  • Skyhaven | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Skyhaven In the year of 10,001, month of Aestus, a massive tragedy struck the Kingdom of Simul. Many years ago, the demon that had destroyed Wish Well had continued its path of destruction to anything surrounding. The closest city was next on its list. SkyHaven. Before the sun could peek over the mountains and warm the windows of homes, SkyHaven was hit with what could only be described as...a plague of destruction. It began to destroy anything in its wake. Homes. Shops. People....Anything it could sink its power into was immediately obliterated. ...That was when the people took action. Grabbing whatever weapons they could, and preparing their spells, they created a wall that the singular demon could not break through on its own. In a bright display of agony, the demon failed. But not before the destruction had already taken hold. It had successfully taken out nearly half of the city. Still, not nearly enough for the people to give up. The demon soon disappeared, leaving SkyHaven to only tell the tales of what they think happened and to rebuild their homes. Messis 2, 10,017 Read more in BREAKING NEWS Laughter and merriment could be heard throughout the kingdom as the farmers were once again celebrating another good harvest. Food and drink flowed freely as the unsuspecting people of Simul were watched from the shadows. Hooded figures lurked just outside of anyone's sight, their eyes set on one target; the very food the farmers were celebrating . Not just what they had harvested already, but all of their fields. Every piece of wheat, bean, or ear of corn was doomed. The robed figures kept watch just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They waited until almost everyone had gone to sleep. Those that remained in the fields or the barns were too drunk to notice anything. Even if they had been sober, they would not be able to stop what was about to happen. Once the robed figures felt it was time to move, they did . Flames roared to life around them to burn every last plant to cinders. Nothing was spared. Nothing. Anything and everything that stood in their way burned with the precious crops. Enough food for dozens of families turned to ash before anyone realized what was going on. The smell of smoke and the sound of roaring flames pulled everyone from their beds. Horror and panic hit everyone who witnessed it. Men, women and children all did what they could to put out the flames...though, their efforts were in vain. The heat from the fires evaporated the water before it could even reach the flames. Screams for water...screams for help. Many could even be heard calling out to the mages they had shunned. Asking... no, begging for help. Those that could have helped cowered behind their locked doors, fearful of what could happen if they rendered aide. Great numbers of magical and non-human beings fled from their homes as registrations became more common, alongside the growing racism against them, leaving the human communities more vulnerable than they had ever dreamed. This was not an isolated incident; farms across the kingdom were burned. Dry Gulch, SkyHaven, Subury, Wingston, Timberholde, Ferax Villum, and even Concordia were hit alongside multiple other villages and farming areas. It was almost the same story at every farm that was burning: Those that could have helped refused. A small few cities managed to save food. Their mages were quick to respond and quell as many of the fires as they could. However, even with their quick actions, much of their food was destroyed. What could be salvaged was inventoried and stored in the safest places people could find. Alongside the massive loss to the winter food supply, hundreds of people and livestock were also slain. The countless lives and resources that were lost in the night left all that witnessed the horrors of it choking on the smoke and ash of their dreams . What witnesses hoped was a sick nightmare was revealed to be anything but. The nightmare was real and no one knew what to do. Cries of sorrow and a strange letter filled the air. The letter was simply written on paper bearing the Guardian's seal; “We of the CONGREGATION will not be silent. If the King won't hear our cries, we will make him. We will starve him out if we have to, along with anyone else who would follow his laws.” The news of all the fires across the kingdom had the streets of Eleutheria humming with hectic whispers or outright blame against magic users. Conspiracy theories about what happened spread like wildfire; The letters from the “CONGREGATION”, and the Guardians had everyone terrified. They were all looking to Ferren for answers. No word came for hours, confirming for the people that what happened was far worse than before. Eventually, Ferren emerged from the castle to stand on the highest balcony of the capitol. His normally charismatic voice was filled with sadness as it echoed through the heart of Simul. Even his appearance suggested he had not slept. His clothes were a rumbled mess