what happened spread like wildfire; The letters from the “CONGREGATION”, and the Guardians had everyone terrified. They were all looking to Ferren for answers. No word came for hours, confirming for the people that what happened was far worse than before. Eventually, Ferren emerged from the castle to stand on the highest balcony of the capitol. His normally charismatic voice was filled with sadness as it echoed through the heart of Simul. Even his appearance suggested he had not slept. His clothes were a rumbled mess and his hair was far from tamed. Redness surrounded his eyes from intense crying. “It is with a heavy heart that I address you all in such a manner. I am sure you have all heard the news by now. Our kingdom…has suffered a tremendous loss. The crops that normally sustain us through the long winter have been destroyed. Burned to a crisp alongside the brave men and women who tried to stop the inferno. Their sacrifice ensured that everyone could gather and defeat our oldest of foes. The cause of the fires is still unknown but we believe it to be a series of horrible accidents. I would love nothing more than to believe that, but with witnesses coming forward, it has been apparent that the attacks were perpetrated by magic users. The best people we have are looking to find the cause of what caused this tragedy…” Ferren's voice cracked as more mist threatened to fall from his eyes, the acting king haphazardly wiped away the tears that never fell as he tried to compose himself. He kept his face hidden for a few minutes in silence before he moved his hands to speak again. “We can move on from this tragedy as one but I need the help of every Simulian. We do not have enough food for the winter. As of today, all food is to be brought here to Eleutheria so it can be rationed out appropriately. All are welcome to come and get your daily meals. Those of you traveling great distances will be allowed to get enough for a few days. Every month, we will be shipping out ration bundles to each city and community to sustain. All magical beings wanting their rations are required to provide their registrations. This is to keep us all safe and uphold peace of mind. We have also decided to place a special barrier around the capitol to help further protect the food we will all need to survive. It kills me to have to do this to you all. Rationing will leave us all hungry as we try our best to make it through these trying times. I encourage everyone to do what they can to provide for their families. If you have extra, please give it to those that need it more than you. Hunters, share your bounties as you get them. Farmers that have lost their crops should reach out to us. We can provide seed to hopefully grow something before the cold seasons hit. We will make it through and come out better for it. May the Gods bless us and help usher us through the trials they felt, we as a people, needed to endure.” "If you have any questions relating to the recent events, any citizen of Simul is welcome to write to me directly. You may also tag Malum Distantia via Simul Social. Please Simul, love thy neighbor as they were your own family. We will succeed." OOC Note: Concordia, as a whole, refused to follow these orders. This lead to the city being marched upon by the Siphon Mages and forced to provide 80% of their stores which were brought to Eleutheria. - Calendar and Holidays | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Lore Stuff Calendar and Holidays Calendar and Holidays Simul Calendar Send Frigus Finne Anni Vale Date: Frigus 28th The end of every year is a meaningful occasion for those who have made Simul their home. This is a time of atonement and forgiveness. Most of all, self appreciation. Instead of a large festival or celebration, the people of the land stay home, with their families or companions, and spend time together. Before the end of the night happens, each and every one will write their own letters to themselves. Confessing sins, making wishes, letting go of regrets....all upon one sheet of parchment. Setting these letters ablaze, this is symbolic of letting go of the past and looking forward to the future. Send Nivalis Festival of The Hunter's Moon Date: Nivalis 1st Without the farms to mass produce fresh food during the winter months, the people of Simul have come to find, sending out the strongest of their hunters to provide for the nearest cities. With the abundance of wildlife, the people of Simul never go hungry, even those considered homeless and wanderers. Taking to the mountain ranges and far forests, it is usually the goal of the hunters to reduce the populations of larger beasts. Though, the beasts replenish their numbers come spring mating season. PERMANENT LORE EVENT Send Ceres Canto Mortuus Date: Ceres 13th Once per year, on the 13th of Ceres, the dead are allowed to come from their confines of Soulstagne. The barrier surrounding the City of The Dead melts away, allowing those residing within to walk upon the land of the living. In turn, those living can enter the grounds of Soulstagne. "Everyone who enters must wear a mask. For the dead can become envious of the living and become vengeful in the night of celebration." This is an ancient tradition, passed down by the first living person to enter the city of the damned. Over time, it has transformed into something a bit more than just masks. Some will even dress up wholly in costumes, and come to bear gifts. Some Simulians even celebrate the tradition outside of Soulstagne. Dressing up and celebrating the dead from the comfort of their homes. Those who know and celebrate this bittersweet occasion keep well note of time, for as soon as one week is up, those who are dead must return, or have their soul banished to an afterlife unsavory. Those who still have a heartbeat must leave the grounds in order to keep it. PERMANENT LORE EVENT Send Sumo Weekend of Voyagers Date: Sumo 13-15 Every year, Simulians do their best to travel as much as possible. The massive kingdom has always been difficult to traverse, giving those with more 'fast travel' equipment and abilities great opportunities to create businesses focused on such. It was only a matter of time before someone saw this issue for the poor and natural and created a solution. In