and his hair was far from tamed. Redness surrounded his eyes from intense crying. “It is with a heavy heart that I address you all in such a manner. I am sure you have all heard the news by now. Our kingdom…has suffered a tremendous loss. The crops that normally sustain us through the long winter have been destroyed. Burned to a crisp alongside the brave men and women who tried to stop the inferno. Their sacrifice ensured that everyone could gather and defeat our oldest of foes. The cause of the fires is still unknown but we believe it to be a series of horrible accidents. I would love nothing more than to believe that, but with witnesses coming forward, it has been apparent that the attacks were perpetrated by magic users. The best people we have are looking to find the cause of what caused this tragedy…” Ferren's voice cracked as more mist threatened to fall from his eyes, the acting king haphazardly wiped away the tears that never fell as he tried to compose himself. He kept his face hidden for a few minutes in silence before he moved his hands to speak again. “We can move on from this tragedy as one but I need the help of every Simulian. We do not have enough food for the winter. As of today, all food is to be brought here to Eleutheria so it can be rationed out appropriately. All are welcome to come and get your daily meals. Those of you traveling great distances will be allowed to get enough for a few days. Every month, we will be shipping out ration bundles to each city and community to sustain. All magical beings wanting their rations are required to provide their registrations. This is to keep us all safe and uphold peace of mind. We have also decided to place a special barrier around the capitol to help further protect the food we will all need to survive. It kills me to have to do this to you all. Rationing will leave us all hungry as we try our best to make it through these trying times. I encourage everyone to do what they can to provide for their families. If you have extra, please give it to those that need it more than you. Hunters, share your bounties as you get them. Farmers that have lost their crops should reach out to us. We can provide seed to hopefully grow something before the cold seasons hit. We will make it through and come out better for it. May the Gods bless us and help usher us through the trials they felt, we as a people, needed to endure.” "If you have any questions relating to the recent events, any citizen of Simul is welcome to write to me directly. You may also tag Malum Distantia via Simul Social. Please Simul, love thy neighbor as they were your own family. We will succeed." OOC Note: SkyHaven, as a whole, refused to follow these orders. This lead to the city being marched upon by the Siphon Mages and forced to provide 80% of their stores which were brought to Eleutheria. • Simul Quartlery - Bruma 20th, 10,018 | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Simul Quartlery - Bruma 20th, 10,018 Simul Quartlery - Bruma 20th, 10,018 Greetings Dear Simulians, It is my honor to bring you the most recent news possible. Stay in the know, Simul, and keep yourselves, your families and friends safe and healthy! The winter months are starting to come to an end, albeit, with some cold fronts still moving in. Ferren and our capitol are still making sure every soul is fed and warm, even while we send aide toward Korrig and Dry Gulch to get the ports and trade running again. We do appreciate all of your patience while this is being accomplished. Please keep an eye out for your neighbors, friends. We are all in this together. On a more serious note, recent numbers of registrations have brought to light that there are still those who would rather hold onto some sort of 'freedom' rather than make their fellow humanoids comfortable. As much as we understand that registering all magic and items associated, we must come together in order to save lives. Yes, the processes and laws being passed may seem inconvenient and invading, but it is for the betterment of Simul. With this being said, Ferren has made an announcement that there will be more a presence of the King's Guard posted around Simul. Please carry your registrations at all times, as failing to provide identification can and will lead to, and not limited to, imprisonment and fines. Keep your eyes peeled, Simul. This new law has been implemented due to more attacks and senseless killings that have been reported to the capitol. According to witnesses and subsequent investigations, there have been a total of three different attacks on Simul soil in the last week with a death toll of 76. Each and every attack has been associated with the mysterious robed figures as well as heavy use of magics. Alongside of implementation of the new laws and guards, the following statements have come directly from our new fearless leader, Ferren: "All magic academies/schools will now be under heavy scrutiny and guard. As of now, all magic schools must close their doors to operations, effective immediately. Unfortunately, until all residents inside of our kingdom are registered, we must contain all magic use to the best of our abilities. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." "Portals to the 'outside' cities will be cut off from the mainland, effective immediately. Due to the lack of cooperation from Arcanus Aecor, Occultatem Terra, and Astu Aether, the capitol has decided, for the moment, that it is best to shut the portals down. Any and all rations that are needed for survival will be transported by the King's Guard once per month until each city can contain itself or they comply. This also stands for the islands of Curet Insula. Since the obliteration of the bridge that connected both lands, it has been decided to keep the severance until further notice." "Simul's food stores have been raided. This will cause more chaos than necessary. Please, be patient and have faith in your new capitol leaders during this trying time. In less than two months, crops should be back in the swing. With our efforts in saving our docks and trade cities, we hope that there will be an easier time feeding all. Please continue to fetch your rations in a timely manner. If you have any suggestions on how to stretch your food, share on Simul Social for your fellow neighbors." On our final note, we here at Coexisting Connections ask that you report anything suspicious. Keep your telegems close. Record everything. Report everything. The only way we strive is to survive, and we are going to strive, Simul. This is Lucius Scarletwound, reporting the news. Stay safe Simul. • Local News (Stirps 11th, 10,017) | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Local News (Stirps 11th, 10,017) Local News (Stirps 11th, 10,017) Hello and welcome to the brand new Local News Station here at Coexisting Connections! My name is Lucius Scarletwound and I am here to bring you the news as often as necessary. Thanks for your continuous support! Today marks about three weeks since registrations for magics has begun and though Simul has been incredibly helpful in this endeavor, we want to remind everyone of what our goals are. Community: Under this law, all Simul citizens will abide by a new curfew. This law only stands in city limits. Until the perpetrators of the crimes against Simul have been found and punished, the curfew will stand between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM. All citizens must be inside between these hours. All businesses inside of city limits must adjust their hours accordingly. All businesses will be compensated by the Royal Fund with proper documentation of loss of revenue. All requests must be sent to Ferren Drebek, Royal Quarters, Eleutheria. Safety: Until a new royal family can be assigned, Siphoning Mages have been increased in order to be disbursed throughout Simul. Every major city and landmark will now be equipped with roaming Siphoning Mages to patrol the area. This is for the safety of our people. Until the crime has been quelled, Siphoning Mages will make their homes among the people. If you would like to house a Mage, please contact the Royal Quarters in order to set a meeting and be qualified. Any and all who offer aid will be compensated for their time, room and board. Trust: Any and all magical technology and persons (Non-Humans or Magical Humans) must register their abilities and capabilities. Alongside the Siphoning Mages, groups of Treasurers will accompany them in order to survey the populace. This may seem a bit invasive, but this is for the safety of all. Those who have taken lives and caused suffrage have yet to be brought to justice. Until that time, for the peace of mind of every soul, we must be open about who we all are. Any persons or items found to not be registered will immediately be confiscated and/or jailed until proper paperwork is obtained. From the date of this article, all persons/items must be registered within the next 7 days. Persons registered will have a card designated to them which must be on their person at all times for identification purposes. You can register at your local post office or main city entrances. There will be temporary offices designated for this purpose. Vigilance: This is not a new law, but more a warning for citizens. If you see something or someone magical, please use caution. Do not treat your fellow man any differently, however! That is not what we are doing here. We just want people to be safe and secure. This is why Identification Cards will be provided. If someone magical refuses to identify themselves, or have proper paperwork for magical items, please contact your local authorities. It may just be that they did not see the announcements. You will be doing them a favor! The faster we identify those with magic, the faster we can find and deal with the assailants on our land. Thank you so much to those who have already registered yourselves and your items. For those who still have not, the deadline may have passed, but we are still traveling the lands in order to make the transition much easier. As of this day, Sudbury is the only city that has no office in order to register. Unfortunately, communication between the Ferren Force and the local leaders of the magical city have broken down. We are still working on things, and until then, the city will be heavily guarded with the SM until we can come to an agreement that makes everyone's lives a little easier. As always, travel safe and stay amazing Simul. This is Lucius Scarletwound signing off. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top