the year 10,012, a man by the name of Orion G ursk decided it was time. With his magics in hand and a sharp mind, he went to work creating portal stones scattered throughout the land. Without a toll, these traveling devices have made it incredibly easy to people to travel all over the land in the blink of an eye. Since, citizens of Simul have started a tradition of celebrating the ability to travel at least once a year to reconnect with long lost friends, families and locations. It has slowly developed into a holiday in it's own and one can easily hear stories from those who partake throughout Simul during this particular weekend. Send Messis Festival of The Setting Sun Date: Messis 1st Yet again, harvest envelopes Simul land. This harvest is a big deal for those who call this kingdom home. For this is the final harvest of the year before Mother Nature coats the lush earth in white. With abundance of goods, the farmers and merchants from all over once again travel to the city of Timberholde for trade. The turn out is usually much larger than the Festival of The Scorching Sun, as it is the last opportunity to get fresh produce and meats and the like before the cold hits. There is always a celebration during the nights, as the festival can last upwards of a month, leaving the people of Timberholde to clean up. They don't mind though, as they are proud of their city. Send Ignis Send Calor Crustacean Infestation Date: Calor 11th through 16th KILL THE FOOKIN' CRABS PERMANENT LORE EVENT Protector's Day Date: Calor 25th The name of this holiday leaves little to the imagination, yet it is a very widely celebrated holiday. Often, the people of Simul will take a day in the middle of the week off in order to celebrate and praise those in the protection career path. Guardians, guards, constables, military and the like are regarded with the utmost of respect, especially on Protector's Day. Being celebrated so closely after the yearly infestation, many will take to offering gifts of food, drink and free room and board in local taverns and pubs in order to show their thanks to those who put their lives on the line. Don't forget to thank a local hero! Send Aestus Festival of The Scorching Sun Aestus 1st As the land warms up, and harvests begin for the beginning of the year, Simul celebrates with a Festival of The Scorching Sun. Giving thanks to whatever gods individuals see fit, the festival usually centers itself in the massive city of Timberholde. During the day, trades happen. Sharing goods from all over the land. Vendors lining the streets. Merchants looking to not only sell, but to trade and bargain for breads they can only enjoy so often. By night, the streets are still lined, but with more fire and dancing and music as bards trade lyrics and cords. The Scorching Sun Festival lasts anywhere between one week to an entire month, depending on the luck of the harvests. Send Stirps The Festival of Unity Stirps 7th A festival set on the anniversary of the integration of Dun'lorn and its entrance as an official city within the Kingdom. The festival is held on the great plateau outside the main gate leading into the city where all citizens of the empire are encouraged to go and see first hand the the culture beneath the stone to buy and sell their wares and to partake in dwarven cuisine. Every year, there is a special tournament held within the walls, and the victor receives the best of the best prizes and treatment throughout the festival. PERMANENT LORE EVENT Send Dissilio Merryman's Day Date: Dissilio 2nd Do you consider yourself a prankster? Perhaps someone who enjoys a good joke? Either way, Merryman's Day may just be your favorite holiday! For generations, the people of Simul have celebrated this holiday in elaborate and highly entertaining ways. This is not to say that some people do not take it too far, but the holiday itself is based on good, clean fun. Be prepared! If you dare show your face in public, you may just be the recipient of a prank and a rolling belly laugh! Send Ver Festival of the The Rising Sun Date: Ver 1st Every year, the people of Simul celebrate The Rising Sun, their version of Spring. During this Festival, that lasts three days, people gather in whatever city they reside in, or are near, where they will put into practice the premise of Simulian morals: Giving. From the pantries of homes, people bring forth the food they have horded all winter, and share what they have left with those less fortunate. Of course, everyone gets to eat, but the children and elderly feast first! Send Bruma Lux Amare Date: Bruma 8th A day of love, friendship, and family. Seen more as a romantic holiday, Lux Amare is often celebrated at home with spouses or lovers. Gifts of flowers, sweets and gorgeous garments are a preferred method, though some opt to going out on the town, holding hands, and professing their love. Lux Amare would generally be seen as a joyous day in which to wed, even with the winter still looming overhead. PERMANENT LORE EVENT Send Hiems Kinsfolk Day Date: Hiems 22nd With a new year comes new goals and new beginnings. As with most of the holidays and celebrations that are honored throughout Simul, Kinsfolk Day is a day of harmony. Many people have taken to traveling to locations that they can share with family, even if for only a day. While spending time with those closest, Simulians tend to bring gifts and calm vibes in order to keep the smooth transition into a new year as fluid as possible. This is a great time to make amends, put to rest stress and create a tranquil start to another week of life. No Updates Yet Most Recent Update November 13, 2025 Views Back to Top