  • Pantheon | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Pantheon Pantheon Below you will find the listing for each temple or shrine available for worship or sanctuary. There will also be little blurbs about the God or Goddess themselves and if there are any updates to a particular temple or shrine. Send Hinrich: The God of Stories Deep within the Alderman Mountains lies one of the most elusive cities Simul has to offer. This elusiveness also spreads to their own internal worships and religions. However, one religion has come to light in the masses. The main practices that the dwarves of Dun’Lorn have kept secret for centuries. Shortly after the War of the Brothers , the dwarves shared some of their home life with the rest of Simul. This included the teachings of Hinrich: God of Stories. In some of the most ancient stories, Hinrich was once a human who had an almost insatiable lust for knowledge. He learned all that he could about his tribe, his city, and his people before setting about learning the other races he could find. He learned everything he could about the old world and those who lived in it. Eventually, he became arrogant and began to hoard his knowledge from the rest of the world. There were whispers though...Whispers that this man had poured through ancient texts of gods and worship. It has been said he began to piece together how to cross into the realm of the gods to uncover all the knowledge that he could ever desire. So, when he finally crossed over, the gods were less than pleased with this interloper breaching their world to steal their knowledge. They cursed him to wander the world and collect all known knowledge and record it for them and to never stop moving and collecting it for them as long as he may exist. He slowly gained godlike power over the mortal plane… The people who worship this man, Hinrich, tend to be very introverted. Oftentimes striving for knowledge, Followers of Hinrich often achieve high levels of education. Not just one subject either, these followers will, more often than not, seek to expand their knowledge to the highest degrees they can in each and every subject they can. You can find them worshipping in the temple laid out in Temples of Unity or traveling to Dun’Lorn in order to find better ways to thank and ask for help from the God himself. Send Eros: The God of Love and Companionship As many know, love and companionship is the building structure of any healthy relationship. Along with, of course, honesty, respect, and understanding. As many stories go, Eros is not actually a God, but something much much deeper. The rumors started as just that. Rumors of enemies becoming friends. Rumors of beasts roaming with spirits. Rumors of pirates shoveling coin to the poor. The first instance, the people were confused. How could they have the feeling to sit down with another who they despised? Why did they feel the need to be charitable when they were also downtrodden? What made them have the urge to rid their minds and hearts of regret and grudges? Though they questioned the sudden switch in their brains, the people did not stop it. For there was a little peace in their world, and it felt nice. However, as many good things, it came to a halt, and the fighting and rumors spread again. Many blamed each other for the lack of progress of building the kingdom. Some hated that others used magic. Some looked down on the ones who could not. The kingdom was in trouble, again. And after years, another wave of peace hit the lands. That is where the rumors became more than just words. It was never really proven, but, there have been stories passed down through families and generations of the one responsible for the constant waves of peace. They call him Eros. Depicted as a man dressed in pinks and reds and whites with a beautiful face and gentle touch. This man, clad in his brightly colored armor, has been said to have been seen by those who have lost all hope in humanity. No one can pinpoint exactly where these stories come from or how far back this goes, but Eros has gained a massive following. He does have a temple located within the walls of Temples of Unity , but that seems to be the only place of worship for the lesser known God. People tend to pray to him at home, or randomly throughout their days in order to gain inner peace and love for their brethren. Many of the people who follow devoutly tend to be very kind and charitable within not only their homes, but the kingdom at large. They often take any opportunity to show kindness and affection to others, especially since most of them fancy themselves empaths. Some actually are. You can often find trinkets and tapestries depicting Eros himself. Usually surrounded by hearts and stars with a gleaming smile upon his face. Send Gloria: The Goddess of War and Honor During the early years of Simul coming into existence, there were many times that war was imminent. Due to various reasons, those who used magic and those who were not magically inclined butted heads. However, for some reason or another, things always seemed to settle down. Those who chose to coexist did not question it, chalking it up to the fates. Radicals, however, blamed the weakness of others. For centuries, every time the citizens of Simul seemed to come closer and closer to conflict, things settled just as quickly. Over time, stories emerged. Most considered them myths, legends, bedtime stories. Tales from people claiming to have witnessed an angel coming to them in their dreams. A celestial woman, covered in white and beautiful, deep crimson locks. She came to many in their slumber, speaking words of calming peace and logical solutions to conflicts. A small following for this woman, whose name was only given and spoken as Gloria, began to form. Praising to this supposed deity usually came by the few people who truly believed with words of wisdom and conflict resolution. There were not many, but those who did believe often traveled the lands and spoke her name, offered soothing advice, and gave promises they had been given upon slumber; That the land of Simul would be a land of eternal peace. No matter the conflict, Simul would always come back together as one. It was not until the War of the Brothers in 9405 that the name Gloria became a household name. It was during the war that she made herself known during not only the night, but during the day as well. As a beacon of hope to those who wanted to give up. As a figurative shield to those who took more punches than they could give. Each and every soldier who fought on the side of good swore, in one form or another, that the beautiful and gracious Gloria had come to their rescue. Stories continue to be told of those days, and her following has only increased over the decades. Send Salus and Malus: The Gods of Good and Evil Right: Salus Left: Malus Since the beginning of time, there has always been good and evil. Right and wrong. Light and dark. For Simul, it came in the form of two brother Gods. Salus and Malus. The story goes…: Salus and Malus had always fought over who should be the more influential. Good and light was pleasant. It was hard, but worth every stress. However, evil was easy. Just doing what one wanted with no thought to another. As Simul grew and the population increased, Salus and Malus would argue over how the nation would lay out. As the two brothers fought, the land suffered. From the anti-magic followings to bad crops, evil seemed to be winning over the people for the worse. Even Salus, the pleasant of the two, had begun to notice the changes. Not only within the people, but within himself. Salus made a compromise; One he was not proud of, but knew it was for the best. As the emotions of the brothers flared, so did the heat down on the land of the living. He wanted to give the people something to believe in. Something good and promising. To do that, he needed to show himself. This alone, was a difficult task to achieve. If the people did not believe in good anymore, no one would see him. Oh, the particulars of being a deity. As tempers grew and suspicions blazed through the paranoia of Simul, Salus came to an agreement with his brother. If the people could see him, and he could preach the teachings of good and coexisting, Malus would lay up on his hatred. Malus agreed. So, one night during the harsh winter of the year 972, Salus took faith in not only himself, but the one he planned on revealing himself to. The man’s name was Herald Fortescue: The soon to be crowned King. While the man slept, Salus came in and woke him with words of the future. The future that would unfold if the people did not come to a consensus and life in harmony. Less than a year later, Herald took the word he had received and spoke them out to the people. He would later be crowned King, his family to hold the title for all time. The words Herald spoke those days were nothing other than extraordinary. He spoke of the spirit that had come to visit him, claiming to be the guardian of Simul. He recited the awful things that had already happened between the people. The paranoia and pointed fingers. The accusations and thieving. Herald also spoke of the promises this spirit, Salus had made. That if things were not to change, his brother, Malus, would reign supreme; destroying all that they had built. Though the majority of people could tell the King was telling the truth, there were still a handful of people who refused, taking up the following of Malus and refusing to live in peace with their neighbors. These people eventually took up hiding and living in a far off mountain range. The