Library of Shit Lore Stuff Constellations Constellations #starchart #sky #skymap #constellations #zodiac Moons Simul has two moons. They are placed, from an eye on land, about a half foot (6 in/15.24 cm) from each other. Both moons, such close in proximity, to give the same status/stage in the night sky. The moon that sits more northern carries the name Fax while the southern moon wears the name Furvus. Send Strength Taking the shape of a battle axe, the constellation Strength is believed to be a manifestation of the word itself. Made up of 5 stars, it is often seen in the eastern sky. Send The Sea The clam in the sky is said to be a symbol of what the oceans surrounding Simul speak to the land. Offering food and peace and protection, just as the shell for the sensitive flesh within. Send AfterLife Stories claim that in the northern sky, you can make out the skull of a diety. Send Dark and Light 6 stars make up this beautiful infinity symbol, reminding those who find it of their beliefs in Salus and Malus. Darkness and Light. Good and evil. Necessary matchmaking in fate. South east is where it lays, brighter than most other constellations. Send Compassion It is said that Eros himself attempted to draw a heart into the sky. With his unsteady hands, it turned sideways and fell to the western sky. Still, those who gaze at the messy 5 star construct are filled with a sense of love. Send The Travel Somewhere south of the Tree lays The Travel constellation. The 12 star mass takes the shape of an unclosed circle, helping those that peer upon it to envision a continuous trek into the unknown. Send Knowledge Looking to the northeastern sky, one will find the constellation Knowledge. Resembling an open book, most like to peer among the 5 star cluster with wonder filled eyes. - BREAKING NEWS (Arbrestor) | Kingdom of Simul
Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 BREAKING NEWS (Arbrestor) Panic on the northern coast this morning, dear Simul. News coming out of Arbrestor is haunting. According to authorities, during the early morning hours, before sunrise, a group of ten or more assailants descended upon the docks that provide great resource to our kingdom. What seemed to be a fair amount of tourists quickly turned into a horrific display of fire and acid type magics. Some witnesses that survived reported seeing a line of people taking steps in tandem toward the docks, aiming for where the most ships were housed before eruptions of flames and some sort of caustic mist. From what I could decipher from the reports given, these people appeared to be magics of some sort, robed in cloth that is eerily close to the description of the other attacks of late. Unfortunately, there are not description of the faces, only the numbers and the robes. As of this afternoon, it has been reported that there are 56 injured, 13 dead and over 40 still missing. The King, Alfred Fortescue, has put out a statement: "Dear Citizens Of Simul, The news of yet another tragedy in our kingdom brings me more than just sadness. As your king, it is my job to make sure you are all safe, sound, and healthy. I am doing my best to make sure these things stay true til the end of my time and another takes my place. I am sending aide in the form of money, food, and people to every area that has been affected. We are organizing forces to also aide in security in our most vulnerable cities and towns. If you have been affected by hardship, please reach out to the incoming forces and you will be helped in any way we can. Please, stay safe Simul. We WILL overcome this. We WILL defeat this evil." Library of Shit Archived/Retired Tristis Miser Tristis Miser Date and Time: 5-27-22 (Staff Start) til End Have you ever been depressed? Angry? Off the handle, as some would put it? Have you ever wondered why? Searched for an answer despite it feeling so hopeless to do so? Well, how about a surprise like no other? Let's be depressed and angry and anti-social together! If you answered no to any or all of the above, it is really going to suck to be you in about...two more paragraphs. Imagine: You live in Simul. You are minding your own business. The summer months have finally come and life is bursting across the land. Since the Timberholde Incident (tm), things have been relatively quiet. Right? Riiiiiight? Let's change that. One sunny day during the beginning of the warmer season, you are walking around town or exploring or perhaps murdering a group of skeletons, and you feel something reeeeally warm attach to one of your limbs. Peering upon said warmth, you spot a black, fuzzy ball that seems to have not even a mouth. Freaky much? Abso-fucking-lutely . Unfortunately, no matter how much you shake and throw that ass in a circle, this damned thing won't fall off. Worse yet? The closer you examine this little parasite, the more you realize it is in fact...just that. A singular claw, sunken into your flesh/shell/armor or what else have you, burying deep within your muscle/fat (Don't argue). As much as you pull and yank, this damn thing just won't come off! Does it get worse? Of fucking course it does. Because, the longer the little fucker stays stuck to you, the worse you feel. Depression would be easy considering the awful feelings and emotions and outbursts to come. Every day will become hard. Every action you will literally have to force your body to commit. Every word will feel like vomit falling from your lips. Life simply...will become the hardest thing you will ever have to do. There is one question burning on everyone's mind. Can it be cured? Perhaps the answer will bring a tiny little sliver of hope to your mind. Yes. There is a cure. How do you attain such? Within yourself. That's fucking right! YOU will have to find a reason to LIVE. Will you find it before you lose all hope or hurt someone? Or will you succumb to the evil brewing within. How the Event will run: ~On the date, a staff member will type the words "Event Started" in the events channel. ~If you choose to have a character or multiple take part in this awful experience, you will roll 1d100 in the bot spam channel, labeled with what character it is. Edited rolls will not count. Please roll with the name. Use it to bring the chaos or use it to be a depresso espresso. Whatever you like! ~Once the creature has died, it will shrivel and disappear ~You CAN have a singular character be the victim of more than one of these things at the same time, but each one needs its own number ~If a character has 3 or more of these attached, and manages to defeat 3 or more, please ping staff in the suggest and discuss channel in order to receive your brand new custom role title of "Espresso-ed the Depresso-2022" ~These creatures are about the size of a newborn: 6-9 pounds ~These creatures will latch onto limbs mostly, but will aim for any part of the body Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top