rest of Simul had taken hands and sang their joy to their new King and the promises of Salus. The followers of Salus, of all that is good and right in the world, practice just that. From being selfless with charity and doing their best to live a life to be proud of, they also tend to be more forgiving than others. Even when one has done them wrong, a Follower of Salus will swallow any and all pride and anger in order to keep the coexisting ideal of Simul alive. Most Followers are very clean and tend to their surroundings with care. They also do worship Salus, either at home, or in various temples throughout the kingdom. The most popular being that temple within the Temples of Unity . It is the largest white building toward the north of the island with double stairs leading up to the grand doorway. Often being met with priests and priestesses that will offer food and a bath should the traveler be in need. The followers of Malus, however, stay fairly hidden within the depths of a mountain range north of Sudbury. It is said there is an entire village inside of the deepest caves where those who have come to hate magic and its users, and just about anything that is not considered a regular humanoid as well. These people, though peaceful to one another, tend to be rather paranoid and avoid those who use magic or supernatural abilities. Some who have tried to explore the area have come home to say that they had a hard time using any magic or enchanted items in the secretive mountains . It has also been said that there is an extremist group of these Followers of Malus who take and torture those who are vulnerable in order to cleanse Simul of the wicked they perceive. The Church of Benitoite just outside of SkyHaven seems to be one of these extremist groups. Send Tree of Life The Tree of Life is one of the oldest "Religions" (Way of Life) inside of Simul. From the moment the first human set foot inside of the continent, a massive tree on the island that Eleutheria now sits on ‘activated’. As the humans grew and spread across the land, the Tree stood still, awaiting the time to be discovered. Only a few hundred years into Simul’s history, the Tree was found by those who began construction on Eleutheria. It was not until the humanoids tried to cut down the massive tree that they understood it was not just a tree. An axe came swinging down. It did not hit the Tree. The sound of repelling glass could be heard throughout the area. The people stopped and stared as a ripple upon the Tree’s barrier shot upward and into the ground below. From that moment on, the people had something to believe in: The magical land that had come upon. For quite some time after, the Tree stood tall and proud as the citizens of Simul built its city’s capital around it. They thought it brilliant as the land seemed invigorated. No matter how many foot falls crushed the grass nor how many trees were cleared, the land still grew where it could. Leaving large, open places for gardens and nature’s beauty, Eleutheria came to be alongside its nature brethren. Whispers began, as all rumors naturally start. Whispers of the Tree and its magical protection. Whispers of the never wilting leaves and the never shedding bark. Some people wanted to try and take it down, to no avail. More often than not, people prayed. Though they had no gods or goddesses they worshiped, something about the tree gave them hope. So, they prayed. They prayed for good harvests and less ailments and for a good life. One day, the tree answered. The first gift upon the people was not even for the people; It was for one little old lady by the name of Juniper Florence. The story goes: Juniper had lost it all. Her husband to old age, her children to sickness and her home for lack of stable work. She had prayed every day for it all. For better health, a longer life, her husband and her children...It was not until Juniper began to pray for the last time she had promised herself, that the Tree finally made a move. From the top of the highest branch, a single leaf danced down to her lap. It was also said that Juniper heard a voice. She could not tell if it was female or male, only that it gave her very specific instructions on how the gift worked. She was only gifted one, as any other persons on the face of existence would get, should they be so lucky. It was a personal gift. One she could use for any given wish in the realm of ‘healing’. She was also asked to share this with the world. To tell them what the Tree was capable of and to prove that the wish would be granted. It asked her to wish in front of an audience, to which she said she would. What did Juniper use her gift for, you may ask? It was simple. She wanted to be young again. Specifically, as young as she was when she met her husband. In a brilliant display of light and bright colors, and in front of her remaining family, Juniper became a vibrant young lass of only twenty years old. The miracle was shared between the family members who also promised to speak well of the tree and its wish granting capabilities. From then on out, The Tree of Life was a staple for the majority of homes across Simul. This instance became what fueled the ‘religion’ or following of the Tree of Life. The people believed that such a strong symbol of nature was to be nurtured and cared for, just like the rest of the planet. Those who follow the Tree follow the simplistic, yet morally amazing, set of life choices. From protecting and valuing their land to respecting and cherishing good natured magic. Most of them are peace loving and will do what is necessary to resolve issues, big or small, with basic humanoid decency. During times of war or widespread strife, those who practice the Tree of Life teachings are often found on the front lines or battlefront healers. They protect fiercely and live the best lives that they can, surrounded by love. Oftentimes, they will decorate their home with nature in mind. Such as: Building their home with magic rather than cutting down too many trees. Decorate with items nature has given them like fallen branches, wilted flowers, or even hand carvings of the Tree of Life symbol that has been reiterated for generations. Sticking with nature-like colors as to not destroy the atmosphere of the world around them. There are many rituals that the people who follow the Tree do. However, none of them are original. As the teachings have been handed down through generations, one can see that in each individual and the way they do things. Some will practice by praying next to a Tree, or a tree that symbolizes the first for them. In the year 9401, however, the tree would take a very large hit. The battle between the brothers Jayden and Jeffry became nothing short of a massive war, with Eleutheria being at the head. It has been said that Jayden had a dream. In the dream, he was told to take down the tree before his brother came with his amassed army. It would strengthen his numbers, or so, he was promised. Little did he know, it was all an elaborate ruse from the Gods of Good and Evil. With the most powerful mages at his disposal and an axe, Jayden hacked away at the barrier and eventually exposed the tree. Six mages and the brother himself all descended upon the massive trunk and electrified the entire thing. A burst of powerful lightning came down….and destroyed the tree. Exploding it and causing hundreds of pieces to rain back down from the sky. With the tree destroyed, Jayden was sure he would be victorious and the land would obey him….but his brother Jeffry showed up just hours later, wiping him from existence. The Tree, though gone from existence, was still prayed to, and still is. Though it is no longer growing at the pinnacle of Simul, the people believe the land is still sacred and treat it as such. The followers of the Tree tend to their land and gardens with the utmost care. In the year 10,013, something erupted. Quite literally. During the season of warming, there were more quakes. This time, much smaller on scale. However, they were strong enough to cause some damage. The Temples of Unity, the center of Timberholde, the northern outskirts of Oak Silva, directly above the entrance of Dun'Lorn, and the center of Tranquillum were all affected at the very same moment. In the middle of each quake, a split in the earth appeared. Almost like large craters, these holes were deep and.... pulsated . Those who bore witness tell the tale of the Trees. In less than an hour, the massive trees erupt from the craters created, fully furred with leaves and tough bark. Those who heard the stories knew what had happened: The Tree had returned five-fold. There are said to be protectors of the Tree. People who have been chosen to be the barrier between the Tree and the world. These people, who are chosen from only Gods know where, usually live within or close by a Tree. • BREAKING NEWS (December 6, 2023) | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 BREAKING NEWS (December 6, 2023) BREAKING NEWS Yet another massive upset of the people has come in the form of something...unseen. With the disappearance of local wildlife on the Northern Coast, citizens of Simul have taken notice. Whispers of a mad man "melting flesh" from "carcasses and live animals" have been spreading like wildfire across the northern parts of our great kingdom. Some have made it their duty to find whoever this person/s are/is, but the only facts we have learned is that the person keeps to an area not easily reached on the cliffside near the ocean. Witnesses state that there was more than one person during the time of the incident. It appeared that only one was the aggressor. Flames have eaten away the cliff face and the landscape has slid into the ocean. There is no news on survivors or who the people were in the area. Will update when more is known. Please be safe, folks. This is Flynn, signing off. Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update Views Back to Top

  • Lux Amare | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Category Lux Amare Lux Amare Dates and Time: 2/5-2/8 During the end of winter, there lies a holiday that many find to be the most important. Very few would find this holiday a headache. More often than not, it is revered as one of the best and many even look forward to it. You can read more on Lux Amare HERE found on Bruma the 8th. The end of winter also means many different things. Less snow. Warming weather. Signs that crops may be planted soon. Color returning to the lands of Simul. However, there is one more thing people who are in love look forward to. The annual hunt of the Cor. Cor are quite adorable with a bit of a sad background. Cor are creatures who boast beautiful and soft pink colored fur, large black eyes, and short stubby legs. Weighing no more than five pounds for the first twenty years of their long lives, Cor are often considered immortal. Mostly because their rare adult form is seldom seen. Once they reach maturity, near the second decade of life, Cor will escape their confines, whether the home they have chosen or the area in which they lived in Simul, and go back to their birthing grounds for mating in Tranquillum during the month of Sumo. Once mated, they give birth to one or two offspring during the month of Hiems and shortly after pass away and become a part of the land in Tranquillum. This leaves the offspring without parents and without a clue on the outside world. You can read more about these creatures HERE During Lux Amare, it has become tradition that the citizens of Simul, especially those in love, with hunt down and hopefully bond with one of these small animals. It is said that once bonded, the Cor will become part of your family for its life and bring great success in love and happiness. A good luck charm in the form of something so adorable! It is no wonder the rumored tradition has gone on for centuries. Besides, who doesn't want a gift of something so cuddly? The Event: During the listed dates above, all are allowed to join in this event. You can play as many characters as you wish and there is no post order unless you plan on roleplaying out a scene with other people. Then you must determine your own post order. You must roll a d20 in the bot spam channel. Only once! You must also label this number with the chosen character, otherwise, the roll will not count. If it is edited, it will not count. Whatever number you get is your number. Others may get the same number, but that does not matter. You do not have to have a different number. Just remember your own. Every time you post, which you can do once per hour (60 minutes between posts), and your character comes across a Cor, you must roll again to see if your number comes up. This can be done in the channel of the hunt (Tranquillum). If not, that is not the fuzzy cute for you! Move on and find another, for that one will not bind with your character and will escape if your character tries and take it home. You may only acquire ONE Cor to take home with your character. Again, anyone is allowed to join in this event. Find a partner for it, or go at it alone. Happy Hunting! Send Send Send Send No Updates Yet Most Recent Update None yet Views Back to Top

  • Festival of the Setting Sun | Kingdom of Simul

Library of Shit Updates Heading 2 Festival of the Setting Sun Starting Date: Messis 1st (9-1-20) Midnight MT You can read more about this event in the Calendar. Once again, the Festival of the Setting Sun will be held in Timberholde. From the reaches of Arbrestor to the depths of Oak Silva, people from all walks of Simul will converge on the centrally located city in order to sell goods and donate to those less fortunate in order to make sure as many that can, survive the harsh winters of this great kingdom. This year, with the installation of the teleportation totems throughout the land, the turn out is expected to be much larger than it ever has. Special Mentions: Idel's shop, The Whispering Ether, is having a massive sale! BOGO on all potions and BOG2 on everything else he has in stock! Near the center of the bustling square of Timberholde, Merna, a rather talented farmer, has opened shop for all of her freshly baked goodies! Breads and rolls and donuts and nutty cookies, she has something for everyone's sweet tooth or carb loving self. Stop by and stock up! Taliesha, on her time off from tending to the gardens, loves to make clothing! Yes indeedy. Most of the time, it is winter wear gear and she stores it all until The Festival of the Setting Sun in order to give to the less fortunate. For her more intricate items, she does charge a fee, but it is worth every penny. These items, from socks to coats, are enchanted to shake off a little bit more of the cold than a normal piece of gear would. Anyone can find her at her own booth near the center of town. Every night during the month of Messis, the community comes together for a massive feast. This is to ensure everyone in need will not go hungry before winter. The streets will be lined with tables and fire pits and even enemies will stay civil for the massive feast. One of the most beautiful parts of this legend of a holiday.
